What a night!!

Always first!! The 101st Airborne Division. My husband was with the 101st in 1967, deployed to Vietnam. We returned to Ft. Campbell, Ky many times in his 22 years with the USArmy. In fact our twin sons were born at Ft. Campbell. To all the veterans and all those who fell in that horrible war, many, many thanks. Three of my Dad’s brothers were there during That fateful time, one fell on that hallowed ground, and two returned home and went on to serve 25 years in US Army, and the other served 33 years in the US Marines.

Thank you for the upload...I am just curious..planning a trip to Normandy for the 80th anniversary. What city do you recommend staying in?

I would like to see the French Resistance represented who have the allies invaluable support at great cost of lives in the days and weeks after D Day

As a proud American, I wish to thank the people of Normandy for remembering the sacrifices of those brave men all those many years ago.

You don't see this kind of homenage in the countries "liberated" by the Soviets. I wonder why? lol

The French citizens of Normandy have more historical appreciation of D-Day than most Americans these days!! So proud of these French citizens!!!

My uncle Mike was dropped into this town and was wounded but was able to set up a roadblock at the crossroads. He never really said any more than that.

This parade needs more marching bands , and horses, along with tanks.

We Americans love our European brothers and sisters, it may not have started that way but it ended that way and man oh man I'm happy it did, 🙏❤️💯🇺🇲🇬🇧 united we stand now and forever

Good show! Nice to see the germans represented as well they had brave men fighting as well, not always for the nazi cause, many german soldiers had no intrest in politics.

Remarkable to see in this parade a lot of well-preserved and well-maintained operational mechanized WW2 US Army equipment… they’re priceless and historical. Evoked a lot of memories of that time and the heroic men who fought in that war. Bless them all.

Under the bombardments, which have razed entire cities, or taken in the fighting. Almost 70,000 French civilians were killed by Allied bombardments from 1940 to 1945. Not to mention the tens of thousands more killed in the 6 weeks of Battle of France in May / June 1940 during the Nazi invasion, around 20,000.
