- After the success of the Fatie Viggen I was itching to make another, this time more scale-ish.
Like before the design came from the UA-cam channel "Built Fast" - the owner of which seems to be the most prolific designer of 3D printed EDF planes ever!
This one has been printed using colorFabb natural LW-PLA - the body with gyroid 4% infill and the wings with grid 8% infill.
The designs are not the super finished ones that cost so much which have interconnects, use carbon fiber rods for hinges. Rather these are flat faced slices that you manually align by eye.
I had high hopes for this new one, especially after seeing it flying on the channel.

Fantastic Caroline, you got it, i got the batwing and fail miserably. Printing another one but this time Inav assisted.
Great Video Caroline! Love watching your videos. I absolutely love the paint job ❤
Thank you so much! It's come out real nice!
Brilliant work Caroline. It must feel amazing to make and build then watch it fly. 😊❤
I do really enjoy the whole build process, currently working on a new 5" quad. Thanks for taking the time to watch ❤️
Caroline fantastic build and flying, you have a great helper for the toss. Zoom zoom zoom Jeff in LA USA
Thanks 👍 Colin, THE Yorkshire man, loves printing planes himself and so, he knows how to launch them!
Love this guys models. So reasonably priced. Im on my 4th 50mm delta fighter, cant wait to try some of his other stuff. Great flying keep up the good work
Couldn't agree more! I like that they are simple designs, print easy, easy to build and fly real well!
Really great job Caroline, decades and paint look great. You should make a catapult launch system from electrical pipe. Great flight thou. Oh nice to see stickers on your ammo boxes. You will have to wait till tomorrow for your Fix 😊 Work and all that.
I thought you would spot the DRCH sticker Chris :D The decals were all printed on sticky vinyl hand cut out and then sealed with a waterproof matt varnish. Came out okay ! :) Oh, I already have built my own catapult launcher... ua-cam.com/video/cNF_aIXGeE8/v-deo.html
@@Caroline_Tyler I remember Flight Test saying that dark colours can melt the printed plastic? Mind you with the weather at the moment 😂
Yes, you do have to be careful not to leave them out in strong sunshine. I take a white sheet to put over them.
great video 👏👏👏
Thank you :)
Awesome.
Thank you! Cheers! :)
