Winter in Berlin is SO COLD!
Winter in Berlin is brutal, but not without its perks!
Another Berlin winter is here. It is COLD. Like, bone-chilling, wind-whipping, "why-do-I-live-here?" kind of cold. The grey skies seem to stretch on forever, and some days it feels like the sun forgot Berlin exists.
Walking through these streets feels like a survival challenge - layers on layers, hands freezing despite gloves, breath turning into tiny clouds the moment you step outside.
But here's the thing: despite the depressing winter vibes, Berlin always has a way of lifting your spirits. The Christmas markets are my saving grace.
Picture this: warm mulled wine (Glühwein, because we're in Germany 🇩🇪), the smell of roasted almonds, twinkling lights everywhere, and the buzz of excited locals and tourists. Suddenly, the cold doesn't seem so bad.
Catching up with friends in cozy cafes, planning which market to hit next, sharing stories and laughs - this is what makes these dark winter days bearable. Sure, Berlin winters are tough, but there's something magical about how the city transforms during this season.

Long live the kingdom of Serbia.

    "Packing cubes" (?) I am a tour guide of Poland & I have found that the largest IKEA ZIP-LOCK baga are lighter cheaper (and thus disposable). They also come in various colours & sizes. My heaviest item of packed clothing are a spare pair of slip-on (beach) shoes by 'Hot Tuna' - modified with 'FitPace' inner soles. I am on my feet all day and want to change shoes when back in my abode. I carry a nylon sandwich bag of 'leaf' clothing soap for washing utility and washing line.

    I feel like Serbians don't believe in prejudice, since from a very young age we find friends in very unlikely places with a variety of backgrounds. We judge people by their actions and we feel that "hate" is a very personal emotion - "hating a race" or "hating a gender" just doesn't make any sense with that definition. Even local gangsters and bums are very polite (unless provoked), there are definitely bad people tho.

    • @aarongonetravelling
      @aarongonetravelling 8 днів тому

    Repentance after same sex marriage means ending the legal union. Your first step is to end what God does not bless, and to pursue obedience

  • @PaulRomi-f8t
    @PaulRomi-f8t 12 днів тому

    If a gay couple becomes born-again, they need to forsake their former lifestyle and end their same-sex marriage. Obtaining a legal divorce would not be sinful but God-honoring to right a wrong and help untangle them from their unholy contract. They are simply reversing what was never a God-ordained union from the start. The union of two men and two women is not gay marriage - it’s no marriage. Marriage, which is defined by God in this world according to his word, is not a man in union with a man. That’s our imagination.

    When a slave sets foot in Serbia, he becomes free. Either someone brought him to Serbia, or he fled to Serbia himself. Article 118, Constitution of Serbia, February 15, 1835 Serbia was the first European country that openly introduced the negation of slavery on its territory, even if the "slaves" came from another country? Serbia was the first European country in 1835 to say that as soon as a slave sets foot in Serbia, they become free and that no master-slave relationship will be respected or tolerated in Serbia. While at that time there were slaves in every European country, Serbia gave them the opportunity to be free, that's all I'll say about racism in Serbia.

    4 Euros per burek? You were either ripped off, either because you were foreigner, or you unknowingly went into some "fancy downtown bakery" which sells basic stuff at exorbitant prices... Or, you thought you should order the WHOLE burek that comes out of oven... Normally, we take 1/8 or 1/4 of the whole burek and that's breakfast for 1 grown adult. Which should be 1-2 Euros in Belgrade.

    Welcome to Serbia and thank you very much for the nice presentation of my country. Hospitality is a tradition in Serbia. A good host must always welcome guests well. The guest must not be dissatisfied. Yes, people in Serbia are genuinely hospitable. They are not just formally smiling, but they honestly feel that way. Of course, there are bad people everywhere, including here. It is safe to say that there is no racism here. Again, anything is possible, so that such a person appears. The history of the people here is such that they were never conquerors and usurpers, but constantly defended themselves from invaders, and that's why they know how to appreciate other peoples regardless of their race. We do not attach importance to something like that. People here may be curious when they see someone from the other side of the world, but they don't feel repulsive or bigoted about it. Of course, this was said globally. It is not excluded that someone will deny me with their actions, but such occurrences are very rare here. Of course, you should always be careful. Zajecarsko...my choice too.👍

    • @aarongonetravelling
      @aarongonetravelling 19 днів тому

      Thanks for the comment. I do think that there's bad people everywhere but to be honest, now it's more about the probability of us meeting bad people right? And I think in this case, Serbia has a very low probability of meeting bad people maybe.

    Thank you Aaron for such kind words and your energy ! very nice ! i will recommand you a cruise on the Danube river , then the national park Tara ( beautiful mountain,landscapes). In august , you can go to a music festival whose name is Guca . You 'll find good music and good food. And il you have time you can go to Nis , in this town you can see history in live : the tower of crane and the story about it, a city which is the birthplace of constantine the great ... In Belgrade, you have to see tesla's museum . Have a good trip !

    Just a fun fact about wine. The first places to grow grapes and make wine away from the Mediteranean is Fruška Gora. Roman emperor Probus in 3rd century AD had his capital in Sirmium (Sremska Mitrovica) and he started growing grapes and making wine for the first time in this area.

      Fantastic. I really didn't know that Serbian wines were so good until I went there. Coming from a country which produces many wine varieties, I am stunned by the selection that you have in Serbia!

    take my like,you said Zaječarsko is your favourite Beer,most Foreigners dont even know its name,yet as it is my favourite Beer and is quite underrated and i think Jelen and Lav beers are overrated a bit,its name comes from "Zaječar" town where recipe originated from,very simple naming but despite its humble origins to this day best beer ever. also you pronounce Zaječarsko as "za-ye-cha-R-sko" with the hard r

    And ypu can also see authentic pre war Balkan slum where the urban poor used to live (mostly working class). Next time i recommend ypu visit Zvezdara (the area around Doktora Velizara Kosanovica St, enter from Mis Irbijeve, also the area around the Šumice park, enter from Sundečićeva, proceed towards Jasenička, and make a circle). These are true urban pockets that are stuck in time.
