Well, it's quite awful outside, as I write this we have 80kph winds forecast for the weekend and not a chance of getting out to fly. What to do then? BUILD!!! At a recent Gray Arrows meetup near Manchester I flew my ZOHD Dart 250G so that @GunjaFPV could try some plane chasing, @sachasb also joined in....... to the detriment of my plane. The end of the wing was torn off by his props and the underside chopped up - thanks @sachasb :) greyarro.ws/

At a recent Gray Arrows meetup near Manchester A friend asked if he could fly my Strix Nano Goblin wing. It's set up as a cruiser, I told him, the Li-Ion cells are 10A max draw, not got full throttle for very long... This is the flight :D

I grabbed the chance to fly this morning while the sun was out. What a morning view I was presented with when I arrived. The mist was closing in on me so I only managed to get one flight, landing only just in time. Plane is the ZOHD Dart XL - V2 Enhanced extreme powered by a Sunnysky 2216 1250Kv turning an 8x6 APC-E pusher prop. 3500mAh 4S battery from GMB. FPV - Caddx Vista with a Polar camera...

I love flying planes line of sight, it's a very different challenge to FPV and hard to fly well. I'm still rather rubbish at it but when the weekend weather gives me the perfect weather for it I roll out my biggest EDF jets to raise my heart rate. The wind was 15 to 20 mph and pretty much straight down the field. Smaller drones and planes don't enjoy such winds but these heavier EDF jets revel ...

Grabbed an hour after work an managed to video this rather gorgeous sequence where I use my DollyFly25 Sub250 quad to chase a Avro Vulcan wing. Catching the last of the evening sun makes it all look so beautiful.
