Works now u have to replace bcm for everything to work

amp will definitely help the truck already had a small amp

i seen alot of reviews they said they have a air leak thru the filter

With these years/generation of Vortec engine, they run a mass airflow sensor. Any metered air vented out of the can past the sensor will cause the idle to surge as the MAP sensor in the manifold fights to reconcile the funky inputs from the missing air. Any catch can system on these must be closed.

The ventilated catch can with the little filter on top connects to both valve covers to release pressure to the atmosphere instead of returning it back to your engine

you need to swap your bcm

you do not have to switch bcm in order to work unless you want your power mirrios to work then yes you do

@@Henrylxt naw man i haven't figured it out yet.I didnt have master switch so i hope that is the problem. Just ordered it hopefully thats it.

That was the problem. I was using passenger switch. Soon as i pit master switch in worked like a charm.

I’ve been trying that for 2 days now and the truck won’t start it’s my daily and I don’t know what to do lol we just removed the security bypass for rem start I’m trying again as we speak

it won’t crank at all or it does crank? if not put your old bcm back and see if it works and if it don’t then it’s a fuse

@@Henrylxt it won’t learn the new bcm it cranks and I can go through the steps but after the 3rd time when I go to start it it won’t and the security light goes back to staying illuminated. If I don’t have a good connection on the green wire from bcm will it cause that?

@@Henrylxt I put my old bcm back in and it fired right up but won’t program with any other bcm I’ve tried 2 now

yes they do you need to swap your bcm with all that features for them to fold

i’m not sure if this will work for 99-02 trucks

99-02 trucks have completely different electronics. Youre going to need to chop and cut all the wires and adapt them to your original connector. And if you want to get the turn signal function with power folding youre going to need to make separate connections but its all worth it. Itll make your 99-02 more unique
