Live video from Demo Day at Baileys in Woodland, CA
I bought one of those, did not come with any instructions. Including a little pamphlet page with drawings and/or a link to this video is in order
Terlihat lebih baik, namun jika untuk dibawa ke tempat jauh, ini cukup merepotkan, dan saya terbiasa membelah kayu tanpa malting sama sekali. Salam dari Indonesia🙏
What type of trees are in the background?
They look like Palm trees. They haven’t shed their previous leaves yet, that’s why they look scraggly.
How do get away from breathing fumes I tried with the same setup and fumes killed me
I am having problems with the saw jamming in the cut. It seems that the saw is cutting sideways even with a new chain. How to correct this?
Yeah, I definitely need to get one of those. Excellent
This was very informative. Thank you for this
No joke, my Granberg looks, feels, and performs like a solid, quality tool. I enjoy it and I can rely on it.
That's great to hear! Thank you for buying American :)
I feel like this would be more convincing if you actually had a stress analysis simulation showing why it's necessary for the frame to be able to hold up a man... otherwise it could just be overbuilt
Thanks for the feedback! I will pass it on to the R&D team.
I've had my small log mill and vertical mini mill for a dozen years without any failure. I've milled up many trees in the backwoods of west Virginia. Oak,tulip poplar, maple, birch. Its built my farmhouse table, end tables, chicken coops, etc. I cant bring myself to buy chinese knockoffs of American products and take food off our workers tables. For me its granberg or nothin!
Wow, this is incredible! Thank you for sharing your story with us. It’s folks like you that keep us going strong. We’re proud to have been a part of so many of your projects - Granberg for life! 💪🌲🇺🇸

Good job
I wouldn't consider tightening the bar clamp bolts so much. Is it really necessary? There's not THAT much force involved
After milling tens of thousands of board feet the last few years I’ve found holzzforma and neotec chainsaws have done utility, especially the saws over 100cc, but their mills are horrendous. Neotecs is better than Holzzformas, but Holtz isn’t even suitable to hold open a door. Granberg is the best I’ve found out there for milling equipment, I won’t buy anything else at this point. Just upgraded to the EZ rail system and have a few other items on the way.
Thank you for supporting an American-made company! Awesome, you got the EZ-Rail system too. Happy milling!
THIS should be shown on your website too!!! I didn't know how lucky I am to have a Granberg (no experience with knock-offs). So lucky I dug deeper for the Granberg. Marketing of knock-offs is very deceiving because they use the same form factor. I was SHOCKED to see the side-by-side!
We had quite a good laugh making the video. You can really see the difference in quality. Thank you for supporting an American-made company like us 🙂
Stay tuned for more!
Did I understand you do not carry a ripping chain that would fit my 16 inch Ego battery powered chain saw ?
Looks impressive
What a fantastic tutorial on using the Alaskan mill! The tips about the ripping chain and the importance of inspecting the log for contamination were super helpful. I also appreciated how you emphasized safety gear-it's so crucial when working with chainsaws! Can't wait to see how the first cut goes; keep up the great work!
Glad to hear the video was so helpful! Thank you for the comment.
The motors don't last to long.Cant find the right motor.Im trying a different brand
Hi Mike, We have a lifetime warranty on all our sharpeners and mills. If the motor has failed you please call us at 925-380-9400 and we will get your problem figured out.
The rail thing is OK , but a ladder works much better. A ladder , if long enough, can hang off the ends so you can rest the saw on it for the first cut. Also good for ending the cut by having the ladder hang out so the saw cant easily rest on it. Much safer. Also makes it easy to secure the ladder on both ends eliminating having to get a level out. There is no need for a level. I use the ladder on all cuts not just the first. Slabs come out much straighter.I
I love my mill. High quality. I use it as a hobby, great products.
GREAT VIDEO
People actually ripping themselves off purchasing inferior product ! ...Granberg all the way! 🙏🏼✊🏼
I've had my granberg mill, mini mill, and stabbing brackets for years and I've cut more than 1k ft of slabs and boards without any failure. I try to always support american manufacturing when I can. I lost my production job of 18 years when they shifted manufacturing to Canada. God bless America 🇺🇸😁👍
Love my granberg mills, fantastic quality for the price
Buy cheap, buy twice... Extremely satisfied with our Granburg...
Great video. Thanks!
Where can I buy such a clip-n-cut accessory? I did not find it on Amazon.
Absolutely and I do this every time and can amazingly show you what you’re saw really goes through, thank you for sharing,
I really love it'show would i get it's
I really love it'show would i get it's
The Allen cap head bolts used to clamp the blade need a 5/32 inch Allen key, outside of the USA that's 4 mm
Ive been milling for over a decade and love granbergs products. Ive thought about hetting one of those GB bars, ive heard theyre about the best you can get. Maybe wait until you have another holiday sale. Thanks for sharing
I know what hes talking about, i have a regular cordless 20v trimmer, but it won't do too thick of branches,.. but i sure would like to try that on 40v 12" chainsaw,... THE 40V GREENWORKS CHAINSAW IS GREAT FROM CLIMBING TREES, I WAS ALREADY WANTING A LONGER BAR AND CHAIN
Awesome! You can check out the Clip-n-Trims here: www.granberg.com/product-category/garden-eq/
A hedge trimmer would do a much better job
Our Clip-n-Trims are designed for heavier branches and not detail work so much.
@@granberginternational makes sense. its a good idea for something in between a hedge and a coppice row i guess
This is a great video; it really helps me feel a lot more comfortable with such a serious tool in such a new way of using anything. That confidence is important to safety; I tend to not be the "reckless" kind of unsafe, but the anxious kind, where if I am not clear and comfortable with what I'm doing, it's less safe because of stop-start, hesitant, skittish nonsense. I have a tree that took how my roof and some great wood in it that I''m determined to harvest and use on principle. And I have to use this setup because I can't afford many new expensive tools. So thank you, this video is directed exactly at my beginner questions.
This is great to hear! We are always available by phone or email Mon-Fri as well for any questions about milling. Thanks and happy milling!
How much time does it take to cut logs?
greetings from Poland :)
How do I set the granberg Alaskan chainsaw mill to cut different thicknesses?
Should do a video of the grandberg oiler😊😊😊😊😊
What size chain for a 30 inch bar ? Thanks
What does your bar call for? Should be something like 98DL etched into the side. You also need to know the gauge of the chain and if the tip is 3/8 mucht or not.
Got a rail system from you, it's awesome, you can also have left your Mill on and made a leveler cut😊😊😊😊
I just got mine the other day and I can’t watch this enough at the moment, thanks, I got the 24 inch mill package.
You should wear gloves. Your skin absorbs contaminants. If you wouldn’t put it in your mouth don’t get it on your hands
Compressed air can damage the air filter
Haven't used mine yet, but this video explained everything in great detail. Many tips that I am glad I saw. Thank you.
Nice 👍🏽 can’t wait to use mine!
Do you file the scoring chain along with the normal teeth?
Yes.
Play the video at 1.5 speed, he gets to the point a bit quicker.
