Nice work my cousin. I have watched many videos on tree houses, I loved the simplicity of this and the strength of the build. Started the lower framework on a mountain side last week with my daughter. Loving this third video for the ideas above the platform. Now I can't wait to get back there and finish!
You're a hell of a lot smart than me using the truck. I would've lean two loong pieces of wood from the grass up to the floor and tied a rope to the wall down on the grass. And pullef it up the makeshift ramp. Lol But then again,I dont own a truck. If I owned a truck I mightve had the same idea as you. Hahaha.
I didn't really keep track, as I just would purchase supplies as I needed them throughout the build. But I would estimate it to be somewhere between $1,000 and $1,500 for the entire build. That is just my best estimate but I'm not very certian.
Using that cedar cycling definitely cost some money. Could be done cheaper by using different materials but it looks awesome I might copy your idea but put my own twist on it though!
@@WesleyStoodley, I found them at a Lowe's near me for 2.57 a board. I needed 53 (they also just gave me 5 extra) so it came out to be a little under $140 for that siding. Also, I like to hear people trying this out but putting their own twist on it. This thing's not perfect so I like when people have new ideas to make it better. Good luck and have fun!
Hey - great video. I'm in the middle of my own build - platform complete and now designing the house. I had similar ideas about having openings to let air flow through - just wondering 1 year on if you're happy with the design you've used here or if you'd do anything differently?
The one end of your tree fasterner to the tree should be allowed to move as the tree sways ... There is a couple ideas which are on other You-Tube builds
It will be out in a few weeks. Trying to find time to edit it and get the hours and hours of video down to less than 20 minutes. Glad you are looking forward to it.
Those boys need to man up actually help with the build..wife looked able bodied as well..or grab a friend sad to see you struggle with no family assistance
Bro, like wtf? How can person, specially a man, not think about just tying a rope to the wall frames, climb on top, and just pull it up. I thought I was watching women pretend to be handy!

Nice job Dad!
I am wondering how much money did you spend in materials. It looks great. Thanks for sharing

Aweee I wish I was there!:-( I would have help!:-)
You could have use the ladder, position it on an angle and slide the wall up it while you step behind it. food for thought..lol..
Ps… did u ever hear of Simpson…..????? Straps, joist hangars etc? More secure build
Do you have a list of the materials that you used? As in the wood specifically?
Get yourself a battery drill, it will make your life much easier.
Did u use treated 2x4's for the walls?
Are you able to share a link to the specs, it's hard to zoom in on the video to see it

If a kid leaned against that siding wouldn’t they go right through it?
By leaning on it?! Each panel is attached with multiple screws, so they'd really have to take a running charge to go through that.
it’s too thin to be used like that is my thoughts also
👍👍👍♥️l like thes
