    Skill acquisition is a process of automation, but the pianist or the hockey player does organise the small portion which remains under conscious control. The question is, how much of it will always be conscious? Is there a built-in limit that prevents us from learning the wrong things without being able to go back and correct them? Everyday life prevents us from becoming robots because we're constantly navigating different situations, inputs, adaptive states of consciousness. But, within the confines of a particular activity, one might expect to eventually become robotic, yet this doesn't occur.

    Love Yanis. But to me, at least, not sure I see the fundamental distinction between today's tech corporations to other dominant corporations of eras past; other than perhaps the tech itself. For example, in terms of market concentration, or personal wealth, the current cadre of tech billionaires are no wealthier or dominant than the likes of Rockefeller or Carnegie et al of their respective eras. As Rockerfeller dominated oil, and Carnegie railroads, their products effectively generated 'rent' from consumers in the form of energy or transport embedded into every product they delivered. In this sense, just as oil and railroads were the new dominant technologies and business models of their day, so too is the technology yielded by today's tech billionaires. On the point about 'consumers providing free labour to tech companies in the form of providing content', this is akin to other industries which have 'no explicit costs' to consumers: advertising in particular comes to mind, ala the phrase, 'if the product is 'free', you are the product'.

    Yanis is pretty good but needs to go twenty times deeper into his analysis and ask much deeper questions with a type of curiosity that is characterized as a thirst for knowledge and move towards a far more infinite detailed observational analysis complete with microscopic analysis and examination of far more details. The argument or opinions he has should evolve and transform into hitherto unknown realms and surprising angles of inspection into other undiscovered regions of related analysis even if it were to seem very unrelated. I believe and wonder mind you , that high functioning psychopathy who most likely grew up in relatively stable conditions rule the world as the billionare elites and rulers of nations. All the data points I've looked at points to this conclusion. Patrick Boyle on his UA-cam channel talked about a Gregory Macgregor in late august 2024 from the early 1800's who reminds me of Elon Musk! Very similar. Now why is it that nobody wants to talk about the insanity behind the creation and institutions of MONEY!!!!! I believe all forms of insanity are closely related to psychopathy and branch off in evolution to become different species of insanity caused by entropy in matter of which all matter is one and the same as energy postulated by Albert Einstien. The result of all matter is a heat death and flow of time from dissapation into outer space and evaporation of concentrated matter towards eventual complete evaporation into vaccum energy ,returning to the eternal infinite void of nothing or an endless vaccum. Over time which is directional to anything alive or dead made of matter . And time is a byproduct of entropy that creatures of matter sense because a creature senses the entropy out of the matter creatures are made from. And everything and every concept is related through fractal symmetry in the mathematical descriptions of the world and universe beyond this planet which surrounds us! I know none of you can follow me. Not even Yanis. It's true! I can tell that is true because nobody wants to make any observations into the thought processes of the world's billionares and leaders of nations too closely. Nobody wants to question the laws of the United States or Their military industrial complex and what's behind corporations ,governments , and the laws of nations in a deep analysis because the task appears as if it's too daunting to even consider for even the most astute intellects. It's designed that way. By the psychopaths who believe they have superior intelligence based on how easily they can manipulate the dumbest range of humans with IQ's of 100 or less . And those number 4 billion individuals roughly. And keeping the more intelligent humans in the dark and ignorant of all the extra layered mid numbing complexity of rules and regulations. Or laws . THAT"S A FORM OF MIND CONTROL DIRECTLY RELATED TO TECHNOFUEDALISM! And what is behind that my dear slueths? WHO is behind Halliburton? And 3M? And Boeing? And how do they evade the laws so easily? Behind corporations . I currently estimate right now , and it's only a current estimate that between the world's pop. of five percent each of sociopathy and narcissism , plus 1% each of bipolar,schizophrenia,and psychopathy , that is roughly 13% of world population that is insane. By my current estimate which is subject to change based on any mistakes I make in estimating the world and universe around me. So maybe over one billion people on earth currently are looney tunes! And half the planet has an IQ of 100. Or less. Now in science that would be considered a correlation. Or a vast oversight. On a scale so large it can't be seen clearly because it stretches beyond the atmosphere. In all likelihood. Now who's making these laws? And why are they making them? You know it's not easy being Sherlock Holmes. Or Columbo. Unless you enjoy discovering more of the universe for the first time you mind virgins!

    So, the commodity is data or information such that the manipulation of the employee class is the desired "commodity" rather than a usable specific commodity such as coffee, yarn, or pencils, (as three examples). It's a focus is, as always, the abuse of the employee class.

    Decolonize your mind from the cult ideology of sovereignty. Stop voting. Completely de-register as a voter. Being registered is consent, and thereby is complicity in the Gaza genocide no matter which so-called sovereign officer is in office. Stop using a colonial title to your body. Title is consent to be the legal property of a so-called sovereign. Stop saying that you belong to/on a so-called sovereign state. Saying that you come from a so-called sovereign state is consent to be the property of a cult. Go for the no cult state solution. Remember that a statement of sovereignty is not secular. Is the Israeli Shekel legal tender in Palestine? The shekel is a shackle. Same with any other monopoly. The forced separation of people from markets, based on birth place, is still a crime. End Global Apartheid - Publish, MONOPOLY = SLAVERY, on so-called sovereign monopoly money.

    I think Yanis is just pointing to a fact which is related to Luxembourg's account of why there is no "pure capitalism" but always interwoven with feudalism. But I think Bezos is just making money from ground rent. This form of making profit is parasitic on how value-form works, not a radical shifting.

    In 1963, Asger Jorn wrote: "The leisure hours is the only thing that is valued in modern society, and the modern form of exploitation is concentrated upon this one point: How can we steal the free hours from the individuals? This is the major problem of modern state-polity." Well, now with Techno-feudalists, this problem has been solved. The user of Facebook, UA-cam, X etc. is spending his or her leisure hours for the benefit of Zuckerberg & Co. The alienation is so soft so as to not being felt, really. The old dictum of Benjamin Franklin: ‘Time is money’ gets a new meaning. And Capital has a new Merry-Go-Round. [Asger Jorn: Painter, co-founder of the Cobra-group, and renowned as such. So what does that practically mean for the economy? Better consumers?

    • @mjleger
      @mjleger 3 місяці тому

      @@batlash1 It likely means more anxious consumers, less convinced by the pursuit of happiness, more aggressive and lashing out at anything, while at the same time seeking sources of authority to ground these anxious, irrational impulses. For example, an electric SUV, which combines ecological conceits with Hummer machismo. Or, working out at the super-spreader gym and "living with covid." The Barnays, PR and Motivational Research agenda for corporate capitalism go into reverse as economic insecurity makes the petty-bourgeois habitus susceptible to 24/7 just-in-time counter-representations, spin, whataboutism, offshoring, etc. It's hard to imagine how a declining middle class and paycheck-to-paycheck working class can make for better consumers, but then entertainment is available at low cost. Many working people these days are wearing black hoodies and have a doomsday look to them, with the "fundamentalist" look for men ( bald heads and beards ) very popular, as well as "Duck Dynasty" aesthetics, tattoos, etc, cheap baggy clothes, etc. The multi-part articles about the PMC in Damage magazine indicates what this means for the educated petty bourgeoisie. A different matter is what it means for the working class. The PMC has its activist and creative class wings and the struggle over whether we will have a revolutionary or reformist left takes place, on the ideological front, at this level. At the level of the political economy, it's the economic decline of the West, Great Power Conflict, BRICS, nuclear rearmament, ecological doomsday, billionaire wealth, etc.

    Throughout the entire history of humankind every regime is a despotic regime. You can go to extraordinary lengths to try to convince yourself your particular society, is run as an (in the making) egalitarian utopia. But isn't, it's either a monarchy, or an oligarchy. Every political system devised, was built as a system of control. For those in power to remain in power. Many different political flavours, same result. The perfect despotic regime is one where the citizens feel a deep connection, to the system of control itself. Even integral to it. These are called sheep... and the more, sheep there are, the less the regime has to use its 'force' to keep control. The sheep are then happy and even police themselves. That's why the West, is so renowned and famous. Its overall population are proud to be their owners sheep. They look down on other less sophisticated despotic systems as archaic. It's the proverbial 'Stockholm syndrome' but on a grand scale. Even when times are tough and their standard of living decreases dramatically, with new each generation.They all still cling to the idea they're part owners, of the nationstate, in which they say they belong to. This is called absolute 'control'. Anyone that sells you a solution, or even a journey to a fairer society is just exploiting, the noisy idealist sheep. There is no way out of this 'very human' political conundrum.

    I read Marx when I was young and came away with one idea, namely that the capitalists will never stop trying to extracting surplus value under any circumstances. This seemed untrue at the time, but today the capitalists continue to extract surplus value although the value of their wealth continues grow relative to the lower classes. Today Increasing the inequity of wealth is the entire goal of the capitalist class. This will continue until collapse or the implementation of techo feudalism. Since techo feudalism is centralized power in the hands a few capitalists, control of Artificial Intelligence by these top capitalists might lead to a viable solution.

      Agreed, but I'm reluctant to use the word 'value.' It's not value, it's zeros on a balance sheet. What makes it so much worse is that they'll never spend it. NO value.

    In the West, the feudal lords ARE the rulers. China is a threat because this is not the case. The US feudal system can not compete because socialism is more efficient. This failure to compete is called Chinese "overcapacity" by the private transnational rentier oligarchy at the top of Wall Street (the deep state). The classical economists beginning with Adam Smith identified the economic rents (unearned income) extracted by feudal lords as the problem preventing a free market that the government should solve. The neoliberal (Austrian, Libertarian, Chicago School Monetarist) counter-enlightenment led by the super wealthy was to not acknowledge any such problem, as the marketing front for their banks (FIRE, finance, insurance and real estate) whose vocation is rent seeking and who directly employ the modern neo feudal government. "Today, commercial banks have the privilege of creating money as credit. They oppose governments creating their own money, because that would make economies less dependent on bankers and bondholders. Opposing Modern Monetary Theory (MMT), banks and bondholders demand that governments finance their budget deficits by borrowing at interest instead of simply creating their own money by fiat." Michael Hudson, The Destiny of Civilization (Kindle locations 4561 to 4564) In MMT, taxes don't pay for anything. Taxes simply extinguish money to keep inflation in check. Some insist that "taxation is theft", but I would argue that rentier income, which by definition derives from ownership alone, a not at all productive extraction from the real economy of producing and consuming goods and services, is theft, and this is what should be taxed. It is important to note that in MMT it is the real economy that matters, not the paper economy. Should money be created for corporate takeovers or education? Financial speculation or infrastructure? For the wealthy to collect interest or health care? All of these things reduce the cost of living, and therefore the cost of labor and production, resulting in a more efficient economy.

    Bourgeois-capitalist industrial nation had been mutated into technological socialist service societies around the year 2000. So, the task of critical philosophy is not to attack TECHNO-FEUDALISM, but enhance the awareness that a modern humanist society should be socio-capitalist and that TECHNO-FEUDALISM should be controled by the state. (as China is doing)

      That's a start. Once we have the toys, we will learn to play. (Think Ian Banks' Culture SciFi series) The state directed techno-capitalism of China will better direct technology for more people than US techno feudalism.

    When capitalist vendors pay a commission rather than a wage, are we not in the same dynamic?
