    Thank you for the extremely useful video! The funnel that used to be included in the Aeropress package can be used to make coffee in a cup or a server that is somewhat too small to fit the Aeropress. They still sell the funnels separately and buying one of these could be cheaper than buying a new server to replace one with a too narrow one.

    For the different servers and their capacities, do those reflect how much the server can hold when filled up to the brim? It's not clear to me for example how much 300mL in the Kinto server actually looks like. Can you expand on that?

    The 1 cup v60 technique that Hoffman released about 7 months ago is actually very similar to the April technique. It has the same ratio, grind size, and water temperature as the larger cup Hoffman technique, though. I think the lower temp and coarser grind is better for darker roasts.

    Have you ever experimented with bypasses, specifically bypass temperature? I started doing the japanese ice bypass for cold coffee (split a portion of the weight off as ice) and I started comparing it to the same bypass volume of cold, warm, and hot water vs the ice and the flavor difference was massive, brewed over ice noticeably more fruity (with the ethiopian I was using). I suspect that the dissolved solids in the brewed water keep brewing in hot water and you can stop the extraction quickly by brewing onto cooler water or ice.

    Did you do the James Hoffmann recipe with boiling water? (100 degree Celsius) James wasn‘t suggesting a temperature in his aeropress guide video. So how did you find out it works well with boiling water?

    • @Adwnpinoy310
      @Adwnpinoy310 Рік тому

      If you watch James video he said that for light roast, he suggests straight from boiling, medium roast between 90-95 degrees, and like 85 degrees for dark roast iirc.
