Hi Sydney Anonymous. You seem to average 60 km/hr from Campbelltown to Goulburn and Goulburn to Junee. Is this the average speed of the freight trains in front of you on that track or are they slow because they are queuing up to go on the single track beyond Junee?

It's a really good video and I enjoyed it, It was just so sad to see so many old stations left to go to rack and ruin.

Cant remember if i already put a comment but sadly missed s sets, some preserved of course but many memories, took me on the first eastern suburb railway services when i was 5 years old in 1979, i wonder if the original windows were still around to refit a preserved set. If i could get souvenirs from this scrapyard, would be one of the electric fans for the lower deck ventillation, one flipover bench seat, one roof rotary vent, and one red white marker light. Jm

Fair bit of trouble with those lokies a bit of preventative maintenance required here go back to the steam days those engine’s far more stable and simple only had throttle, reverser,and break

Remind me to never travel this line,most boring lack of maintenance along the route it looks old and needs some TLC,it would have to be the worst line I have seen so far 😢

As an ex-resident of Canberra (30 years living there, from 1984 to 2014) I was interested to see that the industrial sidings along the LH side of the line at Fyshwick are no longer served by rail. The fuel-storage depots either don't receive fuel any more or are served by road tankers.
