Every January 9th the Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazereno travels back to Quiapo Church in Manila and millions come from far and wide. Popularly known as the Black Nazarene 6.5million people attended last year - how many will there be this year, 2025?
the Black Nazarene is a depiction of Christ carrying his cross to his crucifixion. It is believed to perform miracles and that is one reason why millions come here every year.
I had to go and take a look at the biggest Religious festival in the Philippines if not the world. The streets were crowded and it was an amazing experience to be there.
Unfortunately it was a bad day for me as I had my pockets picked and the took my phone. The cost and inconvenience spoiled the day for me but let's not let the actions of a couple of kids spoil the occasion.
