@jphalfshady I love to hear when someone has an instrument that makes them want to play! Awesome!! I'm guessing you're playing metal with a guitar like this. Me personally if money is no issue then I'm going with an engl or diezel amp. Below that I'm going with a kemper, below that probably a line 6 HX, below that I'm probably looking at a plugin like what's made by neural dsp. And below that I'd be looking at the free digital amp plugins that get included in a daw. You could follow the amp options into something like a mesa boogie 1x12, and that would be pretty awesome and cheap.

This would have been the kemper, maybe running through one of the Lasse Lammert profiles.

@mandarronious I have about 50 guitars, overall this one is in a 3-way tie for first. Ties go to an original Jackson with serial number 1000, and a bc rich gunslinger from 2010, which I never thought about it until right now, was hand made by Grover jackson. The mock lacks some low end, but surprisingly, that becomes a feature because that makes it fit in every mix with less work.

@@jessebillson wow thats high praise. It's such a sick guitar. My only concern is the evertune bridge because I switch tunings a lot. I know they have a Floydrose model but I've never been a fan of that bridge.

If you switch tunings a lot, you'll want to figure something out or go a different route. I keep this one in standard, but with an option to drop D. If i couple thar with the transpose function on the kemper, im good for a fairly wide range of tuning, but if youre looking for other tuning options, id probably just look at something with a hipshot bridge. Btw, All the strings besides the lowest are just inside the bend threshold, so that I can dig into playing rhythms without any pitch deviation, but I can also bend notes. I can not play this guitar for a month, and know with confidence that when I go to record with it, that I can grab it and go, with no hesitation. One other thing, the guitar is fairly heavy. The evertune is a large piece of machinery.

@chrisstanley4152 I had one, but in a different finish. They play and sound really nice. These days my main recording guitars are the blue mockingbird you'll see on my channel, and a shredzilla prophecy. The warlocks sounded a tad better to me, but I can't justify having more than one warlock, and my oldest one just has more sentiment to me. Anyway, if I can help with any questions you might have, let me know.

Oh this was a while ago, so I don't remember much about it now. I was using the lasse lammert profiles a lot during this time, so maybe you could try those. I was recording direct in, no cab. I think this was tuned to drop C#, but it should be easy enough to decipher that.

Check the cavities for shielding? That's something I haven't looked at.

I have it and 0 noise. Check the grounding wire that goes to the back (metal part that holds the springs) and I believe another one should be connected to the body with a screw when you raise the pickguard. Most of these come from Mexico factory and they are very sloppy when it comes to finishing the guitars.

Between 7 and 8 lbs I would guess. I don't have it anymore, so I can't be sure.

I think I remember these at 900 before, so 800 seems reasonable. I think it's a competitive offering in that price point, so if you like the upper fret access, well though out ergonomics and cool goth look, then sure. It wouldn't be my first choice, as I don't like some features, but I won't talk you out of it either.

I imagine it is, but I'll take a look tomorrow to make sure.

@@fingolfen01 It appears to be a through hole pcb, and the board is even stamped with "2011 SGD". My guess has always been that they changed out the values of a couple resistors and maybe the tone pot. But I don't have an original to compare against.

Thank you. I tend to like modern features and new frets. I've worn out plenty of frets, making the guitars not play quite as well as they once did. so I feel inclined to pick the newer ones. There are some minimal differences on some body shapes that in my opinion you really have to look hard to see, but people get attached to things. Go with what you feel is right. I currently have an nj and 3 or 4 usa models as well as i think 4 of the new korean models. Surprisingly enough the Zoltan model shredzilla became my go-to, and I'm also currently using the 8 string prophecy a LOT.
