    Biggest reason this won't happen is because there's basically nothing worthwhile in Northwestern Africa. It's an easy bridge to build if that part of the world had any economic relevance on the world stage. As it stands right now, for it to be worthwhile you'd need to build a railway from the bridge site, to the parts of Africa that matter, and such a railway going through an area like the Sahara and the Shahel would not be economical, nor would it be safe from bandits.

    • @AshayaDhungana10
      @AshayaDhungana10 24 дні тому

      while it is true that there's a lot of dry desert land in northwest africa, i think the primary reasons behind not building the bridge is mainly its feasibility, economic benefits and also immigration problems, which could be controlled (to some extent).

      @@AshayaDhungana10 Frankly I can't see how this might be profitable. Moroccans need a Visa to travel to Schengen Areas and I assume most of the people who actually manage to get a visa (It's much harder to acquire now) would opt for a different European country (i.e: France, Netherlands, Germany) and it's far easier (and probably cheaper) to fly there. And I can't imagine many Spaniards traveling to Morocco for tourism while their own country is one of the leading tourist destinations on the planet.

    • @AshayaDhungana10
      @AshayaDhungana10 24 дні тому

      @@berkovl7226 I partly agree with your point about tourism; it's a two-way process. Africa's wealth lies in resources like oil, copper, cotton, coffee, and sugar. The bridge might aid exports, but currently, transport isn't severely limited since larger boats likely handle it across the 8-mile stretch. There's definitely a need for a thorough study on the bridge's benefits.

  • @Viral_Picks_Store
    @Viral_Picks_Store 25 днів тому

    The constant ship traffic and seismic activity definitely make a bridge a tough feat. Building a tunnel seems more feasible, especially with renewed talks between Spain and Morocco. Here's hoping they can overcome any political hurdles for this potential mega-project! In the meantime, ferries are a great way to experience this historic strait.

      @AshayaDhungana10 24 дні тому

      I think by now the technology has progressed far enough to be able to build suspension/floating tunnels and what not that can endure some seismic activity. this would in itself remove the problems that could potentially arise with surface maritime traffic since it would be underwater. there's a similar type of tunnel they're trying to build. I think it's in Norway. or the best option could be to just outsource the project to china, there's nothing they can't get their heads around. 👌

    • @Viral_Picks_Store
      @Viral_Picks_Store 24 дні тому

      @@AshayaDhungana10 You're right about the advancements in tunnel technology; floating or suspension tunnels could indeed mitigate many of the challenges posed by seismic activity and maritime traffic. The Norwegian project you mentioned, likely the proposed floating submerged tunnel in the fjords, demonstrates the feasibility of such innovative solutions. As for outsourcing to China, they've certainly shown prowess in infrastructure projects. Their experience and expertise could be invaluable in realizing ambitious endeavors like bridging the Strait of Gibraltar. However, ensuring collaboration and adherence to international standards would be crucial in any partnership.

    • @AshayaDhungana10
      @AshayaDhungana10 24 дні тому

    • @Viral_Picks_Store
      @Viral_Picks_Store 24 дні тому

      @@AshayaDhungana10 Absolutely, collaboration is key for such a large-scale undertaking. Finding common ground and ensuring all parties involved are comfortable with the process is crucial for success. China's belt and road initiative demonstrates their experience in managing complex international infrastructure projects. Their involvement could be a major asset in bringing this potential Strait of Gibraltar connection to life. Perhaps a consortium approach, bringing together expertise from Spain, Morocco, China, and other interested parties, could be the most successful path forward. This would allow for a sharing of knowledge, resources, and perspectives throughout the entire project lifecycle.

      I prefer to hold onto the hope that it will be discovered, whether intentionally or inadvertently, sooner or later. Unfortunately, the actual truth may remain undisclosed, and accountability might never be established by that time.

    for those wondering why he cant be moved down, He is in the "dead-zone" altitude, where even a helicopter can't reach. people who reach this zone must survive with oxygen tanks, and the altitude pressure makes the human body veeery weak, you only have the energy to carry yourself. so an attempt to move him down would be a death sentence since you might exhaust your energy and just sit down and die.

      Dude, i was Hannnging for someone to give some explanation. My initial reaction, esp dudes just filming the dude- i mean for crying out loud ! Its a Human body..not some side show “oooh look, its a body of some - yeah i dont even wanna start on THAT.. also, why hasnt anyone least of all his so called bros n arms - left sommme sort of -i dont know marker , head stone .. hmmm i should reeeeally look into what this dudes cultural beliefs & customs … pluuus those of the locals. It really ticks me off hearing how some people get “freaked out” & feeling uncomfortable going into that area /cave.. but its “ok” to just call him green boots & not by his ACTUAL name. I mean,seriously think about it- if say i dont know , you get snowed in & have to wait lord knows how long ! Inside this “spooky” cave- wouldnt the last thing on your mind be …ummm yeah theres this serious life threatening blizzard approaching ,wouldve LOVEE to do the Logical,sensible & not to mention whatever the word lookin for!! But apparently i cant - cos im preeeetty sure the zombie apocalypse is gonna hit bout 2-3 hours AFTER that blizzard seals us inside ..
