carried the same one on me since i was 12
An elite tool🤙 big fan of this knife especially with the black scales. Cheers for watching 🤙
Thanks for that review Aussie. Im going to purchase the outrider. Iv got the Huntsman, but im going to pass that on to my daughter. I want the outrider, it looks more substantial. It has a Philips driver too. 👍
No worries mate 👍 highly recommended a great tool and surprisingly lightweight🤙🤙 big fan of the hidden Philips. Cheers for watching 🤙
WTF stop and show us the plants properly. First one is just catttail.
My bad mate I will have to show how to identify the food source by sight properly next time and show a proper image of said plant 👍 they say food is in short supply but I think it is knowledge that is short supply 🤙 cheers for watching mate 👍
Very nice review, moite! Btw, what's your impressions on the 111mm bottle openers? I always thought they were a bit of an overkill for opening bottles, when compared to the 91mm or the 58mm models.
Thanks mate 👍 they are definitely an overkill 🤣 I like the liner lock but feel it would be better if it was on the wood saw tbh. Cheers for watching 🤙
Informative and beneficial video
Appreciate it brother 👍👍 cheers for watching 🤙🤙
Yeah excellent fast paced review. Concise, and detailed, and not drawn out like other reviews iv seen. 👍
Except for the fact that our Nanny state government outlawed carrying of Swiss Army knives everywhere but QLD.
Lately I've been EDC Climber with plus scales + Pineapple mini from ReyLight, I'm amazed at how many possibilities such a small EDC has !
Sounds like an elite combo mate 👌 great edc nice and light as well 🤙🤙 cheers for watching 👍
Are the scales the same material as other SAK knives?
The 111mm ones have a different material for the scales man more of a mat finish with more grip 👌 a nylon combo I believe 👍cheers for watching
Good review of the large SAK Outrider, ready for adventure. Fun channel liked and subscribed
Thanks heaps mate a handy knife indeed 👍 cheers for watching 🤙
Awesome review. Not sure about you loading your sandwich like a cheap corner shop though! 😂
🤣🤣🤣 cheers for watching mate 🤙🤙
It is a great knife. My one gripe with it though is that the saw does not have a liner lock. The sharp back of the saw is absolutely awesome for scraping a ferro rod or fat wood off a stick to get that lovely soft pile of flammable resin wood to take that spark. That would make this knife 99% perfect because nothing is 100%. They are missing out on a trick here. I'm sure that the worry of a long blade closing on your fingers is more than a blunt screw driver.
I couldn't agree more mate I thought the same thing when I was first looking over the knife. A locking saw would be far more useful then a locking screwdriver. Cheers for watching mate🤙🤙
A small tip I learnt is to take a small piece of wood and close the saw on it. Now it won't fall back in the tool or on your fingers
@@arbiter1er nice idea as an improvised solution but still not ideal in the grand scheme of things. I’ve contacted victorinox and hopefully they may look into it as a viable idea.
Another supreme SAK vid bud. Quick, exciting and informative. You should look at the Hunter XT next looks like a nice model . PS the fact you raw dogged a salami and cheese sandwich with no butter or condiments shows determination/mental instability 😂 Good video
Cheers brother will definitely look into the Hunter XT 👍 🤣🤣🤣the only way to eat them. Thanks for watching mate 🤙🤙🤙
@aussieaxedude154 you also forgot the reamer but I won't hold that against you. 👍👍👍👍
I have the exact same knife but it has the additional pliers and metal file...Workchamp maybe? Victorinox, how can you go wrong?
Yea nice man I have had my eye on the Workchamp for a while🤙🤙 definitely not mate top knives for sure thanks for watching 👍
Good stuff mate! Living life with that quad in country like that 👌 what was that packpack at 2:35, looks the goods
Cheers bro was a great day for a ride with the weather starting to warm up 👍 it was a $20 temu special man but a really good backpack 👌👌 thanks for watching mate 🤙🤙
HUNTSMAN was 1 layer to wide for me this is perfect
Definitely nice and sleek the climber👌👌 thanks for watching mate 👍
I absolutely love my SAK Champ but i also carry a Leatherman Surge on trips and i tend to go for the leatherman more often as i find its easier to access the tools and use.
Yea nice mate I don't own a leatherman Surge but I have heard they are great 👍 I do have the leatherman Wave good bit of kit 🤙 cheers for watching.
Ah yes the Outrider king of 111mm SAKs. Cool video dude.
Couldn't agree more mate definitely an elite SAK. Cheers for watching bro 🤙🤙🤙
Another epic review mate!
Cheers brother great knife 🤙🤙🤙
I bought this and the Swiss Champ because they are the rare SAKs to have the inline Phillips head screwdriver. The Tinkers have the Phillips head replacing the corkscrew but it's awkward to unscrew something. I also have a Milwaukee Fastback '6 in 1' as it also has a inline 1/4" hex with double ended Phillips/straight screwdriver bit. p.s. I have never lost a toothpick :)
Yea nice man sounds like a handy bit of kit 👌 hahahaha a skill I'm yet to possess thanks for watching mate 👍
Great video mate! I've used one for over 20 years and love it. I agree the corkscrew doesn't see much use.
Cheers for watching legend 🤙🤙 couldn't agree more 👍
The weight of this pocket knife alone makes it a must!! very light great 🔪
Cheers for watching bro 🤙extremely light indeed.
Sweet short man👍 again I do prefer the Hunter in the green colour but a lot of the tools on this knife are legendary 😂 would like to replace that corkscrew with the Philips driver though.
Cheers for watching mate 🤙 totally agree the Philips would be much handier 👍
Mine is on order, should ship end of the month. I plan to hang it from my belt suspended inside my pocket.
Nice mate 👌 sounds like a good way to carry the Swiss Champ. Cheers for watching 👍👍
usually these types of axes are used most commonly for wood splitting thus the wedge shape of the axe itself (with the very tip of the axe head being the most used part) , and in many cases the axe is fitted similarly to a tomahawk or a pickaxe, none the less great video
Thanks for the information mate 👍 this makes sense as this axe was a terrific splitter 👌👌👌 cheers for watching bro.
Sweet Jonnie! How did you find the history of the axe head being from Macedonia? Any estimates on how old it is?
these splitting mauls were common in Balkans in the early 20th century. I have seen them from Serbia to Greece and everywhere in between
Cheers cuz 👍 it was given to a family member from an old Macedonian bloke years ago he said it belonged to his father🤙🤙 no idea exactly how old it is.
Thanks for the info mate👍
Took me a while to understand the 'overstrike protection' & then it hit me, it's for when U strike with the edge facing the sky 👍 ☁️
🤣🤣🤣 with the way I swing bro this old axe needed all the protection it could get🤙 cheers for watching mate
Love it! Nice job hanging and great to see the SAK being helpful.
Cheers brother 👍 the wood saw was good for widening the kerf 🤙🤙
That old axe came up a treat mate. Cool pup.
Thanks for watching bro 🤙🤙
re Tip 2 - do not bring mobile phone
That axe is wild!!! Cool vid bud👍
Super fun project mate 👍 cheers for watching 🤙🤙🤙
It'd be a great knife if it had a saw blade
Definitely mate the Explorer 2.0 perhaps 🤔 cheers for watching bro 👍
Downloaded
@WannabeStudent cheers for watching mate 👍

G'day digger. i was in for the transition from 'Jungle Greens and L1A1' to 'DPCU's and F88'. Didnt used to have to iron those dpcu's lol. was weird. Crispy creases on the Green's though 15Pl, Bravo Coy 'Tobruk Plt' Feb-May '86. 'Hallway Tobruk'! Grouse tips for anyone concidering. Hooroo cobber.
Yea nice mate how did you find the transition from the L1A1 to the F88? Cheers for watching brother 👍👍👍
@@aussieaxedude154 when you are used to 7.62 recoil and go to 5.56 'barrel jump', , "styr eye' first 3 rounds off of the EBS's... lol. prefered the heft of the SLR though.
Stop telling all the secrets wank
Thanks heaps mate, my son gets sworn in on Monday in Darwin then straight to Wagga. He’s going infantry. He won’t have any issues with your tips, he will blitz all that stuff! Cold weather will kill him though! 😂👍😂🇦🇺. Poor prick 😂
Good stuff mate I'm sure he will ace it 🤙🤙 🤣🤣🤣 Wagga does get surprisingly cold sometimes 🥶cheers for watching👍
Best Tribute ever to the Swisschamp! Cheers from Texas!
Glad you enjoyed it brother cheers for watching 👍👍👍
Orrrrr be born in the early 80's. Dunno cuz, such kents are harda.
Nice! Had one of these a few years now. Took a while to find a use for it, but has become a handy bit of gear👍👍🪓
Mad as man a cool little axe it was nice and affordable back in the day 👌cheers for watching bro 🤙🤙
Good review of a very useful axe!
Cheers for watching brother 🤙🤙🤙
Sweet axe mate 👍I wish it was as cheap as it was 4 years ago 😂
@@ShowStopper-yx2ig cheers for watching mate 👍
Pretty sure my Swiss Champ is so old it doesn't have everything on yours. Mine is missing the pliers, parcel hook, stick pin, ballpoint pen, eyeglass screw driver, and chisel. Then again it is from the early 90s so...
Yea right mate Victorinox must have made a few upgrades since then. Cheers for watching 👍👍👍
Here's a better idea. Unless you want to be a sheep of the government which is the lapdog of the US and they the puppets of Military Industrial Complex and other corporations, DON'T join the military. IF Australia is ever directly threatened, just like in Ukraine, there''l be plenty of need and opportunity to get trained, equipped and go fight. We spent two decades in Afghanistan for what? It was unwinnable from the outset and the Taliban did not attack the WTC. It was all BS just like WMD in Iraq, The Gulf of Tonkin incident in Vietnam etc. Ask yourself who profits from starting and dragging out wars? If you truly want to serve your country become a doctor/nurse, paramedic, counselor, educator, firefighter etc. Don't sign up to be a puppet. You'll pay more for your service physically and mentally than you'll earn.
Terrible shithole place , would region the Aussie Army again anyday, but would never go back to that place again.
I agree, absolutely nothing was "fun" about Blamey Barracks haha
Scott ogrady used their blade to check his face for injuries.
@@ssechres yea nice mate that reflective finish is very useful 👌
Very nice review, mate! But how does it compare to the huntsman bulkwise? Is the width difference big enough to justify sacrificing the woodsaw?
Cheers mate👍 I would say the width difference is so minor you barely notice it not worth sacrificing the handy Woodsaw if you have a need for it thanks for watching 🤙
The Huntsman is an additional layer, and since I carry my main SAK in my jean coin pocket, I can feel the difference. So, I usually carry the Camper, which is only three layers and has the saw instead of the scissors and no hook. Since I always have a Classic SD on my keychain, I have scissors, a file which works great as a ferro rod striker after a little 90 degree shaping. For me, this is a very pocket friendly setup with little redundancy. Oh. My Dad gave me a Climber decades ago, so it's a sentimental favorite with great functionality. It's even black like the one in this video.
I've got a Hercules and this size and shape SAK is so much better than the 91mm. The phillips drivers on mine are incredibly handy 👍 Yours is a slide lock, but looks new ?
The Hercules looks like a mint model man 👌👌 I can not find it anywhere to purchase online though 👎👎 definitely og slide lock never been used 🤙🤙 before I bought it anyway . A top light weight knife 🔪 that's for sure Victorinox seems to excel at keeping pocket tools nice and light weight 🤙🤙cheers for watching brother 👍
Great video mate and yes this is the daddy, but one thing is definitely annoying for me . The fact that the magnifying glass is housed in plastic, unlike the old Wenger models which were cased in steel. But apart from that I can’t fault it
Thanks for watching mate 🤙 this thing was next level 👌👌 initially I was sceptical of the thickness😯 That all changed when I seen how practical it is to use! Surprisingly light as well🤙🤙🤙
My favourite models are the field master and the ranger
Nice choice mate the field master is elite👌👌 I will have to check out the ranger. Cheers for watching 👍
Shedders make some good stuff. I have the old model axe and this new model as well. The new one is too thin right where your name is engraved. Compare it to an old hytest or other Tasmanian pattern. The old model snedden was way better.
They sure do man 👌 I would love to get my hands on one of the old model axes they look awesome 🤙🤙 thanks for watching mate 👍
Always a must great EDC 💯‼️
Definitely is mate has everything you need 👍👍 thanks for watching 🤙
