@KVAL83 the compressor and the horn rack do not interfere with the spare tire...can lower the tire and items remain securely mounted to the trucks structure
99 yards and a fumble. I do have to say though, this is the only train horn video I've seen out there where instead of blasting the horn at the end, thereby giving those who sat and watched this a reason to not be upset that they just got robbed of 10 minutes of their life, you choose to give those of us who read through the comments a sub-par verbal description of what it sounds like. Bad form sir.
Hi Connor, we had the truck for about (3) years...everything still worked, but really the quality of the horns suffered after the first winter here in Chicago. They were well protected from the elements, but the pitch and the decibels deteriorated; if we had kept the truck I probably would have replaced the horns by now and kept using the compressor..
Sorry Andrew, there is no way to capture the sound accurately...I can tell you if your outside near the vehicle when it goes off your ears will be ringing. The pitch is nice and has a "train" horn feel, if you take the precautions to prevent the fasteners from vibrating loose it appears to be a decent value.
First on lasted less than a month (I could hear the compressor connecting rod hitting the crank cover after two weeks), contacted Vixen and they replaced it. I stripped this second one down and used red loctite on every fastener, been running for four months and sounds like it did when I installed.
I have a 20 inch tire and rim under my truck. I removed the factory 18 inch spare. My truck is a Lariat with 20 inch rims. I bought a another identical rim and tire. It does hoist up and fit with no issues.
All that and we didn't get to hear it? Come on dude!
Sorry, this is just an install video...plenty of other videos out there comparing sound
Yeah kinda lame we didn’t get to hear it.... lol
@@MrIntored Yeah kinda useless there
I agree - what a dick! A fucken waste of time!!!!
I watched this whole video to hear how it sounds before I bought this kit and no sound clip. What a waste of time
That’s like installing a motor and not turning it over lol Hey it’s installed but don’t know if it works 🤣
Test the damn thing man!!!
Seriously say through this 10 minute video and you didn’t give me what I found this video for.... I figured I would hear it blow
you didn't show us how loud the horn is
Watched this whole video for no sounding of the horn??? That’s messed up!
Are you going to make another video of blowing that horn🤷♂️ all that work and never got to hear it
Why did UA-cam recommend me this video with so many dislikes. Oh I know so ican add one two. Play tha damn horn!!!!!
If you need the spare, do you have to take down the horns, or is there clearance to drop the tire??? I got the same truck 2015 black Super duty
@KVAL83 the compressor and the horn rack do not interfere with the spare tire...can lower the tire and items remain securely mounted to the trucks structure
Love the video bro thank u for the info
U didn't even honk the horn ☹️
It's best to keep the compressor Right side up. Gives it a longer life span.
piston up, drain down
How would drain it that way. Your backwards.
HaHaHa!! All I actually wanted was to hear the damn thing!!
Yellow with red stripe... isn't that a airbag wire?
How many decibles?

Dude if your watching "how to" videos (says "install" right in the title) for fun, the ten minutes watching this sounds like a highlight in your life.
@@MrIntored Good comeback.
Is the horn still working for you now I am thinking of getting this one and wanted to know how good it is

@@MrIntored Ok thank you
Why won't people stop complaining... smh

Dude, we wanted to hear it.. at least once
Where did you buy the horn bracket? Did you just call kleinn?
Yeah, they were super cool and the price was more than fair.
and all i wanted was to hear it.
Where did you get the stainless steel plate?
The one used on the dash? I think I picked this up from a fabricator near by
Could you email me a video of how loud it is?

How long did your compressor last? I got one and it was dead in about 3 months
First on lasted less than a month (I could hear the compressor connecting rod hitting the crank cover after two weeks), contacted Vixen and they replaced it. I stripped this second one down and used red loctite on every fastener, been running for four months and sounds like it did when I installed.
Bro a 10 minute video and we never get to hear it!
I just wasted a crap session for this video 🤦♂️. Its usually nice to hear the horns work when they are finished.
Kc Driver swear to god I was holding mines off to view this 😂
Guess I’ll go ahead and skip the intro and go straight to my own movie lol
20 inch tires?!

@@MrIntored what size wheel?

No Honk!? Wtf!? Lol🙄

I watched your video and I’m ok with no horn sound. But then again I love how vigorous Joe Biden runs to the microphone. FJB
