YUMMY cold cooked corn... :/
In my opinion, you're not cooking them QUITE long enough, which is why you struggled a bit squeezing it out. Other than that, yeah, perfection! It's truly so easy.
Thanks for sharing your delicious recipe with us. I love the way you fix it so easily. It looks so good. Blessings today! Love ❤
Hi Kathleen from Ohio. Thanks for sharing your "easy" recipe for fixing fried squash. You are a wonderful cook. Have a blessed day! ❤
Gonna try, however my garden okra is frozen in those chunks, I wonder how they would cook frozen?
Making these for Thanksgiving.. my boys like candied potatoes instead of sweet potatoes casserole. We're having both!
Yay! We made them too!
Looks great! I like the cornmeal so much better than the batter they use in restaurants.
Me too! It’s the way I grew up eating okra with cornmeal!
Hello from Ohio. I'm a new follower. I love nice and easy. Thank you dear. Blessings today. 😊😊😊❤️
Hello from Ohio! So glad you are here.
I was just eating a mint cookie last night and come to your channel from MeMe channel from where you all gathered together I love her channel I have trouble hearing you on your channel your mic is not loud enough sorry but I have to use headphones to hear your channel I have been checking your channel out and loving your videos but I just can’t hear you could u please check your mic
Thank you! Yes, my early videos we were still working on the tech side of things! I now have a better mic! Hope you’ll keep watching! Love Meme, too!
Thank you and I have changed mics and hopefully all my new videos are louder for you. I hope you’ll keep watching!
I’m one who hates to waste defrosting a pack of bacon for just this reason Thank you for a great tip I was thinking u could roll them up and put them on a pan freeze them and throw them in a bag and they don’t stick together 👍🏻
Thank you! I love sharing tips back and forth with others!
If you were to cook it like so, could you keep it in the husk and grill it later on a barbecue?
That is a great question but unfortunately I have found that the longer you leave it in the husk after heating it up the harder it is to squeeze the corn out. I have not tried barbecuing it afterwards, so maybe that would heat it back up enough to easily squeeze out of the husk? Let me know if you try it!
Hi, this was interesting, I appreciated the tip on how to cook corn in the microwave. One question, because you weren’t explicit, I am totally blind and which end of the corn did you cut? Was it the stem side so then you could push it out That way or was it where the silt comes out on the short side? Did you cut to push the corn out? Thank you for your presentation. 2:44
Yes, you cut off the end of the corn that is the thickest part and the husk is attached to it then you push it out the same cut end.
@@GritsandGouda thank you for that information! Have a good day
Awesome looks delicious!!
Thank you! I appreciate it!
I did this with Biscoff cookie butter…yum!!
What a delicious idea!
Looks good!
Thank you Joel! We still have okra in our garden!
Our okra out did itself this year. I'm going to try this soon.
Mine is still producing just a few a day!@@lindajones3056
The trick way to do it is cook it right in the husk! You can do that either in the microwave or right on the barbecue! 3 minutes per side in the microwave, cook till done on the barbecue. It's usually when the outside of the house starts to turn brown it's done. Keep it off. Extremely high heat.
3 minutes per side? Good luck.
@@235buz I'm telling you cook it on the grill. Roll it around until it's kind of brown on the husk and you can check it by taking it off and just pulling it back a little bit. I cook corn in the microwave in the husk for 3 minutes aside. It comes out completely done. I cut the silk off the end so I don't have to contend with it but that's all I do and it comes out great!
Enjoyed this video decided to subscribe
Thank you!! Glad you are here!
The corn should just plop out of the husk effortlessly. If you have to wrestle it to remove it, it's under cooked, add more cooking time.
Thank you for the tip!
Looks good!
Thank you Joel! We made some again this week!
Love fresh fried squash 😊
Me too! It's such a comfort food for me.
Sorry I like my corn Cooked 8 mine cook 2 together 12 mins
That works too!
Wish i could have heard the first part.
Works like a charm. Your time may vary. Another great feature is the minimal amount of trash you have to deal with as opposed to shucking first.
Absolutely! Good point!
I’m trying these. If you just want a small batch, I guess it would be ok to just cut the ingredients in half, right?
Absolutely! Just nestle them together in the center of the skillet or pan. Brushing with melted butter really puts them over the top!
@@GritsandGouda I have a really small cast iron skillet I use for cornbread. I think it would work great for a small batch of these biscuits. Thanks for the tutorial.
Thank you. But I wonder if this works as well with corn that was frozen in the husk. And without blanching will the taste be the same.
I have never frozen corn still in the house before, so I have not tried that.
@@GritsandGouda OK Thank You.
Absolutely!
This works great😊
Great! Once you’ve tried it, it’s the only where you cook corn. I love having no silk to pick out.
@@GritsandGouda only way will ever do corn on the cob
Looks good. I’m going to try this today. Thanks for the video!
Thank you! let me know how it turned out for you! I made them again tonight for dinner!
Turned out perfect! From now on this is the only way I’ll cook corn on the cob.
Mmm my favorite way to eat squash .
I can eat it every day and twice on Sunday! 😆
Looks good!
Thank you Joel! I made some again for the Fourth of July!
Looks good!
Thank you! I appreciate you so much!
I love fresh corn on the cob! So delicious and easy!
Yes! And I find myself cooking more of it when I don’t have to struggle removing the silk!
i add my paprika through a small strainer to control the sprinkle
Great idea!
Duke's is what makes them the best!😋😉😊
I'm a Duke's Mayo fan, for sure!
Looks good!
Thank you Joel!
Looks good!
Thank you! It's so decadent!
I love no churn ice cream for a summer treat!😋😊
And it seems to taste a little bit sweeter when it's also this easy!
It looks delicious and so easy. I will have to try making some!

Kat I have tryed making a banana nut bread cake and put in some dates and coconut in it and it turned out good . I enjoy watching your cooking videos . Moe Joe
Thank you! I love dates! That sounds like a delicious addition 😋
Microwave the cream for 60-90 seconds, or until it hits 95-100 degrees. This loosens the fat molecules, resulting in better hydration.
The truffles look delicious😊😊
Thank you!
I like the way you measure as to not go over with your ingredients. The biscuits in the end look great.
Thank you so much! I could eat them every day!
Love these Truffles...Always a favorite of mine because the reward is so great for such little effort. 😊
Well said!
Very nice! Thank you
Glad you like it!
Two ingredients!?! Sign me up!
Ok. Can’t wait to try these!!! Looks simple enough and they are beautiful! You are the best my friend!!!
Thank you so much!
I'm curious why you say heavy cream and heavy whipping cream are different. Two names for the same product.
The difference is the percentage of fat. Heavy whipping cream has a higher fat percentage than regular whipping cream.
@@GritsandGouda what are the percentages?
Add a tablespoon of baking soda to build flavor and better browning. Your procedure is excellent and teaches clearly!
Yours turned out nice. I made this recipe a few years ago and they turned out greasy on the bottom.I love making biscuits, and will try this again.
