Youre technical reviews lose credibility when you go ahead do stuff like this... calling the thunderbeat a good product. Now i question your credibility to everything on your channel
Cool video! Is one of the other theater projectors on too to help with the brightness? At around 11:31 you can see it running in the right corner.
Noob question. Does this projectors or other laser projectors have brightness control? Maybe its dark in the room and I dont need all 2000 lumens?
yes, it has laser power adjustment, 0 to 10.
WOW SUPER
I like that it is rly small for such a big sound
I've had several soundbars and a surround sound package but it was only when I purchased a budget AVR and a pair of budget stereo speakers that I realised what I had been missing (stereo imaging, thumping bass, etc) besides going down this route one can always add to it overtime! subwoofer, surround speakers. One could even add height speakers and experience a proper 'non-virtual' Dolby Atmos sound. Nowadays, AVRs are so simple to setup, they even walk you through the process! I, too, wanted to go with an ultra short throw. However, losing the most important channel (centre channel) is a compromise way too much. Remember, movies are 50% visuals and 50% audio, and there are occasions when the audio out does the visuals" Our eyes follow our ears to wear the story lives.
Please give me this free as a give away 😅
Hi, would I change the Epson TW9400 for the Valerion Plus 2 based on image quality? I use 100". Thanks in advance
Hmm, that’s a tough question. If you prioritize a wide color gamut and Dolby Vision, then yes, it’s worth considering. Otherwise, the 9400 still performs well, even today.
Is it easy to install the plus 2 without having a motorized lens?
not so easy...
Hi there, very nice comparison, I do own a Dangbei Atom which is bright I want to know if the extra Lumens of the plus 2 would be something you would actually notice compared to the Atom or I would need to get the pro 2 instead to see some real difference? I use the Atom as a daily tv rather than a dedicated projector, my room is not too bright yet not completely dark, I use a gray anti reflective screen and I can see the image even with some daylight Thanks in advance
Plus 2 is bright. Compared to Atom you are going to notice this difference for sure. Pro 2 is a light cannon, if you play on a screen smaller than 120', you should go for plus 2.
@ I’d like to go 130 would you still recommend going with the pro ? As I’m not planning to go any bigger than that, thanks
Why don’t you talk?
?
I also want to add. I want to make a 130-inch image on this celexon Dynamic Slate ALR 135 screen. I will watch it from about 3 m. The projector will hang on the ceiling about 280 cm from the screen to the projector lens because I can't hang it any further. Do you think this screen will work and won't give very large laser spots in such a close throw from the ceiling arrangement? I would be very grateful for your answer. I know that you use such a screen every day and your answer is very important to me. Best regards and thank you
Hi. I'm waiting for Valerion pro 2... I'll wait calmly, even if I have to, until March. That's because I have hisense/vidda c2 ultra and it gives me a lot of satisfaction. But I want to replace the screen. I have a regular gray screen 126 inches with amplification of 0.8. I'm thinking of replacing it with Celexon Dynamic Slate ALR 135 inches. Do you think that this Celexon Dynamic Slate ALR 135 inches screen will be suitable for Valerion pro 2. I watch from less than 3m on the gray screen that I have I can't see almost any spots. But I'm afraid that there will be a lot of laser spots on this Celexon. Thanks for the info

Any seeable laser spreckle with contrast screen?
yes, it is visible
@projectorjunkies4152 Is it annoying? Thanky
Man what out there is as good as this at this price point really!? This projector is awesome
(1) in movie mode how much ansi lumen it can deliver ? (2) max version can deliver 32:9 picture ratio ? Thanks.
0:45 sec. Music name please.
The Last Of Us theme song!
I feel that it was a missed opportunity to show scope films with the projector since you used a scope. Granted it is designed with 16:9 screens given it's short throw and there maybe issues with the focus range at even larger sizes, but it could have showed how to would performed with even bigger screens. Still is cool seeing a home projector used in a commercial cinema screen.
Can you do this but with ambient lighting or a room with outside lighting combing in. Please and thank you.
This is unpossible short throw projector goes up to 150 inch
Can you do the same with Hisense c2 ultra??
Thanks for the comparison :) Both look really good. To me it looks like the plus2 has lower dark level and less max bright level, so contrast could actually be similar between the two models. Is that something that you also could see when comapring them live, side-by-side?
Shame its a DLP projector as I see the Rainbow Effect from DLP projectors
Can plus2 do the same job, I ordered a plus 2 due budget 😅
Didn't like the noise sound, not everyone wants to hear to that crap.
I'm afraid that the pro2 is too bright to be able to project on the ceiling in my room... Any opinions please? Thank you
you can always lower the laser power!
Are the fans loude?
absolutely not!
@projectorjunkies4152 thanks. Then thats a hell of a device right there, holy shit
From your opinion what type of screen is better for the upcoming Max model? White/Gray ,alr or clr? I understand that models having brightness it will be too much to use Arl/clr matte gray in a controlled light room for extra contrast and deep blacks? Considering that iris and ebl Thanks
fresnel is the best option, Vividstorm Fusion is another, a simple gray screen with negative gain (not ALR) or a simple gain 1 white screen.
@projectorjunkies4152 thank you Ευχαριστώ φίλε μου
@@projectorjunkies4152which frensel model For 120 inch?
Do you guys think the Nexigo Aurora Pro 2 that was announced yesterday can compete or do better than the Valerion?
A completely different category, also keep in mind that Nexigo utilizes the Appotronics APLD laser engine, which comes with significant heat generation and a power consumption of 400W (compare to 100W and no heat production of Valerion).
I know very little about laser projectors but i would like to play video games on a huge screen. Would there be latency issues? (For the plus or plus 2)
Do you think the regular Plus model will be bright enough for a basement without windows? I've neverr owned a projector but my brother in law has a $6k Sony that they compare the Pro 2 model to. He said 1500 Lumens will be too dim. What are your thoughts? Should i shell out the extra $300 for the Plus 2 vs the Plus?
For a basement the Plus 2 is absolutely perfect choice.
do you see more details in the images of the pro2 due to the increased contrast? just looking at the feathers of the parrot shot. I'd like to know what you see in person vs what we can see through the camera and youtube
nope, the shadow details are equal at both models.
Is it true the fan noise is different between the 2 models. I heard the plus 2 is noisier than the pro 2 ? Is that true. Please can you confirm that ?
Yes, it’s true that the Plus is slightly noisier than the Pro.
How would the Valerian Pro2 compare to an Epson 6030UB ??
There’s simply no comparison, the Pro2 surpasses Epson in every aspect
EBL enabled here on both?
I believe all the tests are using a special ALR screen provided by Valerion. Might we be disappointed if we can't achieve the same quality with our regular screens and walls?
nope, my Celexon Dynamic Slate ALR screen.
Both look very bad, very grayish ! The AWOL even worse!
Both shots were intentionally overexposed so that, even after UA-cam's compression, viewers can still get a sense of the differences between them.
@projectorjunkies4152 Thanks for the important detail / specification!
How is the rainbow effect on this projector? I'm pretty sensitive to this. Thanks!
I'm sorry, I'm probably not the best person to ask, I can't see rainbows even on an old DLP projector with a color wheel.
Valerion should really consider launcher a long distance throw model. Currently, the projector is not really usabable in dedicated home theater rooms where distances of 5m+ are the norm :(
You right
I'm really struggling. I don't want an ugly TV so i'm looking for a quality projector. But the projection area on my wall is rather small (diagonally about 170 cm) and the ideal projection distance is rather far away (ideally about 350 cm away). I backed the Pro 2 mainly because of the optical zoom function allowing for more flexibility in positioning the projector but I think it might be too bright for the rather small room I'm projecting in. Would it be better to go for the plus 2 and choose a different (read: closter ) projection distance?
Yes, the Plus 2 seems like the right choice for you (and for my space as well). That said, you can always lower the laser power on the Pro 2, and hopefully, a firmware update enabling EBL at lower laser power will be available soon.
@@projectorjunkies4152 Thanks for your incredible review. Which one of them to you find more future proof please ? Also at which rate do you feel projection on a screen better than on a white wall as you have tested both ? Thanks for your attention !
next time your are using a cable drum, you need unwind cable reel completely, so it is not going to heat up and gets burned. but thanks for the video of the visionmaster pro 2. i cant wait to get my VM max in the hand in mai 2025.
you absolutely right!but its only 100w
if I decide to place the projector on a stand to minimize extra wiring required for ceiling , what is the closest distance it can be positioned in front of the screen? Also, what would be the ideal height for optimal performance?
Is there a brightness setting that can be adjusted down on the vision master pro 2 to almost the same level as the plus 2 while it is running on full laser power due to EBL(as you mentioned earlier). I intend to use on a 150inch screen. Can i also ask what sort of brightness gains are on the screens you are currently using please? which I assume are fresnel?
There is a laser power setting that allows brightness to be reduced to 1300 lumens, but currently, the EBL feature requires full power to function. My screen is the Celexon Dynamic Slate ALR with a 0.6 gain, and a Fresnel screen is on the way.
@@projectorjunkies4152With that said, when implemented, could the Pro 2 match the Plus 2 on contrast and black levels? Hoping you will respond today because I am second-guessing my pledge on the Pro 2 now that you have stated that The Plus 2 has better contrast and black levels.
Whats your opinion on NexiGo TriVision Ultra 4K Tri-LED-Laser vs Valerion Plus 2 model ? which is best in that price budget ?
I haven’t tested the Nexigo yet, but I like this company and I trust them. That said, regardless of which performs better overall, Valerion’s EBL technology is the true game-changer here. Unless Nexigo develops its own laser dimming solution, I don’t think it can truly compete with any Valerion model.
for a dedicated HT black out room which one do you suggest . I have currently Wemax A300 UST and 120 gray ALR floor rising screen . thinking to upgrade
If you love 3D as much as I do, the Pro 2 is the way to go-its extra brightness really makes a difference! Otherwise, the Plus 2 is the best value for money in my opinion for your screen.
@@projectorjunkies4152 I have two questions here: First, isn’t it a bit suspicious that this projector claims to compete with high-end models at a fraction of the price, yet there are no negative reviews so far? It seems quite unusual. Second, I’ve noticed many people opting for the Max model, even though there are no samples available yet, and they’re willing to wait over eight months for it. This is another strange reaction from customers. While it looks impressive on paper, I’m curious-how do you justify taking such a risk? After all, $2,000 USD is still a significant amount in any currency.
Thanks for the great review! One question: does it need to be positioned in a straight line behind the wall (so above or in front of your couch) or cab you also put it at an angle (meaning to the left or right side of your couch)? I saw projectors like the xgimi horizon s max and the horizon c2 ultra can do this. Thanks!
Of course, you can play at an angle! Valerion features one of the most advanced digital image correction systems I've ever experienced
It’s rumored that an sw upgrade will enable EBL at different laser levels, that should give the Pro 2 the possibility of having same black level as the Plus 2.
Yes, this firmware is coming.
"The sound felt as is it was coming from the system of the cinema". Yeah, sure. Sure, sure...
