I painted a 90’s inspired mural on my apartment wall (renter friendly mural)
Thanks for watching me transform my boring wall into a 90’s, rainbow, Lisa Frank wonderland! This was a lot of fun and I can’t wait to decorate my space with more nostalgic things. Let me know if you have any ideas for me! I’d love to hear them.

Jillian Eve has a good video about this, as well.
This video is so well made!
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
The problem is not everything needs to be accessible by everyone, if it costs more to make, charge more for it, don’t just get it made by slave labour to make it accessible for people who aren’t rich
Crochet is a luxury item. It is not something that everyone should have access to.
Crochet is simple enough for anyone to learn, luxury is having the the money to buy the peice without spending 100+ hours crocheting
Very cute! Could you possibly do a video with teaching people how to use sterling silver clay? I am super interested!
This is so cool at first i thought it was like an arm bec the hoops looked like bangles lol
that impression staying for so long could mean ur dehydrated 😭
I’m definitely not. 🙂 I held the ring tightly against my skin for like 30 seconds, it just looks quick because I had to edit this video down to 1 minute. It would leave an impression in anyone’s skin.
Excellent work! I'm so tired of people and businesses trying to justify the price of unethical items. Your dress turned out beautifully, and now I want to make one 😍
Trypophobia going crazy rn
I warned ya 😌
New follower, love your commitment to the yellow, also you have a great speaking voice 🥰
Thank you kindly! I feel like yellow took me over and I’m simply obeying. 😂 It’s so happy and fun, I can’t get enough. Thanks for watching and following along!! 💛💛💛💛
Great job!!!!
Thank you!! 🩷💛🩷🩷
Re: cat whiskers. I also have a collection of cat whiskers. I'm not sure I ever would have thought about collecting them if it weren't for a shop keeper in India who was describing the process of painting the delicate, intricate scenes we were admiring: "They paint with a pussycat whisker..." Yes, apparently a cat whisker makes a good paint brush for fine, detailed work. Although I do paint, I have no intention of getting into the "pussycat whisker" level of detail, so I don't know why I still collect the whiskers, but there you have it.
Good job! No one can say you're no committed! Just one thing... it's not sufficient to simply convert Chinese Yuan to US dollars and then decide that either is or isn't an adequate salary. You have to consider the cost of living. Obviously $550/month wouldn't go very far in the US, but I'm sure it goes much farther in China. I have no idea whether that's a medium income, poverty level, or what. It's just another important factor to research and consider.
I did more research than I could fit into this video. I recommended doing your own research because it is hard to go over every aspect of this in a video that’s already 50+ minutes long. I pinned a comment from someone who lives in China and agreed that this was a major issue in her country. There are also a lot of comments from other people who either do currently live or have lived in China, who give more insight on this. I also interviewed someone who lives in Guangzhau for an upcoming video, and she has confirmed what these workers make and has told me it’s definitely not a livable wage. Putting these videos together is a lot of work and it’s easy to leave out things that you know from your research. Thanks for watching!
@@lizmakeswhatever”do your own research” then what’s the point of this video? If people need more context to understand your point, include it. Cite all the sources you referenced in the process.
You are so adorable!! I am also not a swifter to I almost didn’t click this video but girl your title got me because as a Crocheter it kind of sucks when people undertake their items so it looks like actual artist are charging too much when it takes us time and hand pain to create each piece lol. Anyhow I am staying for your personality. Love to watch original people :)
That AI hat looked ridiculous! (Although I do like the pompoms.) But I'm so impressed! Just the fact that it's no sweat for you to finish some random pattern just to see what it looks like, and then do another one to make a fair comparison-- that's some skillz. (If you don't want to keep the AI hat, stuff it to make a pillow creature, then give it to charity. Some child will love it.)
It turned out so cute🥰
Thank you!! It’s intense but I think with some shelves and decor it’ll be really fun! 😅
Eres fantástica. No entiendo nada de inglés pero uso el traductor. Pienso que un hilo matizado te hubiera quedado igual que el original, pero tranquila, es perfecto así como lo has tejido. Un saludo desde Benidorm, España.
Thank you for existing, I love your vids, crafts, jewelry, cats, the way you always think things will take a certain amount of time, but they always take longer...and the thin hair with better curl pattern when it is slightly damaged-you are so relatable 😂❤️🔥I already saw the wall vid, so I know the hair looks so fricking good on you. Love the Brad references😂 edited to say to order a box of gloves from Amazon, they are cheap and you get sooo many.
You are the best, that’s such a thoughtful comment and it means a lot to me that you’ve been watching my weirdo videos. 😂🥲🩷 I actually did buy a box of gloves on Amazon for a resin project right after this and I couldn’t believe how cheap they were! Sally’s is robbing people. 🤣 Thank YOU for existing also! Appreciate you greatly! 💛
The colors aren’t for me but this is a fun look
If minimum wage was paid based on Australian wages, the dress would have been $300 at least.
Just a trick for keeping the base an actual circle: do the increases at random points instead of the same place each time. Thats whats causing the hexagon to appear!
I know :) I was just following ChataGPT’s instructions
I love that you put sweatbands on! 😂
I have a friend who charges $40 an hour for the items that she makes. I charge $25 an hour. I would charge $750 plus materials. My friend would charge way more than that. There's definitely a market for it even without Taylor Swift's endorsement.
Looks so fun, Liz!
Thanks Jess! 🩷
Awwww so cute would love to see her reaction
I LOVE THIS
Hehehe thanks friend!!! 🩷🍭🦄🌈👽
I also find it interesting that people excuse things that are made aided by machines as being cheap because not every single part of it was made manually. I forget this too, so I'm not blaming people for ignorance or forgetfulness! Making clothing requires human making. People operate sewing machines. A human has to set up the knitting machine. Workers load dye into vats. It's not completely automated even if every stitch isn't done manually.
I’ve gotten this comment a lot and I am not excusing it. It’s something I’ve thought a lot about and hope to highlight in future videos. Talking about one particular medium that you are most familiar with isn’t necessarily saying “screw these other things”, not that you were saying that because your comment was respectful but a lot of them have not been. I wish seamstresses and knitters would talk about it from their perspective. I just crochet. But I do want to learn skills in other mediums to have a better appreciation for those processes as well.
You did such a great job! 🎉
Well I'll be darned! That looks really cool! And what a fun project! Hopefully you feel inspired in your new studio space!
Thank you! It was super fun to do! Excited to keep decorating this sliver of the living room. 😅🩷🦄
Love this, it looks sooo cool ❤
Thank you!! It was so much fun to do! 🩷
Girllllll this hyped me up so much!! Lisa Frank comeback queen. For real this came out soooooo good!
Hehehe I am ready for it! I was searching eBay for old Britney Spears posters last night. 🤣🩷
Ahhh I was so doubtful until you put the black paint on, then… BAM ! It’s 1996 and I’m shopping for trapper keepers all over again
Hahaha dude I was too, I was like wtffff have I done to this wall?? 😂 But it’s actually makes the living room so fun!
At first I wasn’t sure about it all coming together, but once you added the little black spots in between it really tied it all in. KEEP POSTING I LOVE YOU
I wasn’t either!! 😅😅 I still look at it and wonder if I like it but I really think with some shelves and decor and maybe a neon sign it could be so cute! 😝 The black spots really brought it together hahaha. Thank you so much for watchingggg!!! 🩷🩷🩷🩷
I recently found your channel and love your videos! I’ve been wanting to learn to crochet for a long time and watching you inspired me to finally do it. I’m excited to see what crafting you get up to next!
You’re the best, thank you for watching me do the crafts!! 😂🥰 You mustttt learn to crochet! It’s such a fun way to be creative. Best of luck on your journey! 💛🩷
Great video! Thank you for posting :)
Thank you for watching! 🥰
SO CUTE 🐆
Thanks fren 🥰🩷
I'm glad I'm not the only one who wakes up with my bonnet. Hello, silky hair. I love the lep of yours, though; mine's hot pink.
I simply can’t get enough leopard print! 🥲🥰 But also love hot pink, I want another one now! This bonnet has made such a huge difference in my hair, and I love that it can also serve as a sleep mask. 😝 I pull it down over my eyes every morning when the sun comes out.
@@lizmakeswhatever I love it too. I have very fine, straight hair, and a lot of it. I noticed that my hair was breaking by my forehead. I thought they were just baby hairs...but since I've been using my bonnet and also satin pillow case, all those "baby" hairs...are down to my chin now!! Yes, you MUST get the hot pink one!!
Something I do is weave strands in as I go when dress is sewn together it’s done.
That’s smart! I should do that but I like to torture myself by leaving hours of tedious work for the end. 😂😂
You did a beautiful job. I couldn’t find the coral color.
It did take me three weeks to make the Myra dress I made pinks blues tho. A variation of it I made short sleeves too.
I need this project!!!! Tutorial please
Another fun video. I wonder how would the yellow change if you wash with a purple shampoo?
I was just wondering this a couple days ago! I might try some diluted purple dye when I get bored of the yellow. I wonder if it would turn it blonde or a gross green ashy brown? 🤔
I NEED TO DO THIS FOR ONE OF MY FRIENDS! (Ah nevermind, I'll do it for all of them.)
Love your videos, and you look gorgeous, great job! Yellow is my favorite color, too, it's so under rated. You rock it.
Yellow is the best!! It’s definitely an underrated hair color. The 90’s gave it a bad rap. 🤣 Thank you so much for watching! 💛💛💛
This is soooo cute. I'm tempted do make one for my cats
Great Job!🎉
You slayed this whole video
Happy Birthday! 🎉 Love the pillow!
That looks amazing! I'm curious, as a non-crocheter. Does the fluff come out the yarn? I'm not sure how to word the question but looks sometimes when you squeeze a pillow with fluff, it leaves.. "strands" of them just sticking out of whatever material was used (material as in cloth, yarn, etc)
Hey the crochet holes are too small for the stuffing to come out hope this helps 😊
@@starlight_dragon3131 Got it! Thank you for responding 😁❤️
