Hill Descent Control: Going down a mountain grade in a 2019 automatic Freightliner Cascadia
Hey everybody, Prime Driver Daniel here. I have a treat for you. I had my student drive down Cabbage Hill on his 4th day behind the wheel. Listen as I direct him how to have the truck do all the hard work, and watch the beautiful scenery as you get a front seat view. Enjoy, and, as always, Truck number 690419, if you see me out there, stop by and say “Hi!”

Backing Practice: Alley Dock
Переглядів 253 тис.6 років тому
PSD Student performs a perfect alley dock while practicing the day before his CDL test.
U need to do this over …. It’s good but u can NOT be heard all that well with the sound from the truck and wind….
I'm about to finish TNT and am binge watching all your videos 😁
you holding the camera, if your intention is to help who needs help, your video is definitely not good, do it again, listen, you must to show the rear of the trailer all the time, not the cab, who needs to learn, is paying attention when rear axel will start to turn into the alley.
It sounded like he was pumping the service brakes as he backed in. Why would he do that? Was he trying to do a low air pressure warning test while backing?
Video's are only helpful if you can see how the driver is turning the wheels. Thanks anyway
I want to see the direction of the FRONT TIRES.. frustration hits
Useless. Doesn't tell me how he did it at all.
Sheesh! All that!
He should get paid for being a mechanic this is a lot of work geesh..
THANK YOU for making it obvious that the power steering pump and air compressor are not visible behind the frame. In at least 20 pretrip videos I've been wondering what in the H they were pointing at. lol
Thank you been watching your inspections appreciate your time making these
i am sorry; what did you said?
Seems like a good video just wished you spoke a bit louder
I noticed you skipped the D.E.F. tank. Its on the study guide Prime gave us in class.
My trainer today said that we do need to name all 3 parts of the steering linkage.
Great video thank you
I was gonna ask how you downshift them manually since most of them just have DNR on a stalk on the column, but I hadn't thought of using the Jake with cruise. That's pretty smart.
I'm sure a lot of the old timers lkke to talk crap about automatic trucks, and yeah I prefer manual everything, I would manual swap a bicycle if I could lol. But auto trucks bring more drivers and they are safer.

Good morning,i would like to know if i am a brazilian with more than 15 years of experience as a driver and if the company has a program to bring a dirver from brazil.
Now he would have failed the exam because the cabin would have run into another car parked on the roadside 1:33. Delete this video because that's not allowed to do today. The line is extended on the exam and you cannot pass for it.
Your video it’s very helpful, but during the maneuver I can’t understand what you are saying because the truck engine makes a lot of noise.
Can’t even see the damn distance because of the camera man
Im in a 22 FL. Cruise cannot manage RPMs. The RPMs will get out of control on steep descents. You have to downshift
your emergency air line was laying on the catwalk... not good
Hello my friend, I hope I did not bother you, can I get your driver's license and also obtain a work contract as a truck driver from one of the transportation companies in America, knowing that I live outside the United States, I hope for your help, thank you
At 3:03 that Werner guy was flying down the hill! Lol what about other truckers going so fast like that when you're trying to safely decend
I thought no videos were allowed. We were told that when I was there
Minimal movements. Use imaginary line .put tamdem in imaginary line then turn right then chase it.
Thank you! I’m testing this morning and I blanked out regarding the reference points ! Perfect timing!other videos show people doing it , but not pointing out the steps taken as well as you do!
Ama fast learner, ready to sign up
I need upset both side
Prime Inc is nothing but fucking liers
Practiced this so much today I got blisters on my right hand 😔😪🤔
Thank you sir, I’m new to mountain and automatic driving. Cruise control is amazing in these new trucks. After watching this I never use service brakes and in no hurry to get down. Now I just need a video for guardrails right against road and heavy traffic in fast lane. Swear some of these mountain roads should be used for amusement park rides.
I cant hear you!
wow I love your training technique !! Are you still training ?
Thank you for this. I’m in Pittston right now and could use your help with off set backing.
thankk you for this !!! I start 07.11.22
What is the thumb print method?
Hi Daniel thank you for your demonstration. Just want to point out that that you missed saying there are no cracks around the bolt holes. Just looking out.
You did not show us where is the end of the trailer is before starting back?
F Oregon and the cabbage hill Stay safe
Best Blindside Parallel parking video ever. Thank you.
Please upload a video of an off set.
You forgot to mention that there are no cracks around the bolt holes at the rim lugnuts
Did two alley docks this past Friday, on the range, in the rain with my wipers on, seems I do better when I can't see , test Monday.
Good luck
Interesting, that's NOT what they are teaching us at school
