Not only that, but she's also had a great potential power wise. She is the descendant of both Senju and Uzumaki clans, two of the top three strongest clans in history. She could have a wood style technics, as well as a mastery over sealing techniques, use some elemental techniques in her arsenal as well. And have a slug sage mode (it was always funny to me, that from 3 way deadlock only her summon didn't have a sage mode). If she has all of it, she could have been one of the strongest characters overall. But sadly Kushimoto nerfed her badly, to make her relative to Orochimaru and Jiraiya.

I think you are either missing or disregarding the point of Deku as a character, and here goes my idealism warning. Deku, and All Might have the same principle that Superman does, they do good, because it's a fundamental pillar of human nature. If we live in society, we benefit from helping each other, and the more capable you are, the more powerful in this case, the more responsibility you feel to put that power into good use, that's where their struggle comes from too. The nuance of a character that doesn't change morally or physically throughout the story is exactly that, why don't they change, while everyone and everything around them changes? They are required to have unmovable principles and ethics, to never be tempted to stray from their path, because the second they start even entertaining those temptations, the whole freaking world is lost, because no one can stand up to Superman, no one can stand up to All Might (...until he got cripplingly hurt I guess) and at some point, no one will be able to stand up to Deku either. I think it's good that the show spends a lot of time with other heroes instead of Deku, because I get your point of aparent stagnation in his character, but then again, the show doesn't really put in the leg work of conveying the struggle of being unstoppable, instead it's more focused on exploring the themes of mentorship, responsibility and teamwork, which I am very much into as well

Her character was ruined because her goals weren't to improve on herself, but rather to get past 2 Characters with literal god level powers, and the show made her character idolize and revolve around a boy. Naruto, being a chakra container and a reincarnation of a god, and sasuke being from a prestigious clan with a kekkei genkai also being a god. To compare Sakura and those 2 makes her seem very unimpressive. However, Sakura most definitely is, one of the most impressive characters in the series just by development alone. She saved Sasuke and Narutos lives multiple times, trained under and surpassed the slug sage and fourth hokage, Tsunade. Beat a akatsuki member and created a toxin for his poison in (I'm pretty sure) -3 hours, saved thousands of people in the war with her medical ninjutsu, and she did some serious damage on Kaguya without being a reincarnation of a god. Her development isnt focused on much in the series, but you cant deny that for a civilian with no background of any power whatsoever, Sakura is incredibly powerful. She was also 12 in the episode where she was rude to Naruto, having faults and problems is a key thing to actually improving. You cant fault a 12 year old for being insensitive when she didn't know how Naruto suffered, you also cant blame her for having a crush on another 12 year old. You also cant say that Sakura was a bad character due to her not leaving Sasuke alone because let me again say, she was 12 and she almost most definitely did not know that the 12 year old boy who she thought was cute actually was carrying heaps of emotional baggage which caused him to lash out at the people around him. Also Naruto literally tried to disguise himself as her crush to assault her, making jokes about sexual harassment and assault isn't funny Kishimoto, so I don't think he really can talk about her being insensitive to him when she tried to do that. But again, he was 12 and likely didn't realize how Assault can hurt someone so he can be pardoned, BUT jiraiya. when I catch you Jiraiya.

Im so glad u point this out cause this is a general problem with the female cast. Most their goals revolve around other people(Men) or they just dont have any and thus no screentime. People always hype up how well written Konan is but I see the same problem with her.

I think people just have high expectations. Deku isn’t a bad protag, he’s just not as unique and wacky as the other mcs with huge plot twists. There’s a reason hes my favorite mc and anime character, maybe I’m too simple but he isn’t a bad mc imo. Especially because his role as an mc, is to lead his class aka the side characters through the story, which is why everyone in class A can be someone’s favorite instead of just deku, and it’s not just class A, I could see edgeshot being someone’s favorite, or endeavor, or Jeanist, etc. and that’s the issue here, everyone expects an mc to be the main focus throughout the entire story but mha does it different, class A is our mc, and that opens up a road where people can love any side character not exclusive to class A, this kinda thing is best shown in season 7, almost everyone in class A has a big moment, either in a fight or in some sorta symbolism, and deku isn’t the main focus, so if people can realize this, deku will be more adored as a character, instead of being crushed by expectations

Naruto had never been my favorite character, but his story has always made me sympathize with him more than anyone else in the show. No child should ever feel hated just for existing. Deku trained and did everything he can to be a hero in the beginning he was 15 he had no quirk nothing to make him special and no one believe he could he was bullied time and time again until he meet all might but before he could give him the power, he had to train his body and so he did but even when he got all mights quirk he still couldn't use it properly because his too weak to us it he breaks his hands over and over just so that he can use at least 20 or 45% of his quirk

yup. i rewatched my hero academia and it feels like Hori pulled a bait and switch. I want to become a hero? Yeah done and done the moment he got All Might's power. I think that this series blowing up was mainly do to the anime being done by Studio Bones. Like everyone was just pumped up by the fact that bones was making S tier fights.

Tbh, Ymir's Simpery is justifiable for 2 Main Reasons 1. Ymir found Historia to be super relatable, and she decided she wants to protect her. Simpery isn't all that bad, sometimes it makes sense. 2. It's Queer, she's simping for another woman. I kinda find it sweet how AoT has better LGBTQ Representation than most Western Cartoons nowadays. Mikasa doesn't have a justification or a reason to protect Eren other than being an Ackermann or fucking whatever. Levi is good because he actually has a good loyalty and a genuine bro-type relationship with Erwin (and their both gigachads)

The ting i hate about deku is that he never tried to be a hero in ohter animes people trian even if they cant do it like in black clover the mc doesnt has magic but he still trained but deku just took notes theres many mcs that got a better sucsses with train in the start maybe deku would be more strong if he trained in the start but no he just took notes he could have trained japan figting skills or fight with a katana or make muscles but no he just waited untill he got a quirk to be honest i hate that he kinda acts coky to me when he loses a fight he just acts emo it would be better to congralate the wininng side deku took notes about heros but thats a bit smart instead he could have trained and be a hero with out neding someone elses quirk deku was like a stick man when we saw him but the only determination he had was a quirk if he was determinated at the fristh place he would be a strong hero with out a quirk he doesnt need to have a quirk to be strong like in jjk maki doesnt has cursed energy but is so strong stronger then most of the character like how one of them almost killed gojo thats the only reason what makes me angry twoards deku ive watched a lot alot of animes and i dont aprove his work hes bad.
