    i dont think the wrist at 7:42 correct. As you rotate your wrist, your forearm has to be engaged and rotate as well isn't it.

    yes, sir. i've been playing for about a year and seeing some improvement but recently i've stumbled upon some inner elbow pain. i know that my swinging techniques are wrong, micro ones to be exact, causing the unnecessary pain; so i am taking a week off just to figure it out and practise the right way. yesterday, i found out that my not relaxing the grip after the swing is the cause of the pain. now it feels like a fresh start practising this short swing, soft hand - squeeze - soft hand again. but it feels so much better knowing i am going on the right track. love your demonstration. it's a sub!

    Thank you for sharing mate, It is important that the kids enjoy, Being a coach and parent at the same time is quite hard. My son (9 year old) is so competitive that he starts crying as soon as he looses few points. Kids talk, listen and try to imitate us as parent and as I was the best player that he knew, He was trying to be the best in his group and when he fails he starts crying. Slowly as he played more and more he understood that it was part of the game.

    • @badminton4kids

    Could the wrist bend at the end of the swing potentially cause a wrist injury? I started to gravitate to the other way with the racket facing out because I didn't want to bend my wrist so much and just rely on pronation at contact.

    • @badminton4kids
      @badminton4kids 9 днів тому

      That bending at the end is really about learning allow the racket to rotate at the top of the swing. As you get better you control this rotation in a way to prevent injury, mainly through the rotation of the forearm. For beginners, i tend to teach this flopping technique to get through this idea of squaring up the racket, and do exercise where we dont concentrate on power.

    • @EloGo-yk6qu
      @EloGo-yk6qu 9 днів тому

      @badminton4kids Ah gotcha so in an actual game we wouldn't flop the wrist but keep it a little straighter?
