@gregthompson9075 I'm not actually sure, it's just one I picked up 2nd hand along the way. I use to use a simple Crown Vice, but this one with the rotation head is a winner and makes life a lot easier!

You can Park at the end of the Gamtoos Mouth Road. Walk over the dunes onto the surf and pick your spot. Cars do get broken into, so dont leave anything of value laying openly around inside your cars.

@craigsaayman2427 glad you enjoyed the video, I enjoyed making it! :-) It's an old trick in the Southern and Eastern Cape. To many Anglers have laid credit to figuring it out...I have just kept on tying the method until I got it right. There is no specific lure techniques, some days they just want it drifting along the bank, other days a twitch here and there and then other days a slow 'walk the dog' action with pauses. You just need to figure out the best 'key' to fit the day! Give it a try, Anglers have also said that they can't raise a bite in KZN waters, but that's what I use to say about Gamtoos River! LoL Good luck n tight lines!! :-)

Hi Stompie, great stuff, glad you are enjoying the videos...im enjoying making them! Re the Grunter, I normally anchor the boat once I find a shoal thats in feeding mode and then tend to use the tide to drift a top water over the area to get the bite. Some days you can simply drift the lure with a occasional twitch, other days you have to work the lure at a slow pace using the 'walk the dog' action. I have, by mistake, caught Grunter in deep water, but generally water 1m and shallower does the business. Keeping very QT is the key, avoid any loud talking or bumps on the boat to avoid spooking the shoal! Good luck!!

Hi Jan, i have many mates that snag plenty Grunter on Art lure on the Breede. It takes time to find the right spots...once you have that sorted the lure tactics play a small role. Its all about location, location and location! Good Luck!! 🙂

Waiting for a few days of East a bit later in the Summer for those Kob runs to happen! Keep me in the loop if you see some good action.
