250 that’s way too many miles driving on Saturdays you should aim for£2 a mile ..I know it’s hard to do that since Uber dropped the prices but not impossible on weekends but I guess in your case your are renting a car so it don’t matter so much but running your electric car would cost more than hybrid car unless you charge car at home it would out cheaper … but now Uber making it impossible day by day they keep dropping the prices weekend they a bit more but during the week it way too low 9 years ago I used more than now not only that the cost of running your car is so high council fees gone up taxi insurance gone by20% specially Uber don’t allow Somme taxi insurance not sure why and they will only give you options with those who charge premium!! You will squeezed from every angle you think you are making money but by the end of the year once your pay taxes not worth it .. Uber now shares your earning with Hmrc so for any new this Uber make sure you record of expenses and keep receipts for up to 5 years good luck

Hello mate, Im thinking of doing this Uber thing as a side job. As a rough guess, if I bought a older Tesla 3 for about 14k and put a 4k deposit down, the payments will be £165 per month for the car. How much a month do you think the insurance would be per month? Also if I worked 7pm to 10pm Monday to Thursday, 7pm to 2am Friday, 5pm to 4 am Saturday, if you were to have a guess, what do you think the earning would be. Also that would probs he a good video for you to make as a guess on earnings. Thanks mate .

11:50 hours are driving time and not waiting time. Also now the rate is 1£ a mile with uber.i agree with other comments as Uber says pays minimum wage after taking insurance, fuel, wear tear and car lease.So if you drive 50 miles out of your town you probably have to come back empty. I'm a taxi driver and my company did a deal with uber. So we pay 20 percent to the company where we own our own vehicle. Fuel and insurance for a hybrid are probably £200 a week. But you can easily earn 1200 a week doing five 12 hr shifts. But there are always costs. Tyres...wear n tear etc. But it's total concentration required. Uber will take another 25 percent from you. So you'd get £5 for a £10 job. So we won't work for uber. Stuff em. The way this guy could make more money would be to let someone use his vehicle when he's sleeping. But that's not always allowed. Thing is, Uber doesn't care about you. In London there are 100k Uber drivers. But this guy has a very expensive vehicle. Full electric no way.
