Since I stopped making the Budget with Me and Budget Review series in 2022, people have been confused about how I'm making money. This video explains what I did in 2023 (which is not being a professional DoorDash driver) and sets up the next video, coming soon, of my new career path in 2024. Thank you for the update, well done!
One thing you can't do is "stalk" a potential employer. Look, if they want you, they will get a hold of you. If they don't reach out to you, assume they are not interested. If you are contacting multiple people saying things like "Are you going to hire me?" that is a major turnoff. That's the way the system works today. If they want you, they will hire you - if they don't want you, they just don't respond. I mean, makes sense to me.
Are you just making up a hypothetical or did you not understand my video?
I wish you the best with your financial goals
Hey Mark, you should be proud of yourself. The resilience you’ve shown over the past few years is inspiring. I hope you keep the fraternity job and continue to make progress! Good luck.
Hey Mark, one of your old videos from like 10 years ago got recommended to me and was intrigued to give it a watch & I must say; your life stories and your journey in general, the way you outlook in certain challenges certainly astonishes me! You have a remarkable personality which resembles how stronger you've become each year, I'm sure someone would tell you this eventually but if not let me.. you matter my friend. Thank you for being you, so many people struggle with it and you never know how many have taken your videos into consideration and went onto doing greater things. You will shine eventually just. keep. going.!
Title should say what he was doing for work in 2023, not what I am doing
I am me.
There's is a subreddit called r/seasonalwork It has a ton of good tips to find seasonal jobs wth housing
Checkout healthcare dot gov (Obamacare) for health insurance. The premiums are income based and there are surprisingly cheap policies available. I’ve only heard this, I have insurance thru work. This would be a good topic for a video-show us what it looks like and what the selection and prices are.
Ask your counterparts what they do for work during the summer. Maybe they can hook you up.
Give us a video tour of your apartment.
Companies talk about diversity, equity, and social responsibility these days...and turn around and ignore applicants. They don't want people. They have no souls.
2023 wrong year!
I am an adult and I still begive in Santa. My older sisters said they saw him when they where kids
Apparently 1 child from birth to 18 yrs old cost upwards of $375k 😅😳… and that’s not including if they attend university… stay child free
Interesting video. Stay safe.
Hey Mark, send us a community post. Share a pic of where you’re at and are you having a livestream Sunday?
I enjoyed part one of Mark Goudy: The Movie
Title says 2023. Wrong year😊
You must not have listened to this video because he explains the title.
Watch it again.
Mark, are you going to be doing a livestream this Sunday? Next Sunday is going to be the last Sunday of the month, but it will be during two holidays. Just curious.
I don’t want kiiids
Sorry Mark.... You seem like a great guy.... Good luck in your job search.... 🤙
You sound so much happier this month. An apartment tour would be cool. Safe travels and catch you next time.
Are we going to get a livestream tomorrow? The end of November is going to fall on a Saturday next week and tomorrow will be the last Sunday. I am going to be out of state for Thanksgiving as well.
43 child free, and best decision I’ve made, no regrets.
Identity theft? A name that is being confused with or flagged by a background check.
Fraternity housing IS GREAT... ITS PERFECT.... INCLUDING FOOD ? that's AMAZING... BANK ALL YOUR MONEY... Stay there and BANK BANK BANK Please... i beg you...
You have a similar accent to jd vance
We’re both Appalachian.
There are some people from Appalachian who one cannot even understand. His accent, I can pretty much make out everything he says.
My man, I don't even know how you do it but I'm amazed on how you have survived. Thanks for keeping up with the videos. I hope that you find your way to your goals.
Kids are just dead weight for most people. Only if you have a shitload of money,it could make sense to have kids. Because then you could hire babysitters and pay for daycare and school and whatever.
You could have made a 5 minute video and you stretched it out too long.
Welp
Discover is really good. I had good credit, but I wanted to go the secure card way and it improved my credit score even more. Then I was able to get a Discover It card and the whole 1 year cash back match. It did wonders for paying any debt that I had when I could apply the cash back I had received.
I have a family member who does campus bus driving and like it a lot-and they have driven in multiple jobs and not loved any of those. He says the college kids are the easiest to manage by far. 22 isn’t a fortune but maybe enough to add up to be able to get a new car.
I just found out about this channel. Stay strong
😂😂😂😂how about getting rejected for your nationality?...happened to me hundred of times ...even tho i am resident in the country i am applying... Mostly western companies
Hey man, it s been 6 years now i hope you found something and your life is much better now. Im at the same situation right now and that amount of rejection i get daily makes me think about ending this circle. It s like a nightmare u see everyday cant see any sense doing it everyday ( applying...). Maybe as u say i need to look for another direction and that s what im focusing about rn. Thanks for sharing 👍👍
I first came across your content 7 years ago. I had mixed feelings, from relatability to scorn and even mockery. But you really are homeless, out of your car, living the American Nightmare. Between Bad Luck and Bad Choices what started you on this path of ShitLife? It's scary because there are more people like you.
Your not fat
Another possibility, now days companies have pretty significant background checks and they might find personal video channels like this one. Is it possible it rubbed them wrong that you have videos on these job topics? This is one of the reasons I don't do personal videos on Social media. My youtube channel is just an empty one with no videos in it and I don't even have any Facebook, twitter or others for them to find and pick over. I figure I could do that stuff when I'm retired and that stuff doesn't matter any more.
That wouldn’t make sense. They couldn’t have found this video before it was made.
Will catch the next one!
Hi Mark, here are a few topics I thought of but I was driving while you were live: 1) Talk with the chef and find out where the leftovers are kept. There surely should be some and maybe that can get you through the weekend and help stop some waste. Try to eliminate 100% of your food expense. 2) Big campuses have bus routes that take students to/from Walmart, etc., with routes running round trip throughout the day. Figure out how you can use that. 3) Campuses have e-bikes you can rent for cheap. Try that out for errands, etc. Those cars are too expensive to use regularly. 4) Just overall, talk with the peers you’ve met (and force yourself to attend the next thing you’re invited to) and ask them what types of benefits they know about so you can take advantage of this on-campus life. 5) Start to research the most reliable used cars in a price range you’ll realistically be paying for a car. Should it be a car you can sleep in if things go bad again? 6) Very cool you had a date! Keep the social life going. That’s good for your mental health. TTYL
Mark check if your oil cap is on tight, could be losing oil if it's loose. Car would overheat from losing oil, and you wouldn't be losing coolant. The last mechanic may have forgotten to tighten it when diagnosing if there's coolant in the engine
