This knife caught my eye in a display case a few months ago while I was out hunting for a Harsey dagger. I got the Harsey and was very happy but i couldn’t get the Torii out of my mind. Long story short your review convinced me to pull the trigger on one recently and I am super happy with that decision. Such a beautiful well finished super cool knife!

That is a sexy blade. Sure love my benchmades. May be pricey but u cant say theyre not great knives. I believe the first 940 was 2000. Wish theyd make a bail out with that blade

These are very nice. I have acquired the Dark Earth version. For quality/magna Cut/kydex sheath- I think SPARTAN knocked it out of the park. Glad they stayed away from nylon sheath…. I have found on many a great blade mfg throws in a cheap sheath then I walk away. The sheath and knife must meet both my needs. Especially for $400 after tax. If I had only one suggestion- I would have liked just a bit heavier on the blade thickness! Yes I would have paid more! Great vid. Thx

I ordered the Ti straight blade version. I also considered the CRKT CEO but the Solstice was just better in every way except price. Instead of AUS-8, it uses S35VN. The flipper tab is slightly larger and will help keep my fingers from sliding down onto the edge. There is jimping on the spine, the titanium handles are shaped better and look / feel way nicer than the glass nylon stuff, and it was designed by Andrew Demko. I paid for it of course, as it's 3x the price of a CEO, but I think that I'd rather have this than three of the latter.

The problem is you have the wrong Osborne. The one you want is the 9400 which is the Auto version. That is the one I have. It is incredible!

I have this knife for almost a month and I'm happy with it. It fits my hand and ergonomically from end to end. Now I know this may not be true for everyone. People's preference and hands differ and people have to try out knives that suites them. This knife is a little lighter than the green aluminum 940 and isn't quite as cold to hold. I had a chance to try out both of these at the store and I'm glad I settled on this one - I was originally going to get the G-10 version.

Otf's are my favorite edc knives. Have one of these benchmades on the way but i have to say my fav knife so far is the AKC extreme evo otf. It's just great and has kicked most of my spydercos out of my pocket.

A few but hurt commenters about the pricing rant. They are correct that bitching about it probably won’t change anything so is really a waste of time (but feels so good) but them watching and commenting is also a waste of their time and will not change a thing. Wonder why they couldn’t figure that out.

I love this general design. This is a very attractive version. I own a couple knives with 6" blades and they are too large for concealed carry. As already mentioned, a 5" blade version would appeal to me more. I just don't like black coated knives. I don't like "blackwash" blades either. I think stonewashing is the way to go on this type of knife.

Pretty nice for a tacticool piece. I like the more classic look to stuff myself but they are still nice blades.
