8:35 My first attempt at faucet plumbing: my 32-year old kitchen cartridge's replacement task ending had me puzzled as my handle felt unsettled/sloppy when moving vertically and I still had leaking. After lightly manipulating the handle up/down/around, I felt something mysterious happen in the inside and then the faucet usage was buttery smooth and leak-free. After watching at least 10 videos on cartridge removal/installation, none of them (most had a different handle model) mentioned the handle's internal flat edge placement subtlety. Your video's handle (same as mine) is the only one which explained it. I now understand the handle internals - thanks a lot.

What do you do when the stem pulls out of the cartridge, as what happened to me when I used a similar tool as shown here...? Now the body of the cartridge is still stuck in the housing, but there is nothing to pull on...

Broke the plastic cartridge sleeve and had a nightmare. This is definitely not a complete solution as the stem pulled out and left the rest inside

Shouldn’t be how to fix, no questions answered, should be called how to buy.

So this is a sales pitch. Because the only question answered is about buying this tool. Ugh.

Thanks for the help! I didn't understand how to get the clip to come out of my showershower faucet . Duh, just pull the sleeve off.

just saw this video , just wondering how to pull a brass cartridge when the insides come out but it leaves the outside sleeve , this happens a lot to moen cartridges , does this puller remove outside of cartridge

I got mine and it works great. I wish it was made of SS it would be more heavy duty, but it is built good should last a long time for me I'm a homeowner and have a great deal of plumbing experience Very good tool a little expensive for a homeowner but not too bad for a plumber

So if you don’t have that cartridge removal tool. Will that white peace that they offer you help get the old cartridge moving to get out? My faucet is dripping all of a sudden it’s original from 1985 when I moved in

There are other tools that they make, but the key to yours is "travel" range. Most others are too short.

Great fabulous, now would someone invent a tool for those of us who tried pulling it out with pliers and only the middle bit came out and the rest is stuck inside and won't come out.

If by chance the cartridge sleeve gets left inside the valve body, does this puller have the capability to pull that? Thanks

Always close a drain when dealing w/ small parts.

Does this work well for cartridges that area really suck? I feel like this will pull out the core and leave the cartridge shell still inside the line. I’ve already pull the core out multiple times using other available tools in the market that attach to the valve via screw.

With respect, this is a great demo. However, your valve bodies nor your cartridges are corroded and didn't look very old. I just wonder how the tool will work with a 20-25 year old cartridge or older. Just a thought. The tool looks like a real time and money saver though.

Excellent video. I have 6 of these in my house, and the first one I replaced, I didn't know about the lifetime warranty. I bought this house new, so all the others, I got directly from Moen. They are grest!

Hello, great video. I have a roughly 40 year old Moen shower. Before seeing this video I went through hell removing the cartridge stem out of the shower valve. Unfortunitely I was told my Moen that the outer brass shell of the cartridge was still inside the hole. Anything made for removing the outer cartridge after removing having already extracted the stem where you would put the screw into?

DUDE! YES! I work in a small hotel and my cartridges are starting to fail. Changing out my first one and after 2 days of yanking, pulling, vinegar the whole 9 I finally convinced my boss to buy the tool. Less than a minute with a ratchet, nice and easy. Boom out comes the bastard, no more swear words necessary. Buy once cry once. I called the company checking to make sure my order was received and it was Brandon himself! How do I get one !

My cartridge broke off inside trying to remove it with a pair of channel locks. Ended up using a hammer and screw driver to remove the rest. What a pain in the ass. But I got it out, and the new one is in. Wheeew! Thank goddess.
