G.Caramiello - Rimembranza di Napoli
This piece is composed by themes and variations from two Neapolitan folk songs: "Fenesta ca lucive" and "Santa Lucia". The first one is a romantic, melancholic theme - the title literally means "the window which used to shine" for it talks about the murder of a noblewoman; the other one is a very popular song which instead is more brilliant and describes the beauty of Naples' gulf.

Beautiful! What harp is that?
It's a Lyon and Healy CG 85. I'm not fond of black harps but they generally tend to have more sound than the others - nobody still doesn't know why!!
@@chiaraevangelistaharp What the heck! I always thought I was crazy for thinking I could hear the color of a harp. Especially the Lyon & Healy 23s and 85s. I worked at a harp retailer and every single black Lyon & Healy that came through was a good harp. Didn’t really matter the model. The mahogany 85s were hit and miss (sometimes a bit of a chalky sound if that makes sense… hard to find words to describe sound) and the blonde ones tended to be extra bright in the top register which could cause them to scream in a bad way if the wrong hands were playing them. It makes no sense
@isaacpark8885 unbelievable!!thank you for telling this, it's really interesting. When I had to choose my harp I could recognize the difference of sound with close eyes! You're right about the "chalky" sound (I called it myself “paper sound") but after four years of playing it disappeared fortunately. Blonde harps are effectively more unbalanced, nice to know that was not just my impression!
@@chiaraevangelistaharp I have a theory that L&H will mass produce columns, necks etc etc. and choose the nicest looking woods out of the pile for the lighter harps. The woods with blemishes can be colored/stained for dark harps. The whole harp helps the instrument resonate even though the soundboard is the most important part. Maybe ugly wood just sounds better? Total guess on this…
Could be!! I can tell you that it happens the same with Salvi harps. the technician who regulates my harp told me once that almost every time the black Diana was massively louder than the others!!that is really a mystery.
