I wish Takamine still imported their top of the line instruments to the usa. I have a Takamine TNV340 that I will never part with, Ive played it on hundreds of gigs. These new imports are ok, they just don't have the flash of the upper end older imports. My TNV340 Nashville series has a beautiful Bear Claw spruce top with amazing figuring, Ebony fretboard and a beautiful abalone soundhole surround, and logo. You can still get the sound of the higher end instruments with the Cool Tube preamps blended with the Takamine Triax 2 soundhole humbucker and to date there is NOTHING that sounds better plugged in.

Does it have a mic or its only piezo? I play percussive guitar and need to hear the percussion, not only the tone from the strings. Thank you!

The EF381SC is AMAZING, but it's THE SAME EXACT GUITAR as the new EF381DX, except for the pearloid inlay around the sound hole and binding on the body and pearloid tuners (the fretboard inalys are the same). IMO, I think the SC looks better and it's better to save the $400 and get an older guitar that's had time to breath! The wood still thinks it's a tree for the first 5-10 years!

Oh, this seems to be customised CP7MO TT. This one has some preamp(s) installed. But Jake is a wizard, anyway.

Should have given more bass on it, or blended in the bass from the pre-amp.

Me and my Wife got this guitar and it's such a wonderful model, the guitar is really solid and it's surprisingly sturdy.

I will never buy another "split bridge" guitar. I owned two split-bridge Takemines, the GJ72CE-12NAT and the GJ72CE-BSB. The third string on BOTH guitars had less pronounced volume than the rest of the strings. Even after obtaining a new bridge set from Takemine and replacing the set on the GJ72CE-BSB and the GJ72CE-12NAT, the problem still existed. I don't know the issue, but even the tech from where the guitars were purchased was baffled. I am saving up for what I should have waited for from the start, and that is replacing my stolen EF341C. Now, THAT, was a guitar! No more split bridge Takis or any other brand for me.

I had to get one for myself, it is without any doubt the absolutely most breathtaking acoustic guitar (for me at least, i held a few.) and i knew i have to own one once i saw it IRL, what a unique, beautiful instrument. Takamine outdone themselves with this one. I also really liked their LTD 2022, and planned originally to get one of those. What I find also really incredible is these have a special 'scent'. I cannot describe it, but me and my colleagues compared the smell to be the closest to apples. It is everytime a joy to take and play this instrument. Otherwordly beauty, and incomparable sweet, soft sound. Thank you Takamine.

This guitar is something else , i’ve been playing takamines for 21 years and ive owned over 20 different models and let me tell you this guitar hands down has the best sound and its so comfortable to play has such a full sound for strumming ❤❤❤ i can’t wait to play it this saturday on stage . 🙏🏼
