Termites in Back to Eden Garden
Paul once said termites wont live in mulch because it was too wet. Well here they are and it is wet. I’m not too worried about them they are always outside living somewhere anyways.

My ground is more clay like with hardly any rocks it was old farmland 100 years ago. So by adding gravel i add oxygen and minerals to the soil i also believe it absorbs heat better from the sun. The river rock does this and also acts as an anchor once the roots wrap around it fully. The roots can also grow around the rock and into the gravel to easily absorb minerals right from the source. Sometimes its best to use what you have and i had lots of scrap 2x4 from my addition i am building. So drew up some quick plans and got to work. The lights are GE kitchen and Bath t12 bulbs. I read a large study that said these are as good if not better than expensive grow light bulbs and they have served me well many times. The plants love them as you can see.

DIY In-Ground Trampoline

DIY in ground trampoline. Its not hard to do this if your back can hold up while digging the hole. Its been done for almost a year still holding up fine. There is no need to build a wall around it unless maybe you live in a sandy area i guess. (Trampoline is an Upper Bounce brand i cant say that i would recommend it just because it hardly bounces and sags a lot compared to one my sister bought ...

    Awesome video! I have a question: did you use screws to secure your trampoline or just set the bottom parts under the frame? We are doing the same in our backyard. Thanks!

    • @edensgardenshed9622
      @edensgardenshed9622 2 роки тому

      This was six years ago i think it came with bolts and after removing the riser bars it still lined up for the frame to be bolted together like instructions said. Only thing i would change about this setup is venting it. Like maybe raising it a few inches above grass or removing the pads so it doesn’t create a suction. Just be careful kids can’t go underneath while jumping with it so low.

    If you put compost over paper and before chips you can garden right away.

    • @edensgardenshed9622
      @edensgardenshed9622 3 роки тому

      I personally would put the compost over the grass under the paper if using compost. Roots grow into the ground. So if you put compost over paper they would travel sideways on top of the paper until paper breaks down and not down to the moisture. You may have to water more. I plant right away breaking through paper and roots into dirt.

      mattzx77 depends on your skill level. This took no time at all except for trying to film it. I used to build houses so this was nothing. This is much more sturdy than pvc and i don’t have to worry about it melting and starting a fire. I made it so i can remove the top board and put it away nicely. Also costs less than $5 to make. But there are many ways to get the job done and i had these boards laying around so this was mine.
