Hello everyone and welcome to this video, where we'll be discussing the devastating earthquake that hit Nepal in 2015. On April 25th, 2015, Nepal was struck by a massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake that took the lives of over 9,000 people, injured over 22,000, and left hundreds of thousands of people homeless. This disaster affected not only Nepal, but also neighboring countries like India and Tibet. So let's take a look at what exactly happened, the locations that were impacted, and the aftermath of this tragedy.
The earthquake struck at 11:56 AM local time and lasted for about 50 seconds. It was centered near the city of Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, and the quake was felt as far away as New Delhi, India, and Lhasa, Tibet. The earthquake caused widespread damage across Nepal, with buildings collapsing, roads being blocked, and widespread power outages.
