This is really on fire and I wouldn’t agree with Ron hulka by just saying Jerry was on fire. Something was magical that night and they all played (whole band) super tight. Ozzie Ahlers funky keys and Kahn’s bass … they just were in synch and in the “pocket”. Stellar show.
That's an understatement. The first time I heard this on a dingy cassette years ago I though those first 5 notes on the Eleanor Rigby were some of the most sublime guitar notes I'd ever heard. He had the touch.
henry, i'm a friend of yours, but i can't use my real name cuz it's embarrassing, but as a friend i feel i have to tell you this. i'm trying to help. here goes: you're always forgetting to wipe your ass, and people can tell
Why even make the comparison? There’s magic, yet different at both shows. Like with any live show you go to. At this point we are blessed to hear them and the great recordings

Cough. Cough. Why even put that out there. We can be in search for the best jam but creating trite and trivial absolutes and naming this as such cheapens the mastery.
AND, this is WHY I always preferred to call *JerrBear* by my patented nomme du jour: *SenorSMOKE* for how he PLAYED, and, lived, if that is of any interest, etc...
My neighbors must know this one by now...
Truth Recon My wife, too. Up in bed. I hope I get another hundred of these.

Ha!
Is your neighbor a Bass player? ... Forgive, almost got it down.. lol

Right up there with all of Jerry's best...the whole Midnight>Eleanor>Midnight is maybe my fave Jerry ever, and this is the best of those...
This is on FIRE!

Blessed are those lucky enough to have been there on this fine evening.
Jerry made that shit heavy as fuck
Well, that was a profound, insightful comment which added to my edification.
