    In my opinion, you're not cooking them QUITE long enough, which is why you struggled a bit squeezing it out. Other than that, yeah, perfection! It's truly so easy.

    If you were to cook it like so, could you keep it in the husk and grill it later on a barbecue?

    • @GritsandGouda
      @GritsandGouda 9 місяців тому

      That is a great question but unfortunately I have found that the longer you leave it in the husk after heating it up the harder it is to squeeze the corn out. I have not tried barbecuing it afterwards, so maybe that would heat it back up enough to easily squeeze out of the husk? Let me know if you try it!

    Hi, this was interesting, I appreciated the tip on how to cook corn in the microwave. One question, because you weren’t explicit, I am totally blind and which end of the corn did you cut? Was it the stem side so then you could push it out That way or was it where the silt comes out on the short side? Did you cut to push the corn out? Thank you for your presentation. 2:44

    • @GritsandGouda
      @GritsandGouda 9 місяців тому

      Yes, you cut off the end of the corn that is the thickest part and the husk is attached to it then you push it out the same cut end.

    The trick way to do it is cook it right in the husk! You can do that either in the microwave or right on the barbecue! 3 minutes per side in the microwave, cook till done on the barbecue. It's usually when the outside of the house starts to turn brown it's done. Keep it off. Extremely high heat.

    • @235buz
      @235buz 10 місяців тому

      3 minutes per side? Good luck.

    • @fppro1679
      @fppro1679 10 місяців тому

      @@235buz I'm telling you cook it on the grill. Roll it around until it's kind of brown on the husk and you can check it by taking it off and just pulling it back a little bit. I cook corn in the microwave in the husk for 3 minutes aside. It comes out completely done. I cut the silk off the end so I don't have to contend with it but that's all I do and it comes out great!

    The corn should just plop out of the husk effortlessly. If you have to wrestle it to remove it, it's under cooked, add more cooking time.
