Pretty Little Killers: The Truth Behind the Savage Murder of Skylar Neese [Full Audiobook]
In Pretty Little Killers, journalist Daleen Berry and investigator Geoffrey Fuller expand upon their New York Times bestselling ebook The Savage Murder of Skylar Neese to give you even more information behind one of the most horrific and shocking murders of our time. Including over 100 pages of new material, Pretty Little Killers shares the latest theories and answers the questions that have left many people baffled.
After killer Shelia Eddy pled guilty to first degree murder and was sentenced to life in prison and Rachel Shoaf was sentenced to thirty years for second-degree murder, family, friends, investigators, and other key sources reveal the facts you would have learned if the case had gone to trial.
Including specific details drawn from Rachel's confession, Pretty Little Killers looks at the crime through the eyes of the victim and killers, providing intimate testimony from the pages of Rachel's personal journal, Skylar's diary and school papers, and court records.
Berry and Fuller examine all this, including previously unreported details about Rachel and Shelia's rumored lesbian relationship and explain why more than one investigator believes Skylar's murder was a thrill kill.
Most important, Pretty Little Killers provides a satisfying answer to Skylar's final question: “Why?"

    This is well narrated but the speaker's American accent is atrocious, just appalling - which is a shame as we the listener have the ability to imagine what the accent might sound like. It spoils the listening experience which is a bummer - a similar cringeworthy listen to the Dr No audiobook with Carribean accents being butchered

    ? re: "For Your Eyes Only", how do we get to hear the full reading of the first story - about the military despatch rider and Gypsy spies and J.B's very clever investigation etc. ? Great story/adventure for Bond fans. I'm in my mid 70's now and not e-tech savvy so any advice I can get would need to be 1960's simple. Thanks in advance.

    At this points anyone could have hit John "IF" he was hit by a vehicle. Lots of people leaving that house from kids drinking "drunk" to adults drinking or drunk and a few that had a very long day of driving for hours before drinking. Snow was sticking to cars and windows. I wouldn't rule out the plow driver at this point either. BUT I still believe what happened , happened after Karen dropped John off and left for home.

    • @gargantuk
      @gargantuk 15 днів тому

      Yes, it's a shame - the first few films are reasonably faithful to the books but then started to rely more on explosive finales and visual set pieces. By the 70s the films just get more ridiculous and only share the titles of the books. I think it would be great if Moonraker was made again, faithful to the book as a low key cold war thriller as opposed to the ludicrous attempt at competing with Star Wars ersatz space 'epic'

    • @zachstolz6681
      @zachstolz6681 День тому

      I completely agree. 70 years on and the Moonraker novel still has yet to be adapted properly. The intriguing and chilling villain scheme, the dark atmosphere, the very realistic and grounded feel, the hot and sexy Gala Brand. Some scenes are very well written. This novel is magnificent for a 1955 release. Despite the immense advancement of time since then, the greatness of this novel has not faded a bit. This needs adapted properly. The existing film is a big joke

    • @gargantuk
      @gargantuk 15 годин тому

      @zachstolz6681 Yes - even the whole Drax cheating at cards chapter would make a great sequence. And yes Eleanor Bron as Gala Brand...not possible now but you get the idea. Great, I thought it was just me with these strange ideas.. .

    This book is about 8 hours too long. Plenty of irrelevant drivel and self-serving b.s. One victim. One murderer. And this book is about as long as Helter Skelter. He also leaves out the two hung juries in the penalty phase which took capital punishment "off the table". There is more b.s. about the author outside the courtroom than the murderer in the courtroom. When he got hungry. When he got tired. Where he parked. When he worked late. How he took notes. Blah blah blah. He's a legend in his own mind.

    Thank gawd for Audiobooks lol im an 80’s baby ( before internet/streaming on demand and smartphones) and loved reading books especially anything involving history or reality…however it would’ve taking me an entire summer to read this one seeing as my summer breaks were pretty much dedicated to Days of our Lives, Geraldo , and the Judy Bloom , Super Fudge book series.. I vividly recall those first weeks back to school after summer break sitting in my desk daydreaming and wishing I could watch my soap opera hoping that one day there’d be an invention of watches where you could watch tv anytime anywhere lol
