Long-time PC tech, content moderator, and offroad advocate. E-bikes and PCs have a lot in common, from components to maintenance. I have also spent years in the desert riding and off-road racing, from dirt bikes to quads. I am currently upgrading and riding a 72v, 12kw, Stealth Bomber clone and an ENGWE X20. Check out my channel for exploring, product reviews, solving problems, DIY videos, and more. If you have something cool, send it my way, and I'll review it too. TLDR: I think my content is a mix of Sur Ronster and Matt's Off Road Recovery, if you like those channels, you'll probably enjoy mine too.

Oh man I feel your pain on this one. That sucks.
Sweet, I found something constructive to do while I'm waiting for the sun to rise so I can fix some spokes IE this video.
See the video link on flatout
Long story short, I had Flatout in my rear tire. I swapped my rear Shinko to my front when I got another flat. but that tube was leaking, so I bought 2 cheap ones from Amazon (big mistake); one was pinched installing, the other lasted just long enough to ruin this ride. I got a new 3mm tire with better reviews,, and it seems to be pretty solid. But I guess I'll take it on more rides to make sure. No one sells Flatout around here, have to order it online last time. I'll probably get some more the next time I have any money to spend.
ua-cam.com/video/yyRa18ciCXc/v-deo.htmlsi=LLU6_rPcfy41EFT6z
From what I see these are shinko 241 best selling tires last year . The problem is slime is all mess .you need flatout. I got 1 flat and ever since I got the flat out never had a problem again it has been seasons years. And I keep telling you sale the qs 273 and get the qs 205 much faster than lighter then the one you have . Besides the point the Chinese frame you have it's ridiculously heavy it doesn't help. I bet other riders can hear you coming down the block with all that noise Honda suspension on a frame
Do you put the flatout in your tires when there are no leaks and let it stay in the tube until there is a puncture or do you put it in after you get a leak?
Just be thankful it wasnt the rear
Ummm im am dirty minded
What goes up must come down. Do you have variable Regen?
@@rufusirvin5279 just regen, not variable.
Wow, that thing is a climbing beast.
Where are you tapping in to get your temp readout on your handlebar display?
To be honest, I bought a 13$ meat thermomotor, and I duct taped the probe to the heatsinks on the controller. The battery lasts forever; I have left it on for several days by accident. Here's is a link: amzn.to/3zOqO16
@tacticooldennis oh i thought it was for the motor. If you had a sensor on the motor then you might not have burned it when you went up that mountain. Not sure if the sabvoton cuts power if it gets too hot
@@MrDeceptacon88 TBH i don't think the motor overheated and failed, I think it failed internally which lead to overheating it. like a magnet fell off. there is a temp sensor on the controller that monitors the motor and will shut off it if overheats. but that didn't kick in until after the motor was already failing
Hi. Could you share the controller settings pls
(recommended settings from Alibaba) Lack Voltage (V) 60 Current-Limiting Voltage (V) 65 Over Voltage(V) 95 DC Current (A) 120 Boost Current (A) 200 Rated Phase Current(A) 150 Max Phase Current (A) 250 Protective Phase Current (A) 550 Temp: Stop output Temp: 90c Recover Temp: 80c Current limit Temp: 70c
You are very lucky to have this free spirit girl with you . I had tears of joy watching her and listening .. beautiful uncorrupted soul omg i remember my son when he was young and i took him riding....he was always so excited.....kids are the medicine for old man like us❤😅
Buddy's face @ 10:30 😆
I don't get it. Was there an issue with it or were you just swapping it to swap it? Is it bottoming out when you're riding it or your little kids are riding it?
yeah, it totally bottoms out if I ride it just down the driveway. I know I'm a fat guy, little bike, but a little resistance is nice.
That was an insane amount of unnecessary risks within such a short time. Also, why would a chinese clone have regen brakes lol
The mystery of the other seat pad has been solved.
yeah room for 2, lines up with the shrouds better and also extra cousin in cause I land wrong.
I was thinking about your channel yesterday and that I haven't watched one of your videos in awhile.
Yeah I had a little hiatus while waiting for my hub motor, but im gonna try to put out vids every week again. big ride today.
what the hell happened to that rim 😂 I'd like to see the ride that caused that taco job.
That stock rim was like butter, this is the ride that killed it. ua-cam.com/video/EZ1fXmncrMU/v-deo.htmlsi=j1SNhCvB18gZVtqi
Thanks for this vid Dennis, I've been really contemplating swapping from a 2.5T 21" to a 5T 19" on my bomber, but I'm not sure now. I'm going to swap in a FarDriver controller and see what I can do with that. I recognize Sierra Madre 👍 I'm just a few miles east of there.
Yeah, its hard to say, I do like the smaller rear wheel with a 18" but I do hit more stuff underneath without that extra clearance. The 5T motor definitely had the climbing power, but lacked the top speeds The rim they sent was thin and weak. I now have a 3.5T with a motorcycle 18x2.20 rim. I'll give it a proper test tommarow.
Hey, just a heads up, there's a event tomorrow at Bonelli park. Pacific Electric Riderz put on a lot of local events worth checking out. facebook.com/events/873191018092810
Nobbies get choppy on the street. I like 70/100-19 Maxxis front nobbie
Whats the nominal voltage of your ebike? 72v?
My battery is rated at 72v but usually hits around 88v when charged.
Crazy at least everyday you have a good summer season not like here in New York City rain and cold
Its a mixed grab bag, some days were so hot My GoPro kept dying. We also rarely get real weather, so any lightning or actual rain is a treat. The problem right now is that we got a lot of rain last year and now all the mountains are burning.
I hate collecting s***
Need em GPS calibration 😏👽🚲🎬
No direct stem mount or riser bars?
Yeah I was shopping around for some time ago. Its hard to find green anodized ones. I really wanted the Renthal OD green ones, but 140$ is a lot of money for a slightly different bar position.
Did I miss something. Did you buy a better motor?
Originally I had a 2.5T then cooked it, got a 5T broke it. Now they sent me a 3.5T, so a better motor than the original, but not as much torque as the 5T. I still might break down my 2 hub motors and find out if I can swap bits around and make another one work. Maybe start a second bike :)
That's what I have. The 3.5T. It seems to be a happy medium between the two.
Awesome video deserves more views.
What plastics do you have?
@mrjc87 I got a plastics kit for a crf50 for 40 bucks. amzn.to/3ZwzKmp all the plastic bolt to the seat directly.
Nice
Qs273 ftw 🤟👽🚲🎬
We back stealth bombin!
@ 11:28 is the conveyor belt rock cory I used to fish before the po po and security guard use to patrol.
Dennis, your daughter will never forget times like these (7:48) with you! Family is a priority in my life as well. 🙂
Great choice, that's the rim size I'm running on my 96Volt, with a 110/100-18
Fast and quiet! I absolutely love it!
Looks good , am hoping for good top speed
Dem brakes bedda b BBS.....
soooooooooo were an idiot i love my ebike as much as the next but however much money u spent doing all that isnt worth the impound
To be honest, I've been riding for over 2 years now, ridden up to cops on multiple occasions, and haven't had any issues. Most of the time, if your just riding from point A to B, cops don't care. However, if your crashing into cars, running, and causing calls, then yes.
Nice video, Dennis. Will you be riding with the Pacific Electric Riderz anytime soon?
Yeah I'm hoping to get out on another big ride, I know there's one planned for Bonelli next month, I wanna make sure I got the bugs out of my bike first. I also wanna be a little more cautious cause being down for 3 months sucked.
Did you happen to take any videos of the motor that burnt out on you? Internals?
I haven't cracked it open yet since I was waiting to see if they wanted it back. but I do plan to soon.
I'm surprised your swingarm can even except a 21" setup? 🤔 My TOB swing arm won't except anything much bigger than a 18" setup But I'm definitely running a 21" setup in the front
Because Dr chopper build it , wait for it to catch a fire like a c4 explosives
I prefer a 21/18 setup. Not sure why Alibaba goes with 21/21 probably because this bike is more MTB than motorcycle. But I do miss my 21 rear a little since I do hit more rocks and stumps being closer to the ground. Maybe I need a slightly longer shock.
I've only seen one of his bikes do that, and that was likely staged. Any of our packs could fail, even nice enclosed ones on the MX5's are flaming out.
Did you know the City of Glendora is making that an official bike park next year? Pump track, trails, etc. We think it should be named in honor of Harry Leary.
yeah I remember them talking about it at last years Earth Day. but there was someone already complaining that it would be loud and dusty...
Awesome video
Try putting wider tape inside the rim
Nice 241's are really good and comfortable ride
I put a zip tie on each side of the swing arm and trim to where it's close to the rim . It helps me see exactly where it's out of line
yeah I was setting my spoke wrench on the sides and seeing the high points and adjusting. its pretty close now, I really should be doing this on a bench but I don't have anything that could support the weight. maybe put the swingarm in a vice.
Mfn mosquitoes are monstrous right now, I’m in Houston.
