This is the way how an expat can have a happy contented life in the Philippines. He even said to enjoy the rain which is something I enjoy too. Best expat channel ever... Mabuhay !
Can't go wrong with Tortang Talong (wow, that rhymed. lol). Though better if the eggplant is roasted... That Taguig wet market (or what we call "palengke") looks so clean and orderly. Wonder if it's a public market. Probably a private one. :)
I just saw a video in another soc. med. platform of a new 7-Eleven store in New Port Circle, Pasay City which is the 4000th store they've put up. Probably the best and most modern 7-Eleven in the country. It looks so posh and has loads of new and different food you can eat there. You might be interested in vlogging it. :)
hey @moondustgirl2132 maybe next time I will have a go at adobo, or even chance it with pancit or even up the tempo with liempo - who knows lol. I have no idea if it's a public/private market - I didn't know there was a difference
@@geordiejeff Haha, or "go big with Sisig", lol. As far as I know, there are also private owned wet markets. Public ones here are managed by the government to some extent.
oh no! you boiled the eggplant! it will not have that savory roasted flavour! lol! nice vlog. i'd give it a thumbs up despite the tortang talong disaster.
Thanks for watching. Boiling was my only option. Still, it was very tasty but I must try the other cooking methods if I get a chance. What to try next time?🤔
Grilled talong is the best for torta to get different aroma than boiled, or after boiling it , you can burn the skin of the talong by your stove or torch.
Hi Rich, I saw your message, sorry for late reply - I hope you are well. You should be able to make some good videos over there but be careful- they can get sensitive about what people post on social media

that mid aged salesperson will make a good partner for you, she seems kind and genuine, hope you'll have good connection
She was certainly very kind and a lovely person, you are a good judge of character. thanks for watching
😅.... 👏🎄👏🎄🤞😮🤳🫂
much more tasty if you burn na skill of eggplant better than boil it, to take out natural flavor on it! before fry it with egg
You are right! I’ll try that next time 😊
It becomes more tastier if you put a boiled ground pork before you mix it with beaten egg then after fry it together with egg plant.
Thanks for the tip, I’d never heard of that before. I’ll give it a try next time!
@@geordiejeff you're most welcome Sir 🙏🏻😊
