Well thank you for nagging, much appreciated! Twas a good prompt to do this. I had in fact done a gig list ages ago of all the (relatively few) gigs I went to when I was a youngster and (in a nerdy moment) had added the setlists for New Order and found two of the gigs recorded! I am assuming the recordings had been intended at the time to make bootleg tapes for the following tour gigs (hence my bootleg tape from 3rd June84). The June 84 one for me is a cherished NO memory as I had attended a college in Soton for the year so was able to hang around and use my free train pass back to Bmth. I was further back and had plenty of room so was dancing most of the time. Funnily enough I was on the phone with my broadband provider and after I had beaten the price down (by threatening to leave) we got talking. The Lady was based in Manchester so I said I loved NO. She was quite young and said she had seem them in London so I said I had seen them three times back in the day. She said she would have loved to have seen them in their prime era. I like the idea of a two video max thread, but if anyone else wants to jump on 🤣Looking forward to your videos. You can still see Hooky as well, hes doing a few gigs this year, a few up north. The nearest he's coming to me is Frome!!
Well it was meant to an exclusive two channel two video thread. However as you well know Michael this channel is very inclusive and actually welcomes feedback (but there are limits ; )
I bet it was. I was going to see The Light (so to speak) last year in Dorset but it was too rushed and regrettably we couldn't make it. Hooky is definitely on my list if things can fall into place. Nearest he's coming to me in Frome!!

Hi Stevie, that must have taken some pulling together but you can never have too much New Order so thank you for spending the time on it. Despite loving New Order from the very early days I only saw them for the first time last year.😮 I did have ticket to see them back in 1985 when they played Sheffield University but I managed to get stranded in Liverpool that day (long story/school boy error) so missed the gig which by all accounts was a shambles 😂. Glad to say they were a lot slicker 38 years later. I’ve seen Hooky a few times, always a good show. Andy
@@andygladwin2049 No problem, it was an interesting idea. I was surprised as the number of New Order gigs that people had presumably smuggled a tape recorder into! I haven't seen Hooky yet and the nearest hes getting is Frome. I'll have to wait n see, cheers 👍
I always thought Everything's Gone Green was the point where New Order separated themselves from Joy Division ➗️ with Bernie letting out a few " Whoos ! " towards the songs conclusion. Truth was always my favourite live track with the rhythm machine & Bernie playing a mean melodica !
I agree, EGG was very much a turning point. The B side Procession is an all time fave of mine. Temptation and Perfect kiss live for me are always sublime.

Love New Order`s first 4 Years ! (Then it went abit downhill imho, some decent stuff though !) Always nice with New Order Videos !!
I do much prefer the earlier stuff but Waiting for the Sirens' Call is a great track 👍
