Tournament Fishing K'gari for 3 DAYS! (Fraser Island Black Marlin)
Tascast tackles torunament fishing around K'gari, formally known as Fraser Island. Competing against 27 other boats in the annual Hervey Bay Game Fishing Classic.
Follow along on this adventure as we share our learnings along the way whilst targeting Spanish Mackeral, Mac Tuna, and juvenile Black Marlin.
Day 1:
We raised four Marlin, landing one for 2,000 points using a new technique, we learned a lot but still have room to improve. Later, we targeted Mac Tuna on our Penn light spin casting setup, adding 150 points for each fish to the tally.
Day 2:
With 2,300 points in the bag, we aimed for 4,000 to maintain a strong lead in the 8KG inside category. We started strong with a Spanish Mackerel and continued spinning for more Mac Tuna throughout the day, ending with 3,850 points and topping the leaderboard.
Day 3:
We spent the morning chasing the 4,000 points we were hoping for the day prior. We really wanted to hit that number in case another few vessels caught a Marlin on day 3, we wanted to avoid a tie! In a tie, whoever gets the points first secures the win. We caught more Mac Tuna, adding 150 points per fish, and dedicated the rest of the morning to raising Marlin and playing with the Tascast Stripey Slayer Jig.

Earm or cold water
I use my wife's pots n pans like that and I'd go hungry 😂. Cool idea
Beautiful photo. Lowhead is beautiful.
I was snorkeling once and I swear I saw a 2 metre flat head just sitting in the shallows
salam satu hobi dari Indonesia,,kita di disini selalu merendam benang pancing baru dengan air panas,,,sebelum di pakai
Very helpful thanks
I love eating, flathead catfish

Super méthode 👌👏
Are you able to buy the trout nuggets there
What are ajs like to eat
You make some absolute quality videos only just found ya
Mate you got the set up
I’ll pay you too take me 😂
I live that close to lake conjola
Mono line should be left in water overnight before spooling, as it soaks in water.
Does Muzz have brain damage or something?
how deep is the jigging spot?
2.1 metres
Cheers very helpful
El agua para que ?
Fish n chips lol😂
Check the resettable fuses. They don't trip but the corrosion stops them working. If in doubt. short it out.. I have a Yellowfin and have replaced the fuse for the cb, wipers, hose and radio. I carry spares
Cook some stew in the Crock-Pot and it'll be a dual purpose idea!🏆
That work's well
Great vid
Very clever thinking. I'm not sure why some commenters have assumed it's hot water, it's not. Water can't be compressed and so it provides just enough resistance to keep the line flow steady and under tension without uncoiling. Nice idea and I'm thinking of adapting an old plastic container just for this task. Thanks for posting.

เมียไม่ด่าใช่ไหม😂😂😂
One of the better videos. Good work. A very valid point about trebles versus singles too. We generally start with trebles so we can keep the fish and then switch to singles so we can release the smaller ones. Keep up to great videos.
You cheeky bastard lol.
Great idea ! 🦦💕
I just pull the spool in a corner of the living room and reel it in….
TAKE THAT STICK N BRING OUT THE INNER PYRO ITS SOO SATISFYING TO BURN IT TO A SINGLE PADDY 😂😂❤🤙🏽🤙🏽🙏🏽
UGH YOUR LINE NEEDS TO GO ON YOUR REEL SPOOL THE SAME WAY IT COMES OFF THE LINE SPOOL EVER NOTICED YOUR LINE GETS EXTRA CURLY LOOKS LIKE YOU DONT CAST SO IT DONT MATTER YOU DO BOTTOM JIGGING/TROLLING?😂😂❤🙏🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽 ALOHA
Не забудьте прокипятить 5-10 минут...😅
Pencil and gloves
I've found that if you add a pair of USED 1-2 week old granny panties to the pot, it adds a naturally organic fish attractant to the line!
🇲🇦👍🫶🔥
How the hell do i grab them, got my license tried to get some but i only can get their antennas or legs as souvenirs
😂
Genuine hacks of value are rare. This is one I will use and am happy to share. go raibh maith agat 🇮🇪 👍
😮😮😮😮
I think this is the first hack video I’ve ever seen that made me think wow that is actually a good idea
Boild the line, and u get nice line.
Alot of lawncare/agriculture folks do similar things. The put the while spool into a bucket of water and pull out line to wrap on trimmer heads.
That's to keep it fresh
