Micro gliders has been my passion even since my early teenage years… have started with free flight mini models as in those days the smallest servo was around 18 grams… That was more than four decades ago! With the mass production of really small/lightweight gear my lifelong dream can slowly become reality... My A-Just Precision Bows using Titanium alloy cutting wire are designed to cut XPS,EPS and EPP foam boards. It’s possible to cut foam mattress depending on its density. Haven’t tried it myself though.

Hi Rick, Flying over coastal sites has certain advantages like dependable and constant sea wind…but water does not really like models! Actually in past years we had a beautiful Xantipa F3J ship take a dip as battery went dead…salvaged the model with little damage but all R/C gear was salt water drenched and not repairable. I like inland sites as in a good condition day slope lift can be combined with thermal activity and really fly way out…like a short cross country to the limits of vision. Tasos.

Hello Bart, The wing is entirely capable to withstand strong discus type launches and also for mini bungee use… the XPS I use is one of the best available regarding compression strength, combined with the CF spars and 25gr glass skin results are outstanding both in tension/compression and torsional rigidity without excess weight. A lot depends on the type/quality of epoxy system used so in my thirteen page manual I strictly mention the most suitable type but even with the most common types the wing is definitely capable to deliver top performance.
