Flew the EF 114" Slick because I had taken everything but it out of the van, and I was still too tired to load anything. Easier to just take it. I went to the field with only my 26SZ and hadn't flown the plane with that radio so had to start all over with the radio settings (thanks for the help, Chris!). A rushing field setup just before dark, and no time to add mixes, made the plane a little "...

shame - confusing enthusiasm with ability… won’t do that again!!!
@@andypc14 are you sure? 😁🤣🤣
@ I keep telling myself that but can’t help doing it - low recovery from a knife edge spin is where it’s at🫣
I don’t think it gets much better than that! Doing what we do best! No one called “Landing” oh well!
We need to do a smoke video at PVMAC.
Nice! Great flying Joe!
Good🎉🎉🎉
Looking good 😃. Currently i am practicing rolling harriers in the simulator, i manage to perform left rolling harriers somewhat decent, rolling to the right seems more difficult because of the opposite torque from the engine. What do you think about right rolling harriers?
Here's a video from 20 years ago: ua-cam.com/video/Gbh_ICtzT2w/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared&t=97 I used to roll left and right. But, it was always harder for me to pull the stick to the right, my hand just gets tight going that way. Pushing the stick left is more comfortable, and now that I'm old I just go left most of the time. I've noticed though, it's about what is comfortable and what comes natural. Like right foot forward or left foot forward on a skateboard. I see guys all the time at various skill levels prefer right, or prefer left.
@@joehuntrc5027 I see. The reason why i want to be able to do both is just that is looks so damn cool switching directions mid-maneuver. That's some old school plane there btw, looks a lot less agile compared to todays planes.
@@GenuineFlolie Yeah, tiny control surfaces and less powerful motors. :)
That Edge 540T is very nice!
That's my baby. haha
How I learn 3D... with my 3D Trainer!! lol ua-cam.com/video/1bFvMEuEwdI/v-deo.htmlsi=eHJuAbKgtoFlZ6Tl for days when I gotta fly near the house!
I have often wondered if flaperons would get the nose up when the elevator can't get the tail down (because of the ground lol)
36:00 who remembers the video of Kyle dragging the Funtana 90 tails on the ground?!!?

@@RussianThunderrr oh, I could torque roll it. 😁🤣

@@joehuntrc5027 -- Oh, WE're know that! Thanks for been so humble, and at the same time brutally frank! Jeez, those Bees still buzzing my ears, that Zero needs chill out, with some little throttle modulation going or something, just like when you Torque Rolling... smooth! Hey, lets see that H9 Extra doing some aggressive stall turns, with wheel pants this time around! And Torque it! And Torque it! And Torque it!
-- Phat little "bugger"(I almost called it a "F!kker", which is a "No-No" in aviation community, since that word reserved for a specific German aircraft brands, that flew not only during WWII, number 190 and 100 to be correct, and I'm thinking off), that kid got some skills, while your H9 got some long awaiting wheel pants, "shish". In a squeaky voice of the old man - Don't let Mike McConville catch you flying that Hangar 9 with a pants down ever again! It looks good. -- Now what did you do? Destroyed that young kid airplane for? Oh man the poor H9 cant catch a break 😂 - but it looks like she took it very well

Beautiful plane. EF is really kicking their schemes up a notch, as well as the flight characteristics.

I like your attitude you seem like you would be a cool dude to hang with....and u fly too...Most guys I meet are way older than me and Im 50!!!!! And no Im not gay so dont go there ya perverts.....lol
@@ThomasBrock74 you're supposed to finish that coment off by saying "not that there's anything wrong with that." haha Anyway I think I'm pretty cool to hang out with, and most of the guys at the field think I'm pretty cool to hang out with, but a few guys at the field are not convinced. hahaha
Improving is easier when you routinely fly with people that taunt you to not be such a front- wiper!! lol

It's so true though! I don't have anyone pushing me at all. I always say if Juan Sanchez Garcia (Skybound RC, here on youtube) flew with me at my field I'd get better much faster!

@@mithrandir1313 I understand!
I have to give you a shout out for inspiring me to learn rifle rolls. I did my first ones last weekend in real life. Ive sort of learned them on the sim (dont find it really works) but i got bullied into trying them in real life haha. Anyway was only doing them in a straight line and with a PA Addiction which isnt a fast plane. But still.. cheers for the inspiration
Congrats! Definitely! :)
👍🏿 thanks for the tips aways open for more
I have a few more. hehe :)
Do you miss the old school Giant scale company's that where around, like Aeroworks, Wild hare rc ........ect?
I do miss several of the old companies. Aeroworks for sure! Carden. Dalton. A big one for me is TruTurn! Klett hinges, et al. Although it must be said that we have lots of great planes (especially Extreme Flight and Skywing), lots of great motors (especially the GP-123), lots of great servos (way better than the past, I like the Hitec 961s, but also there are many others that are good, including from Futaba and Spektrum). And, so glad DUBRO is still around! :) I'm sure there are many more I'm forgetting... Fliton! for instance! And more!
Would you consider doing a vid on products you like? It seems most of the good companies are gone
will do, Earle! :)
What plane is next to come?
I'm waiting for two to be shipped out. 😁
Could you do a vid showing the inside setup and where the batterys are to get a good GC for 3d flying?
I can! :)
I love your smooth flying style. I definitely got some good ideas and inspiration from this video. XA be damned.

Wow, what a great flight! I am a RC heli guy but I am full of admiration for you plane pilots that you keep up with all these crazy orientation changes and super fast rolling! @@jermainbrown201 I had a 28x10 xoar wood prop in the van. So I put that on.
That wasn't a "crash"....that was just an unplanned inverted landing 🧐
🤣
It’s because you don’t have a spinner and the plane just didn’t care to live anymore without a spinner!
I told you to put the spinner on😂@joehuntrc5027
I'm going to finally put the spinner and wheel pants on that thing and fly it tomorrow! Haha

some great skills! thanks Joe!
thanks foryour support! :)
-- Ah, nice to see zen like smooth 3D flying, but this plane is in desperate needs for wheel pants, Joe! Plain white or black would do! Thanks again. Nice flying!
'tis!!! I repaired the old pants it came with... I just have to bolt them on! Same with the spinner! Also, I just dragged this out real quick when my control horn broke on my Edge. I really just want to fly my Edge! haha :) I will fix the Edge control horn soon! But, if I keep flying this H9 I will bolt on the repaired wheel pants. :)
New 170 is brutal power
music and camera make me stoping watching... sorry cant appreciate your flight in this video. bye.
I will look into these problems. ;)
Those rolling vertical turns. Partial rolling loops are looking clean!
I’m building one of these with the MKS servos. Now I’m rethinking single servo operation.
@@thatairplaneguy yes! two servos means two control horns which means the load is spread! As for me I will put in a Dubro control horn bolt/clevis. That will take care of that. And since I replaced the hard point when I first assembled the plane it will be very solid. 😎
😮
Wow, you were lucky to get that one back! Merry Christmas (again!)

Hoot hoot,, looks dry out there
Yeah, it was so wet winter of 2022/2023 that summer of 2023 was so green all the way through fall. But following a dry winter of 2023/2024 the summer of 2024 was dried out brown. The weather is great, though! :)

I like that 180 degree turn you do. Vertical then roll to an outside loop, left rudder then smack full right rudder over the top. Pretty sweet!
Hey, that is exactly what I'm doing! haha
@@joehuntrc5027 Heh, I can't wait for a break in the rain to give it a try myself!
Bowman rings i have heard are harder then the stock rings so it seems they would run hotter.
@@markbowman2344 I've heard softer, but either way, these dle 170s have not let me down, they have been running strong for the last few months, since I installed them.
I'm running one from 15 years ago that was new i just got back into the hobby its been running great in 122 pilot yak 55 stock rings
The way I do it to get the best results is throw the rudder left before putting any inputs and then throwing it over with down elevator and right aileron. Then I throw it back with switching the rudder all the way with the elevator. To get the hang of it I feel like it's easier coming out of an inverted harrier to do it.
