Here's an in depth tutorial on creating a custom decal with your cricut. I go over every step from cricut design studio to vinyl cut and application. It's a super simple procedure that anyone can follow.

Thank you for such easy and clear instructions, it seems like all the videos showing this overcomplicate this Way more than necessary. ❤
I am completely new to using a circuit machine. I have watched so many videos (waiting to hear someone explain to beginners) which side of the vinyl goes face down onto the circuit mat. But have found no videos that give that very important information for beginners. So I'm hoping that someone here will answer that question for us beginners. Your answers are greatly appreciated.
Hey there. For vinyl like in the video, you’re going to have it facing upwards, sticking the back of the vinyl to the mat.
@@JMKDIY thank you for answering; and for such a speedy reply. Thank you for your easy to follow instructions.
Short, accurate, and straight to the point - two thumbs up! Thank you!

I wish I had found this video last Friday. I viewed numerous videos that were longer in length. It wasted my time because I left with many questions. Thanks for this video. It has helped me greatly.
This was the most basic and to the point how to video! Thank you!

Simple, explains everything, well done - thank you
Best video ever. Short and sweet
I love this video other videos took so long and barley understood it. I love how it’s straight forward.
Finally I found a video that is straight to the point. I've seen over 40 videos and they talk about everything else and throw some about the topic. Sort of like a baseball coach telling a beginning player to throw strikes. He demonstrates and then walks away. You gave a great explanation. Thanks.
Thank you! Glad I could help
Great tutorial. Thank you
Loved this video! At first I didn’t think it was going to answer my question but I took a chance it was the best video I’ve seen so far about decals lol

Thanks for posting this. You make it so easy to understand than other tutorial videos. If I wanted to sell decals, what do I need?
Thank you!
THANK YOU omg ppl talk around this like crazy and I wish they’d just get to the point lol! I want to make decals for my Cricut now! (And others!) tysm!
Thank you, for this short and well explained video. I would like to know if I can use 3 colours on the same decal and also if I should put a laminated protection sheet before cutting the design ? Tank you ! 👍👍
Thanks for the tutorial video.
Have u make car decals that have different colors/layers
Thank you for the straight up tutorial without any additional talking on how not to, etc.
How do you apply the decal to the inside of glass window where you can read a font from outside the glass?
I wish you could take these other teacher how to get to the point. This was perfect.
Thanks for this it was very helpful. What is the difference between the cricut maker and the cricut explore?
That was very helpful. Do you get a certain type of transfer paper?
Hit it and quit it! My kind of video! Thanks!
Nice. Well done. I am looking to transfer a picture I’ve taken to software and do what you’ve done with your turtle and size it to put on the back cab of my truck. Can this be done! Looking for suggestions. Thank you.
Thanks for the vid. A couple questions. First, shouldn't you seal this to help it to not breakdown in the sun & weather? Maybe a polyurethane spray on top after it's cut. Other sealing options?
To help protect the decal, wouldn't it make more sense to mirror the image and then apply the transfer tape on top so the decal could be applied to the inside of the window? Sealing would be more difficult but at least the decal is protected from the elements (not necessarily the sunlight). What are your thoughts?
Thanks.
EXCELLENT! How can I make an oval black and white car decal? They are popular on vacation decals, but I can't find a tutorial on how to make them.
Hey what’s the blue mat ? Looks like an easy way to get the stickers on the adhesive tape. I usually have a problem transfer to the sticker paper the first try
If not applying to a window right away or selling what do you use to protect it on the transfer paper? Thank you.
Does the cling vinyl also require transfer paper?
How about outdoor removable vinyl? I would assume you can mirror it and apply on the inside of a car or house window?
I have seen people say you need to spray the decal with a poly. Is that just for color ones or is it really not needed? I am confused as if that would mess the decal up when you remove
the transfer tape
What kind of transfer paper do you use?
I have a cameo 4 what cut settings do you recommened?
what was the material that you applied the decal to for use later
How does the process change if you choose moderately complex for say 3 colors as opposed to the simple you show in this video? Just Got my cricut explore 3 on Christmas day, so I'm thinking a car decal should be fairly simple to do as a beginner.
What is the best model machine for something like this and how big does it do.
Will cricut removable matte work for a car window
Did you use Matte or Glossy Vinyl?
So is this Vinyl different from the vinyl used on shirts?
Will it work with the joy?
How many window roll downs to you get before the turtle starts shedding scales?
Will it remove without damage or residue ?
Can we use Cricut brand vinyl? Does brand matter?
Doesn't have to be mirrored right?
Can we use removable vinyl for a car ?
How long do the decals usually last? On average.
Does it have to be shiny side down ?
Great video!! Will removable vinyl stay on a car window for a long time?
Thank you and yes! Oracle 651 should last as long as you’d like it to. Most colors are rated at 6 years.
Wait, you mean you don't want to talk to me for 15 minutes before you ACTUALLY start telling me how to do the tutorial?
I'm freaking sorry but I'm sad lol
JUST KIDDING
Like all the precious comments, we appreciate your straight to the point approach. I think you should have as many likes as there are views, but you gained a follower!
How about making them for inside decals for cars
Straightforward! How long does Oracal 651 last on car windows? Do you suggest laminating them? I’m looking for best quality and durability. Thanks!
Apologize for seeing this comment late. For black and white 651 it’s rated at 6 years and the other colors are 4 years. No laminating needed! It’s made for outdoor use. I applied a decal to the rear windshield of a friend’s car at the time of this video and it is still perfect at nearly 3 years in the hot Texas sun!
@@JMKDIY thank you so much, definitely appreciate your insight.
Great tutorial! Question for you - is there a removal process to change it out to another design down the road?
Thank you! You can peel up a vinyl window decal with the edge of a razor blade and it should come off fairly easily once you have enough to grab. I actually removed the one from the video with my fingernails without much trouble, no residue or anything left behind
Thanks 😊 straight to the point! Love this
What kind of paper do you need
Red they easy to remove?
Hi how to apply vinyl inside the car or shop window?
