Adam is one of my favorite characters, to me, he is well written villain. Vivienne and some animators and writers wrote on Twitter that he is one of their favorite characters, and how fun they have writing him. A charismatic funny cocky toxic spoiled misogynistic sexist based douchebag that you have fun love to hate. And there is a reason why he is that evil. I think Carmilla may be a Fallen Angel, and we haven't had reasons for that to be brought up as of yet. Some of the things that suggest this because she is part of Lucifer's inner circle in the pilot. While Lucifer's rebellion isn't something we can say for sure will be in the story come season two, it is likely that will play a role. And when Sera is warning Emily that if she questions Heaven she will become fallen like Lucifer did. The way she suggested this did come across as hinting that this has happened to others. Particularly since we do see Azazel in on Charlie's call list. Azazel is a leader in a group of Fallen Angels who were responcible for the great flood. Carmilla is also noticably well informed about how the exterminators fight and where to strike them. It doesn't seem plausable for her to have this knowledge unless she had some previous connection to Heaven.

I think it is possible that Alastor may be aware Angel is under a soul deal of kind. After all, aside from the pilot Alastor doesn't really talk to or intereact with Angel. He responds to Angel's commentary at times, but he doesn't talk to Angel directly. It's possible that since Angel's soul already belongs to someone else and doesn't want to address that until its in a situation that can cause drama. Otherwise, Angel really doesn't have anything to offer him that he feels holds his interest or use to his advantage, so he has no reason to really give the spider any real attention.

Molly would actually be innocent of the Mafia families crimes. WIth the American Version of the Italian Mafia, women wouldn't be involved in the families criminal activities. Crime was excluive to the male members of the family, so girls and women were left out of it as much as possible. This isn't to say Molly would be completely ignorent of what her father and brothers were involved in shady stuff. However, she would have had the mindset to understand it was safer to not ask questions about what her brothers were up to. Not every episode needs every character even in an ensemble show. That's something many shows fail to realize as they try to shoehorn characters into stories even when they don't need to be there. This is not Alastor's story and he has no reason as a character to be interested in these events, so he's not in this. Radical Acceptance is the messaging behind Loser Baby. It's not about condoning the things Angel is doing, it's about learning to not hate himself because of it. This is where he is in life, this is how he's living, this is what he's doing and before he can make any change he needs to accept both the reality of his situation and understand that it doesn't mean he's a bad person. The support Charlie is offering is effective and important, but it can't help Angel until he's able to recognize that he is deserving of that support. The implication behind the opening lines of Poison are that Angel, on some level, does blame himself and thinks he deserves whats happening to him. Husk pushing Angel, breaking down the fascade Angel puts up, is the important first step to get him to accept that isn't true and recognize he isn't alone. And as a result he can finally accept that Charlie's support is both genuine, and something he is deserving of. Beyond just being a cute joke, Charlie's reaction at the end isn't actually any reference to her issues. She's just a super feeler, she wears her heart on her sleeve and she feels all her emotions incredibly strongly and she reacts to emotional stimuli equally strongly. Especially to stimuli that trigger her compassion. Angel understanding her intent and care for him, and letting her know he forgives her, just meant that much to her.

There is some context that Angel isn't saying in that brake down scene, not because he doesn't want to, but because he actually can't. The whole thing with Valentino is the current trauma is but not the everything Angel is talking about. In some of Angel's back lore, he's actually part of an Italian Mafia family. His sister and possibly his mother are in Heaven. While his father and older brother are in Hell with him. Since Angel is from the 1940's New York, that was actually a shitty time to come out as gay which does explain some the drug use since cocaine was used as medication back then. An being in the mob life didn't make things any easier. We are likely to encounter Angel's family during season two, so we will get more of an idea of why he would want to cut ties to people like them.
