Puxa que legal!! Fiz isso no meu a uns 10 anos já, se tivesse dicas como essas minha saga seria menos árdua!! Principalmente alinhar os números de hodômetros... O velocimetro saltava bastante e consegui que estabilizasse, mas precisei desmontar umas 3 vezes do carro... Pra que serve esta placa de circuito atrás do mostrador? Tem a ver com o sensor magnético de voltas? Eu tenho intensão de um projeto para computador de bordo com arduino, sem invenções, usando as soluções adotadas pelo fabricante. No meu país essa geração VW nunca ofereceu cruize control, computador de bordo, nem motores 5 cilindros ou com injeção eletronica. Portanto é quase impossível conseguir hoje componentes dessas facilidades. Muito obrigado pelo vídeo!!

Is it posible, to change the clock by an rmp meter ?... or how to doit, on a FOX looks better the speedometer and rpm. now I have the corage to disasemble my coluster, get ligts replaced ana speedometer fix.... and I wish to put the RPM meter...of a Amazon i got for parts. help please

Glad I came across this video I have a echo cs-490 I was out in the mountains when the starter rope failed on me! Just got an echo cs-4910 today going to try and repair the 490 hope it goes well!!!

Find the mk2 vids incredibly useful. I mentioned in another comment i recently became the proud owner of an 87 mk2 jetta diesel. Wanted one for years. Had eyes on my uncles for years and he finally offered it to me for work trade on his home and land. Its in great shape and only needed the alternator replaced/remanned. Is it worth adding the turbo, if so i would enjoy that video Joe. Appreciate you and your passion my friend.

I have an 87 i work traded my uncle for. That panel could possibly be created through vacuum forming and designing a plug. Im having trouble finding a good many parts for this thing.. Love your mk2 videos btw. Aided me with alternator, glow plugs and diagnosing fuel injectors. This is my first diesel vehicle. Almost ready to hit the road!

You should make a video on how you would prime the fuel system after this :)

I accidentally released the bottom spring then learned how to put back the spring from another video. I took two hours finished the job and my chainsaw started again. Thanks!

Joe! Just replaced the starter rope on my Echo chainsaw. I tried it first by guess and by golly. Watched your video and in less than 15 minutes, had the saw running and hopefully that new rope lasts a lifetime. P.S., I had taken the recoil mechanism off before watching your vid and had to go on a screw roundup before finishing. Thank you for posting this. 3:02

hello i was wondering if you could help me a little. i have an 89 jetta as well with the 1.6 NA diesel engine and tonight while driving my glow plug light came on but was pretty faint and not blinking. i just got new glow plugs and fuel filter less then 1000 miles ago and had the water separator drained. i tried to drain the water separator and just got fuel. thank you any help help you can give is much appreciated. i dint think anything crazy is wrong but im just pretty particular as its my only vehicle and i want to keep it on the road as long as possible

Hey Joe, How do you recoil a starter spring? 😢. So I followed your instructions and wound it 5 times, but I found I didn’t have enough pull length. I figured it took more wind up turns than “4 or 5”, so I took the handle off, let the spring unwind to get back in the same condition as when I first came to your video, and started winding it up again. But it slipped around turn #3, and now I have a bird’s nest of a starter spring. Should I just go buy a new one?😅

Just wondering if you could give me the part number of the fixed idler pulley at the front of the mower is. Just replaced my new belt and it was chewed up 1st cut.....did not even finish the lawn.... This is the second time it happened.....I notice that you don't have fingers on the engine pulley to hold the belt on when shutting off the blade.... did you remove them or is it only on older models...tia

I can't because the video's too dark and you never show a comprehensive look at which lines should be where. it just skips over this important step(s). very frustrating!
