Drone Recovery Mission: Finding the Drone One Week After Losing It In Victorian High Country
When's the next episode blokes, I've been hanging out!
Hey again D.H. , your heading in the right area , Snowy bluff , Moroka River and beyond are getting into the juicy part of the Vic high Plains, ive walked all this area over the past 50 years of my life , I call it "gods country " . Wrapped you've found it , cheers mate 👍.
Gidday D.H. , the cattle yard you showed I watched being used in 1981 by the Lovic family , beautiful piece of history. Down Kelly's lane is Shaw's Creek, great for trout n awesome camping, if your heading back to Kelly's hut there's a right hand turnoff 150-200m past the creek that will take you to McMicheals hut , approx 5km on right of track on Shaw's Creek upstream .. Bloody awesome area mate thanks for taking us along cheers Markus.
Walhalla if its wet i stay away. Tracks are steep and long, greasy
I know that track all to well i went down it for a look with my wife and pup in a old NH pajero and past the point of no turning back so committed like you fellas. THEN my dog fell in the front cab and i went to push her back and i knocked it out of low range 1st into neutral and started free spooling down the bloody thing and did a massive power slide trying to brake and get her back into 1st... mate my leg was shaking for 10 mins at the bottom was hectic stuff..... gotta love the old hmmm wonder where that goes :) was great to relive it seeing you fellas. Curious what PSI you use on the mission back up ? we didnt have to winch it :P you have your high heels on ? stirring cheers for the share
How far in from Moroka Rd is that camp site DH ?
High Luke, It's approximately 10km.
Hardly worth the effort of installing and putting in wiring. Would not bother with these little candles.
In the first 2 minutes....best you turn back.....
Many years ago a group of friends and I walked into Toombon from Aberfeldy and camped beside the mine shaft shown at 3.50. I didn’t know it at the time, but my Grandfather later told me that my Great Grandfather was the mine manager (as he was at Long Tunnel Extended mine in Walhalla and the Wonthaggi coal mine) but they couldn’t stop the water from filling it up so, according to my grandfather, it was abandoned despite there being gold still in it. We also found many abandoned mine shafts throughout the area and took great care scrub bashing through there. 23:41 While at Toombon the owners of the former pub were restoring that building and nearby we found a treated pine log cabin that had been transferred from Darnum (near Warragul) having previously been a display for Weir’s Treated Timber when it was operating. This video has brought back many memories.
Hey mate I just found this video. Nice work I'll definitely be watching more and have subscribed. Nice work.
Took this one on back in September last year and it was chewed away much more than this. Had to get the winch out. Great track though!
Hope you are well. I am sincerely sorry to disturb you. Your videos are fine but your videos are not getting views. Moreover, the number of subscribers to your UA-cam channel is also very low. I checked out your UA-cam channel. I found some problems. 1. SEO Score is very low 2. No Title - Description - Tag SEO friendly 3. No Share Social Media Platform and many problems on your UA-cam Channel. If you do proper SEO of your videos and SEO of your channel, your videos will go viral very quickly. You can generate a good view. Hope you understand my point. I am always ready to solve your problem.
Where do you find these vehicles? 😂 I cant
I was just recently looking at one of these pajeros
They're an awesome little beast and have a great community support group on Facebook. Can't go wrong😀

Boy George needs a spin-off series! Another great episode 👏🏻
🤣 We will see more BG in the future.
Another fantastic episode. The commentary is on point and Paj is an absolute weapon! Love it 👌
Thanks TD! It was a sick day of driving and the Paj exceeded any expectache we had🤣
Liked it before I even watched it, I love the banter. I need you guys to my voiceovers 😂 Keep up the good work, very entertaining 👍🏻
Thanks for the words! Will definately be getting back to the banter and exploring again soon👍
Loved hearing Iris Dement, Our Town in the background. Loved you guy's from the start but now you've topped it. Cheers guys 👍 🐕 🤠
Cool old rig , only found your channel tonight love the banter. How did Off road get his nick name?
Fmd that was one sketchy track. What do you think that poly pipe was doing there? Is it possible that mine has been worked recently? Great vid guys. Subbed
Haha, It was a bit sketchy at times. It didn't look like there'd been any work done recently but who knows🤷. Was definately a nice little find though and worth checking out👍
Great work DH! Love your videos mate. These tracks aren't seasonal are they? And would you say it's possible to take them on solo at this time of year? Gu crd unlocked with maxtrax and winch. Cheers!
Hi, thanks for watching! Nah, these aren't seasonal tracks and you would be able to do them no worries. You don't need lockers and the steepest part is near the beginning. Let us know how ya go!
@4x4AdventureShow Cheers fellas! Just got home from the trip. The track wasn't bad at all until we hit the muddy/rutty section 3/4 the way along Mt Margaret track, which DH soldiered through in this video. Boy did it look much easier in the gopro footage😅 We got the winch going and got up it after a little battle, but she sure gets sloppy this time of year. Cheers for the info. Had a blast camping at the open green campsite at the bottom section of chromite mine track too. Zd30 all the way, eh DH? Cheers boys! TK
Mate this video was bliss. Thank you for making these - it's definitely appreciated.
Thanks Brian, We've been a bit absent recently but there's more to come soon. Thanks for comment👍
Hi guys, love your videos, keep them coming. Cheers
Do tell me you had the front and rear lockers on on the way down ?? If not why…..
WOW, a blast from the past right here. Is that an NB Paj. I remember working on them when I started my new job as a mechanic at a Mitsubishi dealership in North Sydney area. Classic Pajero...love em, and love yer channel guys...keep up the great work. 👍
Thanks for watching! It's an NA model 1984. How's the knowledge retention? might have to hit you up for some tips haha.
Great stuff. I always get a laugh watching you guys.
Thanks 👍
The little Paj ate it up 👍No issues with the bush noise. Just turn the radio up, problem fixed 😊
Haha the recent speaker install came in handy! Thanks for watching!
Just found you guys. I love the content 😂
Thanks for the comment! Just had a look at your channel, sick videos! Subscribed👍
Good to see you made it up that hill, track looked pretty tough going and good call to aim for a tree. A couple of questions if I may: Auto or manual ? Gear selection on downward travel? Tyre pressures? Also - Suggest that when you are winching, let the winch do the work. Don't drive and winch at the same time. ( as many people do ) 1200 - 1500rpm in neutral, cover the foot brake as a precaution, in a manual with left foot as your right is on the power pedal. Running medium rpm will add charge to the battery while its under load, handy for a long recovery. Remember winch 30sec, rest 30sec to avoid overheating the winch. If you need to lessen the winch load use a snatch block or winch ring, as a double line pull. That will make your winch happy and less strain on the recovery gear. Problem with winching and driving at the same time - if you have slack rope and slide back, the danger is to break the rope ( unlikely but a possibility but it can be joined ) , worse case, break the gears on the winch, then you are in deep trouble. Happy driving ! Cheers
Looks fantastic. #enjoydontdestroy
Sick review! These actually look awesome for a little 3 inch pod too. Maybe if you had 2 more you could put one either side of the center ones angling out a bit for more spread 🤷♂️
Thanks Jono, To save on cost, The Pajero positions itself next to a vehicle with extra lighting🤣
Great video, nice looking track and mint camp site!
Hopefully Off-Road recovers from his recent bout of hypochondriasis in time for the next video
Thanks DH, enjoyed your video. When you were started on the Chromite Track and said you remembered it as pretty easy, I thought hmm, I remember one long and steep descent that was a bit concerning for a minute or two! Would be fun to drive back up it as well!
Yes mate worth a drive up it that track, Always fun to relive an adventure in both directions. Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it.
Hi I was wondering what drone your using? cheers keep up the good work.....
Hi, Thanks for the comment! we're using a DJI Mavic Air 2S and recommend highly.
the hooks would be for running services along the wall out of the way of the rail carts and rail bogger, services wouldve been air and water..
Nice little vid guys. Any chance for a hint on which track that mine is? Cheers boys. 🍻
Thanks for the comment. The mine is on Johnson Hill Tk. Not far past the miners garden👍
@@4x4AdventureShow awesome. Thanks for the info. Heading up there this weekend. 👍🏻
@@endless4x4 No worries, have a good one👍
Love it my brother had 1 years ago went everywhere had a body lift n 33s
Hi guys new sub. Looks like a great track for motorbikes bit hairy in the car. Great footage, hope the go pro didn't scratch up too badly. Stay safe
Thanks for the sub! Would love to give it a go on a motorbike. The amount of abuse our Go Pros have been through, they are the Hero's of the show (pun intended)
Very tidy Slog! Love it 😊
First gen shorty pajeros are one of the best looking old forbies ever. Nice!
Love it! Man, it's tidy too, well done. That thing will go everywhere.
Thanks! Can't wait to get her off road and see what she can do.😀
How much roofline cost?
Double what they usually charge if you mention our channel!
Great video. What a team
You chose the fun way back to Walhalla Rd. If you went left at the drop sunny at Junction Hut that would have taken you back to Walhalla Rd along a much better track called Merringtons Track. But very entertaining!!
Thanks for the comment, that'll be handy to know for next time if we're in a hurry! Haha
It would have been a good video , but to much shit talk ,sorry
2.05. that's a bloody big column still.. (chimney) 😉 Thank you 👍😁
Very entertaining guys!
Where is this? Thought it was sullivans for a second but im not too sure
Hi Luca, It was Deep Creek No2 Tk. We spent a bit of time on Sullivans (ep this Friday) but luckily it was dry👍
@@4x4AdventureShow That explains it. Never done the deep creeks. Heard nothin but stories of broken cars and winching haha. Good on ya for giving it a go in the wet
