8:10 why did you mention "paws"? anyways, good review i am already at 40% of getting steamdeck oled (money)
If you know anything about pcs then you’d know that a portable handheld pc with 16 GB of RAM in 2025 is a bad investment in the future. A steam deck could only be seen as a must buy for console gamers & casual gamers looking to get into pc gaming who have little to no experience with PCs. It is a gaming pc on training wheels & that is its primary appeal, but it is way too underpowered. Criminally underpowered. Like buying a switch in 2025, only the upper end steam deck costs a lot more. You could at least say that an embarrassing outdated switch is at least cheaper than other stuff.
That’s assuming I’m gonna be using it for the next 3 years or something. I didn’t buy the steam deck to get into PC gaming I already have a high end PC. I mentioned I wanted to add games to my steam library that i otherwise wouldn’t have like older RPGs which the steam deck is perfect for and use it for emulation on the go. It’s all about use case. In two years the steam deck two will be even better and more powerful.
Steam deck is the best handheld
Undisputed
Steam deck OLED is king !!!
Absolutely
My Steam Deck OLED is my go to over all my consoles and LegionGo/RogAllyExtreme. Adult games keeps things interesting 😅 Buy the ‘Satisfye’ case with the thumb grips 👍
This is what pc gaming is about too bad people dont see it, but your just not gone get bored gaming on pc, there is just so many ways to play soooooo many games, at the cheapest price u have ever seen, so buying a pc is not expensive once you are in that eco system you will see
Exactly not everything has to be triple A max everything. I love that and have a PC for that but older RPGS are still enjoyable especially since I can pick up and play on any device and all my saves are shared.
What's wrong with your hair?
Idk bed hair
The steam OS is pretty amazing as well, also developers are optimizing games specifically for the steam decks hardware which makes runs games even better.
Gameplay wise, MHGU is absolutely the best
I've been playing since Freedom Unite, the only MH I can say I don't like is 3U. Besides Freedom Unite, my favorite games in the series are 4, Rise, and Generations. Wilds might dethrone FU depending on the final launch roster.
I agree I’m open minded to monster wilds being one of the best games so far
Actually the Xbox Series X/S is a great platform for emulation. You need to go into developer mode but it works great from what I've seen and Microsoft is allowing it.
Yea my only rebuttal is the steam deck is portable and has a oled screen
As a steam deck owner, one of the BEST features to use is Steam Link. If you got a game installed on your PC that cant run on steam deck to well, you go to the game on your steam deck and where you launch the game theres a drop down arrow click that then select stream. Youll launch the game on your PC at the steam deck resolution and stream it over your network to your Steam deck. This is AMAZING for games you wanna put ray tracing and heavy settings on because it will only go to the Steam deck resolution which isnt super demanding for your pc but it will also SAVE battery life which is fantastic and better looking graphics at the same time!
I think a lot of the negative opinions you get about the Steam deck from people is because they didn't get the Steam deck and instead chose to get the Legion Go, Ally, MSI Claw or whatever. But they are all great platforms and everyone has different needs when it comes to a handheld. I have the Steam Deck OLED and love it but if I had paid almost 1000 dollars for an Ally then I would probably say the Ally is the best. You know what I mean?
100% it’s all about the USE CASE for each person
I have the legion go (had it for a few days) and the deck lcd since may and I really love the deck a lot Now the legion I’m loving it too also since it’s more powerful and bigger screen and can play anything but ofc it runs windows so u have to do extra stuff to make it work right. Only thing is the battery is really bad on the legion go which is expected ofc. They both have there purposes
@ Now that's an honest review. Somebody that has both I'll listen to more than someone that just comes out and downs the deck because they bought something else. Thanks for your reply and Honesty.
@@wrathchild3581can’t got wrong with the deck. I been playing on it more than my ps5 lol. The deck isn’t powerful but depending on the type of games you play it a great handheld with way better battery life (ofc depends on the games) the deck can’t play certain games though so that’s sucks (which is why I gotten the legion) The deck is more simple to use too. If it had more power it would be golden. And Linux isn’t as bad to use just have to do some minor tweaks ofc Now for the legion as of right now I got it running in big picture it’s not perfect but it gets the job done.
I do not like the Steam Deck i hate it..since the Steam Controller lol
Don’t know if you’ve tried it yet, but get Moonlight installed on your Deck, Sunshine installed on your PC and stream the games. @ 90Hz max settings from PC to Steam Deck and it’s fantastic.
is not, 4u is the best
It's what i want. Mainly play indies and cozy games. I'll definitely consider getting it. Plus, they have exclusives not available on console.
It’s a must a grab I love it
get one! just ordered mine last week, should arrive tomorrow! 😍😍
Is Generations Ultimate for Switch worth it or should I go for the 3ds version? I'm quite new to the series. Been playing Rise for about 40h and really liking it.
Switch version is a must
It's not even fair to compare generations since it's a game that covers all the previous monster hunters
nah 4u is still the best
It's sad that Mhst wasn't even given a chance to prove itself when it's a really good game.
I fell a quite strange here. I play this series since the first and the second one, MH Dos is my guilty pleasure. Kushala Daora still one of my favorite flagships, even the community saying he's annoying as hell (on World he's really a demon XD) Dos is so cozy, amazing nature and hunter feel. More with the seasons system. It´s amazing to see that coming back in Wilds.
I personally like kushala too hes badass and has good weapons
@@DracosPerspective One of the coolest Elder Dragons in my opinion. And the sets are amazing
as much as i love the 3ds games and the 3ds itself.. i really wish the 3ds era was on vita instead lol.. the controls are a pain physically!! but they are the best games in my opinion
That’s true but the controls are better on the “new” 3ds
MHGU is like the street fighter alpha 3 of the series...most times we already got the best entry in a given series...i make the comparison to sfa3 because these games are true old guard peak 90s capcom...the flare, the arcade dopamine inducing visuals and sound...even the running animation is like arthur from ghouls and ghost...full force capcom etc. Oldskool MH games are proper hardcore games made for proper gamers...i would push back on the word clunky often used...its mechanical, weighty and deliberate!
Lmao 30 seconds in and i already going to stop.....MH4U is BY FAR the worst game in the series (old world).....absolutely crappy game with zero though put into its systems and totally miserable endless grind, none of the things it introduces work AT ALL, its a game people should avoid like A PLAGUE
Rage bait of this level doesn’t work against me
@@DracosPerspective truth hurts, beach........its ok, you are allowed to like crappy games, dont worry, i forgive you
I love MH. All the trailers for Wilds got me back into GU, and I am glad I did. I have to admit that Rise and World made me weak cuz this game is spanking my ass again, and I love it! This game has such monster variety! Not gonna lie dragon wyvern bore me (tail swipe, claw poison, mouth elemental... boring!) There were so many in World and Rise. It is a breath of fresh air seeing Malfestio, Ceanataur, Nercilla, Buffalo, etc. I have been a fan of the series since Tri and 4 Ultimate. Since World I introduced my 50yo aunt who plays mostly farm Sims to monster hunter and we have a blast fighting the monsters together. She isn't that great with the tougher monsters, but the beauty with this series is, by overcoming and working together we can eventually topple any monster the game throws at us. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with this amazing game and series.
Recently got MHGU on Switch on sale for $15 and this has been an interesting title no doubt. Really like the Hunting Arts and such. Also I might be biased because I liked Rise (and the Silkbind abilities) and I can see where Rise got some of its inspiration from
Love both versions, but I prefer the remake. Leon and Ashley are more realistic in their dialogue and other details. Also the guns in RE4 remake are actually modelled after real world weapons which is something I definitely 100% appreciate. The CQBR rifle is the Colt 893 in real life which soldiers actually used in 2004 the same year the game takes place. Leon himself still has remnants of his RE2 self where he is intimidated by certain enemies such as the regenerator and yet still shows his confidence and experience. The OG Leon I feel is far too much like a movie character.
It is, but not that idiotic game from 2023 that basically removed everything that made the original game a fun game. In fact it's so stupid it needs to paint ladders and barrels yellow so the modern day idiots gamers doesn't get confused!
🤡
My childhood. I remembered playing this game a lot. The last hunt i did before my 3DS got sold (unfortunately) was the Hellblade Hunt X. I was so happy when I finished the quest. I miss The good old days
There is one thing that I do think is a valid complaint for MHGU: The lack of subspecies. The almost lack of any subspecies. You have the metal raths and the deviants but... yeah it's extremely disapointing and while I still defend it I will still admit that's a weak point.
MH4u is the best one so far though
Have you played the game Dusk?
No sir never heard of it
@@DracosPerspective It is pretty fun
Great game
Hi Draco, what editing video app do you use for this? And also how did you record voice over over gameplay? Thank you much 😊
I use da Vinci resolve 19 on Windows I record audio with audacity and I use the RE central capture card
Salazar wasn't supposed to be a kid in the first place, he's a 20 year old guy but becouse of his disease he was kinda dwarfy and old looking at the same time. The redesign is perfect for me, it shows that he's VISIBLY sick and unhealthy.
As a 5th fleeter who started with rise but is now a veteran in world, the restock at camps arguments actually just piss me off so bad because everyone makes it sound like the game actually forces you to restock at camps even if you don't want to. You can just as easily get the "of fuck, I have to fight this monster without heals" in older games by simply just not restocking your items! It's not like when you faint the game forces you in the camp and auto restocks your items. Just simply look at the camp and go "nah, I'm not gonna restock" and walk away. Not to mention, in end game when you are actually good at the game you very rarely if ever run out of healing items, same as in GU. The only people that will actually restock their items are people learning a fight or are new to the game and are scared of loosing. And even then, it's not like they restock more than like 2 times. This argument is actually pointless, it's like getting upset that the game gives u the ez items in the chest at the start of quests. Don't like it? Don't interact with it. Like you said that you don't want to be fighting an elder and don't want to just restock after you run out of healing items and faint. Like, okay? Just don't restock then. All that being said, this is a great video and I agree that GU is an absolutely amazing game. It's just the argument that being able to restock makes the newer games easy is so pointless.
That’s a fair point but another angle is now I have to handicap myself. If I did faint and I have 5 mega potions why wouldn’t I restock ? Why wouldn’t I take advantage of in game mechanics. Now I have to handicap myself.
@@DracosPerspective I made a reply but I'm not seeing it so I'm just gonna summarize what I said. (If it is there lmk and I'll delete this one.) The part of the argument that is dumb is that everyone that I have heard complain about it like the game forces you to restock when you get low on healing items and completely ignores the fact that you can just choose not to restock. While you just made a valid point, the people that play older games are used to going in without healing items if the fight goes on for too long. It's up to the individual if they want to restock or not. Restocking has in a way made the game easier, but it has also in a way made the game harder. As if you restock after every faint and still fail the hunt, you end up loosing many more items from 1 hunt than you would in the older games. Restocking has also opened MH to more people in the fact that not everyone has time to sit down for a multiple hour play session, some people may only have 1 hours or less before they need to do IRL thing, restocking has made it so the people that have that more strict time limits could end up doing a hunt they would normally fail before they need to hop off. It has also opened the game up to more casual players who would prefer to be punished less harshly for trying to learn the game allowing them to play the game more, get more into it, and eventually want to try out older games for a challenge or to simply just experience them (I am one of said players). MH is a game about learning the monster as well as learning your weapon(s) until you get to the point where you hardly heal if at all, which makes the argument completely pointless in end game. All that being said, if the offer to play GU still stands lmk and I'd be more than happy to play. I would much like to experience end game GU before wilds releases.
top 5 reasons why : 1) Leon Kennedy 2)Leon Kennedy's arms 3)Leon Kennedy 4)Leon Kennedy 5) Ada wong
Facts
Re4 was my first introduction too. Played it on the game cube, Re7 is really good too
I wished I had that experience but it was still great nonetheless
I'm not saying this to... Go against anything you said. Just my person opinion I guess 🤔 I like 4U so much only cause the monster roster is so great! All the Fatalis, Molten Tigrex, raging Brachy! 😢 So many fond memories. I still need to go through GenU, and I plan to with a friend, I've got so many things I wanna do in this game!
No of course I loved 4u sooo much i completely understand and thanks for sharing
Monster Hunter World was fucking great. Iceborne kinda fucked it up tho. Clutch claw was a mistake.
Rise fans try to watch the whole video before getting offended and jumping in the comments challenge - level: impossible
Exactly
I love both. But since sunbreak kinda has MHGU hunter arts I lean to it more personally
Bro I have legit the same end game plan! In jolly cooperation since mh3u\T/
I wish theyd bring this to PC i would try it
Mod it
Thumbnail feels like ragebait
Did it work ?
I mean, this game have the Pokke theme. (REMIXED TO GOD TIER btw) Instant 20/20, sorry Elden Ring, you can't compete even with your AaaahaHHaaaaaHHHa Edit serious : the first map + the first monster is really the best introduction to the serie. It's so well done.
I respect that take
usually i hop on my iceborne save with fatalis gear and hunt for fun and help randoms but i finally decided to start from scratch again. i coulnd't do it; insane amounts of cutscenes, escort quests (i forgot completely world had those) and looking for tracks for every single new monster are all way too much and it feels like such a time waster trying to complete it all again. i gave up and went back to helping ramdoms lol.
I’m with you brother I restarted world 4 times. I’m doneeeeee
I like this video, but dude you have to let it go man. Everyone gets shitty critics in the comments who think opinions and arguments are the same thing. We get it man, people disagreed with you and those people are dumb but you gotta let it go man you mention it like 8 times.
It doesn’t hold that much weight, i mentioned it out of light hearted banter really.
Risen monster can compete with the end game monster of world they hit hard and spamming attack lmao🤣
