Jerry stalked me first just to say. In a gold mercedes with California plates. Not many of those back in the day in Leavenworth, the other prison. Real quiet engine, one that a skateboarder could easily get ran over by and never know it. And then Jerry stared at me exclusively at a show in Seattle even before that. You remember that show in Seattle? And how somehow The Grateful Dead started showing up in Seattle right at that time all the time after never playing there for years on end? I used to have long curly hair like Janice Joplin but kinda a younger version? But Janice too had that baby face. But then the stalkers- Jerry and Vince apparently at least- disappeared a month or two before God started talking to me at exactly midnight in 93. I think Vince walked right past me- and at the time was probably put up to it by Jerry, but I wasn't interested in older balding men, and though I loved Jerry, we all knew he was a heroin addict and I still wasn't old enough to drink legally. Anyways I was working in Boise at the time when they all of a sudden got a wild hair up their asses to play there after Jerry had died, and that is when Vince slit his throat. That show. While his wife watched. I totally forgive him for being a 40 something year old and hitting on and staring at me like at that Cal-Expo show when I think everyone in the audience was high and Vince was too. Anyways.
Sorry again for being who I am people, but I did always keep the peace.
