WELCOME to Stevie's Vinyl Cupboard ....
@SteviesVinylCupboard
Vinyl records, stored in a cupboard presented by me, Stevie. (obviously ; )
Join me as I go through my Vinyl record collection, resurrecting, cleaning, storing, & eventually maybe even playing them on my hi tech audiophile equipment.
Reviewing my favourite vinyl LP records, 12" & 7" records, vinyl products and other music memorabilia as well as collecting those vinyl records I always wanted or got lost in the mists of time itself.
Early 80s, 80s vinyl, with some late 70s, all presented in a no-nonsense haphazard low tech amateurish way.
Plus a bit of arty stuff and music video as well.
Think of this as simply the BEST vinyl record channel out there (and I promise to let you down gently ok).
Interested? Up for a laugh? Bored? Hit SUBSCRIBE pls
and don't forget to add interesting n witty comments, thrill me why don't you....
I'd like to monetise the channel to buy ONE record (just one), sound fair enough?

I have to dig out my "Tommy" cd, been a while. Thanks for the short.
Always a frequency problem recording Bass during a Live Performance? It was very difficult in those days? Even Board Mix's the Bass would be buried under all the other instrumentation?
Pete said they actually did record the bass after a certain point
Didn't record the bass? You're fired!
Recording Bass from a live show. Was always a frequency problem back in those days? They recorded it! It just didn't come through clearly?
So Rick Wakeman is a big ‘Oo fan, eh?
Anyone else notice that the footage is from 1975 and nowhere near Leeds.
When the boys smash their instruments, it reminds me of cursing at God in a selfish lack of gratitude for the gifts he's bestowed me.
So he’s saying that Hull was a helluva show?
The Who,los mejores!!
😂😂😂
The footage is actually the Who at Isle of Wight festival, not Leeds Uni
For me the most influencal piece of music ever.
Jeebus man it’s pretty harrowing seeing Keith like that and being carried off. I’d hope he was rushed to medical attention. Even knowing the immediate context (I’ve seen ketamine claimed but also PCP?) it just makes me uncomfortable to see someone in that state-lucid and playing music, to a dead fish. RIP Scott and Keith. And the roadies who helped Keith.
The sex,and drugs were excellent!!! Live Concerts… Not so much!
Once a Who fan, always a Who fan.
This album tapped a wellspring of raw, unbridled anger. Teen angst on steroids.
Sounds like John turned up his volume to make up for the lack of the drums.
Favorite!
I'm far from being a musician of any kind but was the start played by 1 person or 2? I can't fathom 1 person doing it.
He was no angel obviously, but Roger at times threw their drugs in the fkn lu. Pete was a talented art school skinny bloke with a big nose. Pete schizophrenic, unlike Jimmy Who was Quadrophenic, Roger just knocked him ri😢ght the f out. They actually threw Roger out of his own band 4 fighting. Roger grew up in a rough neighborhood to say the least..fighting was the way they handled stuff. Get Roger’s book on audio!
Live at Leeds still...is the best live album ever. 💪👍😁
Definitely The Who's crowning achievement
Roger Daltery once said Townsend always wanted to be him... But to Townends credit he said after Woodsstock they had a rock god ie Roger.... the movement the tassolled hacket the abs... the hair... The song See Me Hear Me etc is sublime...
Moon was a disrespectful fookwit, why do people so often idolise fookwits? The stories of him destroying hotel rooms, did you fookwits ever think people owned those hotels ...
I love the live version of "Substitute."
Same thing happened at an Iron Butterfly concert I went to in Boston in the 70's drummer was sick (stoned)
it’s funny how we all know when thw piano comes in more than Glyn Johns does
The Who are better than Led Zeppelin, end of discussion
I was there. It was a shocking and disappointing experience. My friend John tried to push up to the knowing I was a drummer. Within seconds another drummer volunteered and from my pov, he was just ok. But it took some real courage to sit in with The Who. The entire show lasted something like 30 minutes. As a 16 year old kid who went specifically to see Mooney I was severely disappointed and felt ripped off. There were no rain checks or apologies..Moon died a few years later. RIP Moon, I wish I could have seen you in all your crazy drumming glory...🎉
LIve at Leeds, The Who. For many years considered the great live R&R recording in history. Since this a few others have come up to that level but The Who, like so many things did first and best. Unlike a lot of bands that sell records, the Who preferred and reveered performing live and you can hear the accolades from the fans over decades to that fact.
Rick Wakeman!
I like the way Pete walks up an whacks the gong! 1:50 Somebody gotta whack that goddam gong!
🤣👍
I guess Gene Krupa wasn't there to show Keith Moon how it's done properly. No way these kids can compete with the professionals.
Saw Them with Moon & as them self's only once! With No support Musicians. 💪🏻 "For Get About it!" 🤯
Maybe the Who's best live album.. "Live at Leeds" was awesome 🇬🇧🎇
The GoAT 🐐🌬️🫡❤
look up the word legend in the Oxford dictionary, it's just a photo of Mr Daltry
Kids, don’t do drugs.
I love him I love him I love him
The best frontman in rock!
One of the most hypocritical duche canoes ever
Love to see Rick jamming to that❤❤❤
Keith crashed through his drum set in the old Boston music hall one night in the 70s.
Always have been the best live band ever. I've been very fortunate to have witnessed them on many occasions. 😊x
I had it on 8 track, played it on the school bus.
"And then when I came to, i went on the internet to do "welfare checks" on young Russian boys." - Pete Townshend
Rock was meant to destroy you physically, mentally, above all spiritually to demolish your life....That's why Satan paid them so well.
While learning how famous live albums (Kiss Alive!, Frampton comes Alive, etc.) were made in the 70's at engineering school, there was an open secret that most live albums only included the residual crowd noises and all the music parts were re recorded in a controlled setting to improve quality. One of the quotes from a famous English engineer was "The Who's "Live at Leeds" was neither." I wasnt there, but apparently he was.
These guys were the Origional Rock Bad Assez
