Ama Dablam is a mountain in the eastern Himalayan range of Koshi Province, Nepal. The main peak is 6,812 metres.
Ama Dablam means "mother's necklace"; the long ridges on each side are like the arms of a mother (ama) protecting her child, and the hanging glacier
is thought of as the Dablam, the traditional double-pendant containing pictures of the gods, worn by Sherpa women.
On the 23rd Oct 2024, 11:12 am Nepal time, our founder Angela Yeung successfully summit Ama Dablam, one of the most technical climbs, from crampons on rocks and ice, traverse 90 degree climb to abseiling down in deep cliff.
