    I leased a 2024 bZ4X AWD XLE model in the U.S. about 3 months ago. I had leased two RAV4s and a Highlander Hybrid before, so I’m a definite case of “This thing drives like what I’m used to.” The big revelation for me was the range. Way underpromised and over delivered. AWD XLE model is supposed to get 228 mi. of range on a charge. I’ve been avg. between 275-315 mi. on a full charge. Most of that is primarily local driving (between 30-50 mph). I get as high as 315 if it’s all local, and closer to the 275 if part is highway driving. My only outlier was 237 on a full charge that was 100% Interstate Highway driving between 70-75 mph. The other big plus for the bZ4X (at least currently) is that Toyota Corporate is still subsidizing the Hell out of their 3-year lease deal, to the tune of $16,500 (including State & Federal tax credits). Comes down to $35,500 if I pay the full lease payments plus buy out at the pre-determined residual value (pre-tax). That’s on an MSRP of $47,989. That’s a -26% discount off of MSRP, something I don’t think I’ve ever seen before. Just the lease deal alone (if I don’t buy it out) is pretty good. A good rule of thumb is to take all the lease payments and add in the down payment, then divide by 36 … then divide that “fully loaded monthly lease payment” by the MSRP, if it’s < 1.50% it’s a good deal, < 1.25% it’s a very good deal, and < 1.00% it’s a great deal. This one was about 0.90%!

      @@leeschultheis5407 Thank you very much for this comment. The more I review EVs this year and update my data, the more I realize how efficient the bZ4X is. It's the most efficient one this year and it's not making any news because it's an EV and apparently people only care about overall range and not so much efficiency. My data is in Kwh/100km since I'm in Canada but you're looking at 19kwh/100km compared to an average of 23kwh/100km for most EVs in my weekly drive. Great comment and thank you for watching our video.

    You say that this car has a towing capacity of 1500Lbs, but on pages 230 & 231 of the 2024 BZ4X owner's manual it clearly says, "Your vehicle is not designed for trailer towing." Is this a case of Toyota just being overly cautious, because I would like to be able to pull a small trailer with this car?

    • @Outsider.Reviews
      @Outsider.Reviews 2 дні тому

      @@wayneskelley6169 You are correct. Toyota decided to NOT rate this vehicle for towing. There are many speculations for that but the one I might find plausible is: Engineering and Design Choices: The bZ4X wasn't designed with towing in mind. Its platform, drivetrain, and cooling systems might not be optimized for the stresses of hauling. This could lead to potential damage or excessive wear and tear. I would advise against towing since insurance won't cover you in case of an incident and I apologize for misleading you

      @@tonyquiroz2811 that really depends on whether I'm charging it at home or DC fast charging. At home, about $6. On the road level 3, about $50 but it's less expensive to stop at 80% because rates go up when you charge over that. On a road trip, I personally would not charge over 80% and in that case it's more around $30. I had to charge above that because they want the car back above 80% when you bring back a press vehicle

    • @Outsider.Reviews
      @Outsider.Reviews 7 днів тому

      Absolutely. Charging speed ✅ Range improved ✅ Charging information on the driver instrument cluster ✅ I personally wouldn't have given a good review to last year's model because it charged way too slow. I also met an owner of a bZ4X who switched from a Tesla model Y and he says he gets 400km and up of range with his bZ4X. Long story short, I am also considering this as my next vehicle but the VW ID4 is also very good all around so those are my top 2 for the price and overall usability.

Here's a table comparing the price and electric range of the Dodge Hornet PHEV and its main AWD competitors: | Model | Starting MSRP (USD) | Electric Range (miles) | | Dodge Hornet R/T PHEV | $40,000 (est.) | 30+ (est.) | | Toyota RAV4 Prime | $42,340 | 42 | | Hyundai Tucson Plug-in Hybrid | $35,400 | 33 | | Kia Sportage Plug-in Hybrid | $38,490 | 34 | | Ford Escape Plug-in Hybrid | $38,500 | 37 | Important Notes: * Prices: These are manufacturer's suggested retail prices (MSRPs) and don't include destination charges, options, taxes, or fees. Actual prices may vary. Always check with your local dealer for the most up-to-date pricing. * Electric Range: These are EPA estimated ranges. Your actual range may vary depending on driving conditions, driving habits, and vehicle condition. It's important to consider your priorities when comparing these vehicles. The RAV4 Prime offers the most electric range, but it's also the most expensive. The Hyundai Tucson PHEV and Kia Sportage PHEV offer a good balance of price and range, while the Ford Escape PHEV has a slightly longer electric range than the Korean twins. The Hornet PHEV, while having the lowest range, is likely to be the most powerful and offer a sportier driving experience.

    How to activate advanced approach lighting with key fob???

    • @Outsider.Reviews
      @Outsider.Reviews 16 днів тому

      @@BObiazi The Cadillac XT4 doesn't have a feature specifically called "advance approach lighting." However, it does have a similar feature as part of the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system that illuminates the vehicle's exterior lights when you unlock it at night. Here's how it works: * Approach the vehicle with your RKE transmitter. The system detects the transmitter within a certain range. * Press the unlock button (K) on the RKE transmitter. * The vehicle's exterior lights will illuminate briefly, including the headlights, taillights, and interior lights, to help you see your surroundings and find your vehicle in the dark. Additional points to note: * This feature is automatic and activates only when it's dark outside. * The duration of the lighting may be adjustable through the vehicle's personalization settings. Refer to your owner's manual for specific instructions on how to customize this feature.

Ultimately, the best way to decide is to test drive both SUVs and see which one better suits your needs and preferences.

      @Outsider.Reviews 22 дні тому

      @@sansinutube I pride myself in representing you guys the buyers so I will answer this in full transparency. Reliability is one of the hardest things to predict, even reputable brands like Toyota produce models that are very unreliable in the first year sometimes two years after a big refresh. To answer your road tripper question, this vehicle is the most comfortable and spacious one I've tested, however, for reliability, it just got a complete overhaul and I would warn you that recalls and issues always happen to a brand new MY since many of its components are new. From that 15" infotainment system to the turbo 4 cylinder engine on a bigger frame and body... I would be cautious but again the comfort and ride of this SUV were extremely impressive.
