16:06 You know, I’d usually be a tad disappointed/annoyed at someone for using an AI voice, but the reasoning behind it, the voice actually being decent along with you just straight up saying that it’s an AI voice is simultaneously respectable and slightly comedic. I mean that last bit in a good way to be clear. Also, I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed the video, the theory/analysis was really interesting, very informative and *EXTREMELY* well made.

Dragon breaks were basically made up because Cyrodiil was originally going to be far different than the one we got in oblivion, in early game development the original concept for Cyrodiil was scrapped for a more generic fantastical environment inspired by the Roman Empire and feudal Europe. Basically it’s just so in game tombs and scripture can still technically be canon even if the materiel within has been entirely retconned

Wonderful and insightful lore video. I, too, have arrived at a position of really feeling drawn to The Elder Scrolls lore, while also feeling disappointed at some missed opportunities of half baked retcons or missed threads. Had the later writers not create so many mcguffins, ie. Dragon Breaks, cutting reality via the Razor, etc., Elder Scrolls history and lore would be unparalleled. All the writers needed to do was add on to the lore of Daggerfall, not try to have multiple alternative realities, issues always eventually come back to the inconsistent writing from Morrowind. Very interesting concepts in Morrowind, but caused more issues to the lore and history than fixing and resolving.

I found this game late. Start of last year and played it daily until the Nov 1st announcement. Sad that they could not give us a solo off line mode.
