Oh man, Brooks is really exciting as they’re really trying some new stuff. The Hoka Cielo x1 2.0 looks right up my alley. ASICS just has to not mess it up. Mizuno is a sleeper pick. Saucony im skeptical after really liking some of their models this year.

@ yeah they all look exciting tbh. We runners are blessed the competition between brands is fierce so they got to step up or be left behind. One thing that annoys me a bit is why does hoka not just name it cielo x2 instead of x1 2.0🤣

@@raddadbodtv these would only be for casual use for work and any day that isn’t leg day at the gym. I walk about 12 miles to week to work and back. I need a good walking and gym shoe preferably Nike . Any recommendations ? I thought the peg 41 might be great since it looks good , firm and can get a sell on it. Thoughts ?

@ so you can walk with them obviously but the forefoot feels pretty thin. You may want a little more cushion if you’re walking a lot. Just something to consider. I think 12 miles a week of walking though is probably fine.

Not really such thing as treadmill shoes. The only thing I’ll say is that depending on the treadmill you an maybe get away with less cushion than you’d normally like

I felt like these were very stable but they don’t have aggressive traction so maybe that was part of the cause with the rolling? The trabuco has a much more aggressive lug pattern

Yes all shoes do but these have been reported to last much longer

@ honestly it depends on how much and often you run. Most shoes only last 3-400 miles max and these even if you take them 700 miles will probably not last as long if you wear them daily

Yessss love it!

First run in them today, they felt good at faster paces which was really nice and were still comfortable during the warm up and cool down. Seem like they’re a great versatile option that can even be used on easy runs which is rare for the plated uptempo category. I feel like they might not be quite as comfortable for longer miles though so we’ll have to see!

I agree but the lack of a plate makes it more versatile still as they shouldn’t be as harsh on the feet. Though studies could prove that thought wrong in the future but I haven’t heard anything about stiffer responsive foams straining the lower limbs as much as a carbon plate
