Well, Momo, it’s hard for me to say this because it was a source of disappointment and frustration for you but I found your summation of the negative experience with CGC very insightful. I’ve never submitted a comic for grading but have considered it several times and likely to do going forward. I actually learned quite a bit. As for the direction of your channel going forward, you can go in a few different directions. Channels like “Its Your Boi Zack” and “Thinking Critical” offer more contemporary perspectives focusing more on cultural underpinnings. It’s not for everyday consumption for me but there is appeal. They really hit their stride during the unfortunate and shocking passing of Ed Piskor. There was much to be said and they were unafraid to broach the subject in a way that helped make some sense of something senseless. It’s a heavy approach that I can only consume in brief amounts. “Como Comics” and “Swagglehaus” more to my liking as the joy of comics inherent to their approach. A central focus more innocent. Other channels like “Automatic Comics“ excellent but more focused on value; money but with too big of an emphasis, imho. Lastly, the topic of unboxings….I have never been a fan. IMHO, it introduces a level of elitism and class conflict. The sad but harsh truth is that a vast majority of collectors will never be able to obtain the incredible collection you have. In a sense, it reminds people of what they lack and may never have. I could be going off the deep end here but I think there’s a hint of truth in it. You’ve worked hard to accumulate your awesome collection but the fact that you were glued to this glorious hobby for 10 years before your first purchase becomes lost in the moment. Your discipline out of sight and mind. It’s unfair but I believe true. Ultimately, I and other followers want you to be you. Cerebral and Helpful. I’m not alone in greatly appreciating your wisdom and the experience that’s come with it. Aside from unboxings(in general) I’ve found your approach to be spot on. Keep up the great work MoMo!

Make selling and trade videos

I started watching you cause you looked like a SERIOUS COLLECTOR and you put your money where your knowledge is. Besides expensive books maybe books that are worth having regardless of value, nuff said!!

Do you feel that buying graded comics outright is a bigger financial risk versus submitting to CGC trying to "win" a high grade? I'm a bit worried that most are already of this view and inevitably there will be a vast majority of slab sellers with very little buyers.

I personally enjoy your unboxing videos. I get that it might coincide with my personal interests as collecting goes, but I do enjoy them.

Friendly advice: Short can be Unboxing or Weekly online deal found, that be great!!! REG Vid can be more content based - like how you store comics, but the journey from RAW to SLABS. Is right now a good time to collect RAW or SLABS. Setting proper expectation for comic collecting as an investment or have you sold your book as an investment of such... Lot of collector I seen that "bought" comic as an investor eventually burnout, never really sells or eventually becomes weekly UA-camr talking online lol. I for myself, slowly backway from the weekly buyer to QUALITY over QTY.

I think less content on unboxing is fine. We see enough of that from other YTubers. Unboxings where it takes close to a minute to open a box, I normally stop watching no matter the grail. I liked your video on Heroes Con, so more Con vids you attend in the future would be super. Your top 5 (or #) are always great. The top sources for buying comics and the recommended books for a specific title or character (and why) were terrific examples of vids I'd liked to see more of. However, when you do show a comic and why, it's already in your PC, or at least, removed from the packaging before going on camera. I think viewers prefer quality video content over quantity. I can't speak for anyone else, but what I want to see are showcase videos, where you show your collection's of certain comics. Like one day, Superman related comics, another day Spiderman related comics and so on. But I am a very unusual youtuber-I don't care about views-I make my videos based on what I am in the mood to do, no matter who watches it

Your videos inspire me to start doing a few vids showcasing the US and UK Transformers comics. I think I might do more of those

Keep up the good work. Video ideas: 1- why you collect what you collect. 2- The different eras of comics. 3- Comic collecting trends. 4-More of what comic stories or characters you like. 🌞🌞🌞

I think you are doing amazing. IMO keep doing wat ure doing, don’t get stuck on analytics so much.

I started a spreadsheet and tried sticking to a plan when I started. Best decision I made. Unfortunately, my list keeps changing so sticking to a list if definitely easier said than done!

I agree - skip the unboxings. I think videos that focus on lessons learned or your thought process would be great. Examples might be: How you store your comics (valuable and non-valuable, CGC vs raw), How you organize the collection, how you decide on buying/selling, what new comics do you look at and how do you decide which ones to go after. Just some ideas.

I really enjoy your channel! I like the more substantive content, but I also recognize it takes more time to prepare. I loved your CGC series of videos, your top 5 videos, and stuff along those lines. Maybe content like where you see your collecting journey taking you, goals, objectives, maybe a tour of your comic collection area (I always like seeing how others store their comics), etc. I'd also like to see any X-Men stuff, if you have any of that. Other than that, I don't really have much advice to offer. I'm not sure how to recommend establishing a footprint in the viewer community and to grow an audience. I'd say try to find an angle that works to your strengths and passions, because that's contagious. As for shorts, I'm not a huge fan of those, because, well, they're too short.

I pefer longform,informative videos.I dont watch Shorts at all.I believe people are generally interested in vids about affordable items to find,and what to avoid in collecting.But that´s just my opinion. Or do videos that you would wanna watch.

I personally like long content, top 5’s are always cool (top 5 budget keys, top 5 books under £50 for DC, marvel, indie) I’m not a fan of shorts but that me. Maybe an artist feature section ? Few ideas for you mate. Keep going 🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧

I like the unboxings but I get it. I think your “top 5” format. Also, maybe get into your top 5 spec books on your radar (not new books, already existing books). Or what your top 5 reasons to pick up a book. Besides their books you want. But collecting covers, first appearance, second appearances, origin stories, first series, story, art. Whatever. Stuff like that. Maybe?

I prefer the unboxings the most. Especially if its books Im particularly interested in seeing (Golden Age, Disney, DC)

Yeah I made a lot of mistakes too I've sold to comic book stores took losses, traded books for like nothing books. But also I took those as learning experiences, and that makes me better every day. Will I make more mistakes, probably. But at the end of the day, we're all human. Thank you for the video.

I prefer more content than less. But if you just want to offer one video per week, that’s fine. However, if you upload random, infrequent content like unboxings, I would enjoy or that too.

Unboxings become like every other channel “boring” yes it’s nice to see books on what other collect but show and telling what a person bought is redundant. Talking with other people on the channel and their thoughts with the hobby to just things in general like that is what I enjoy. But show and tell with click bait posts is just a way to lure a person to say hey look what I got… it’s why cooking channels or travel channels get more views then comic ones as it’s a very niche hobby.

I like the unboxing 📦 videos. I want an unboxing video everytime you get a new acquisition or at least - weekly.

Enjoyed all your content so far (i know thats no help) but i like stuff about key issues, artists, best value going forward longer term, crossovers etc and and unboxing 😂

Hey Morgan, thanks for the Con coverage. It was done well, even for one day. June is also my birth month, and I seriously thought about going. I've never been to Heroes, and like you, heard it's heaven for serious comic book collectors. Unfortunately, life got in the way, and I decided to cancel. Hopefully, next year! I thought it was funning 😅 you showed Ali's Elite11 live sale, which i hopped on. I claimed a Superman book from Buzz Bros, but noticed it was no longer there. I assumed your pic must have occurred right after they pulled it from the wall 😂. It's great to hear your rave reviews & enjoyment there. I didn’t realize you're well known with Elite11 & other big sellers until I saw the post on IG of you all at some restaurant! I'm jelly 😉. Finally, your disappointment with convention center employees is real. I've also experienced some of that at large centers. It does leave a bad taste 😮. Keep up liked content, and thanks again. Bedrock City -- that dealer was at a convention I went to in September of last year. Great books but his prices were outlandish. He had an X-men #1 5.0 on the wall at $25,000, best he would do was $21,000. The GPA at the time was around $14,000 as I recall. This has been my typical experience at large conventions. It's good to hear you thought the prices were more reasonable. But you didn't seem to buy much?

Excellent Coverage. You're one of the few youtubers that can cover a con correctly in my books. I want to see the actual merchandise. I said it previously and I'll say it again, another reason I watch your channel is because I like the books you actually select. Especially the Disney and DC Books. As much as you hope to get a book you want I highly agree and recommend to wait if it doesn't feel right. I too hunt for books you don't see in the wild that often but when you score one, it makes the quest far more satisfying. Last big con I went to was frustrating. Fan Expo in Philly and I too was searching for Golden Age Disney Books. Found a few cool raw books where the covers caught my attention, but actual keys? Holy hell those guys were literally charging the same prices for their mid grade raw copies as Heritage did for actual high graded sales! I wanted to ask them if they're smoking dope or do they really expect buyers not to do their homework before making a substantial purchase like that?

Dude reeces is overpriced you’ll make an offer and will be lucky if you can get a book at a reasonably higher fmv price. High grade comics is even worse

Maybe wherever you are, & i get your talking slab but In the Uk a box is about $3 and basic postage on that box will be about another $4. Thats basic P&P. Throw in ebay fees and its very hard to even give away for cost a nothing special book. Postage has risen twice in the last few months, ive basically droped my entire pull list from the store I've used for years. They've gone from capping your monthly order at £5 postage ($6.31) to £2.50 ($3.16) a book. Ridiculous.

First time watching your channel, good info, but with that background, "oooOooOoooOOOOOOOOOOOOOooOoooOOOO" I could only make 12-1/2 minutes. (It clashes with my already ringing ears 😂😂😢)

I know of a Whatnot seller that sends out givvys in flimsy mailers to people who Don't buy as a punishment... I'd think that says enough lol
